just been thinking abt how mdzs shows a lot how ppls arent inherently evil and its thru nurture. like wei ying is strikingly similar to xue yang and meng yao w personality and background that wwx and xy were both orphans left on the streets an wwx and my were both ridiculed for their status like being the son of a servant and the son of a prostitute and theyre all p charismatic and very good w ppl and dealing w them the way they want and wei ying couldve EASILY became like xy or my and become an antagonist if he hadnt been fortunate and gotten adopted and shown affection by the jiangs (well... most of the jiangs..) as well as having lwj constantly be by his side and believe in him and so he grew up well but xy and my never had that and always had suffer alone so they became evil. i just really the parallels between the charas idk
