Steve could bend him and break him at any given time but instead he’s moaning in need with Tony’s arm across his throat and his dick grinding deep in his ass. Steve doesn’t use his strength when they’re together and Tony has the distinct impression that if Steve could physically remove the effects of the serum from his body, he would. Tony, selfish Tony, likes that he can’t because he enjoys drinking in the sight of strong Captain America spread out beneath him, mewling for more. When it comes to sex, Tony likes taking Steve apart, sorting out the pieces to see how he works. It’s harder for Tony to be that open, to sort through the noise in his own head, outside of sex. Trying to figure out Steve then usually frustrates him. It requires sorting out his own thoughts and feelings and ego whereas during sex he can focus entirely on Steve. 

And what has he figured out?

Steve wants to be needed. He needs it. He’s glad that he has a power now that people understand can be used for good. 

But Steve gets tired of it all too. The power, the need, it weighs on him. He needs opportunities to give it all up, to hand it off to someone else just so he can breathe.

So Tony gives that to him. He builds a space with his body where he pushes everything else out until it’s just the two of them. If Steve doesn’t want to think, to decide a damn thing, then he doesn’t have to. Tony will take care of it all, take care of him.

Until Steve doesn’t need him anymore.

Captain America would like to talk to you about your feelings. AKA. I find Chris Evans stupidly attractive. It’s been a long time since I just did a piece for me instead of cartoons for a magazine. I meant for this to be a speed paint, but somehow it turned into full-on portrait time. Five or six hours? Maybe? Honestly don’t know.

My art for the amazing fic Save Yourself by Dentigerous  (Tigernoir on Tumblr), written for the 2018 Captain America RBB.

Steve Rogers was brainwashed by Hydra during the war, but the programming went deep into psyche, ready to be activated. When the Tesseract flashed during the Battle for New York, the latent programming was reignited, and Steve disappeared. A week later, Tony Stark watched as Steve marched on New York with an army at his back.
