1. Are you named after anyone? No, but yes. It wasn't really because of it, but there was an Anna a few generations back on both sides of the family.
2. When was the last time you cried? Not sure. I've had a few little tearing up cries in the past month and one proper ugly cry at a sad movie. So, recently!
3. Do you have kids? Noooope. I live very close to my two nieces and I'm happy to be a loving auntie who cares for them and plays with them and has special aunt-niece time with them, and then go home and let their parents handle the tricky bits of parenting.
4. What sports do you play/have played? I had a brief few seasons playing field hockey (loved it, until I moved and was too shy). I also ran track and was entirely mediocre. Now I need to get back into yoga, but there's a lovely studio I found so that might start happening!
5. Do you use sarcasm? Oh yes.
6. What's the first thing you notice about people? Not sure. Probably whether they seem nice or not. Or whether they look cool. I think my inner middle/high school "mean girl radar" is still subconsciously trying to protect me.
7. What’s your eye color? Blue-green.
8. Scary movies or happy endings? Oh I'm a sucker for a good happy ending. The satisfaction of it all! Plus, scary stuff is not for me.
9. Any talents? I'm pretty good with kids, I have an eye for design/decorating, I'm a good baker. I don't know! Nothing impressive. I can't juggle or wiggle my ears. I can roll my tongue, though.
10. Where were you born? New York state (which is to say, not anywhere near NYC)
11. What are your hobbies? Reading, crocheting, writing, yoga, comics, playing absurd games with a four year old.
12. Do you have any pets? My darling cat, Kit. Plus I still claim 1/3 ownership of my family's cat, Oliver.
13. How tall are you? 5'5 1/2
14. Favorite subject in school? Well, I did my majors in English and Linguistics, so! Those!
15. Dream job? My sister and I want to open a cafe which will also be a community space where we can have lots of events and focus on things we care about like having a free little library and maybe a neighborhood pantry where we can put leftovers and local artists works on the wall that's for sale and just lots of emphasis on community!!

there’s a local vegan restaurant that shares space and ownership with a yoga studio, and I noticed the restaurant was randomly closed a couple weeks ago and listed as “temporarily closed” on google.
turns out one of the two owners (a middle aged man, other owner is his ex wife) got charged with multiple counts of child sexual assault from when he was in his mid 20s working as a camp counselor and groomed/raped a 14-16 year old girl several times over the course of two years. and then after he got charged he suddenly died (I assume killed himself but idk really). I never met the guy, he mostly worked in the yoga half and not in the cafe half of the business.
Meanwhile a bunch of current/former employees have been coming forward about him being creepy and manipulative to female yoga students and staff, and a ton have quit bc of the way the ex wife has handled things post-charges to cover her own ass.

As of 2022, more than 108 million Americans rent rather than own their homes. While renting has often been the only option for low earners, even high earners are increasingly choosing to forego purchasing a home. Particularly, build-to-rent (BTR) homes play a strong role in the housing market, accounting for an increasing portion of home rentals.
BTR homes refer to properties built for long-term rental. Often developed as part of a master-planned community, these single-family homes typically provide convenience and cost savings for tenants, along with amenities such as shared outdoor spaces, fitness centers, swimming pools, yoga studios, laundry, shared workspaces, and more. BTR homes also offer appealing returns on investment for investors. From 2019 to 2020, the number of single-family homes built specifically for rental purposes increased by 30 percent.
Popular across multiple demographics, BTR homes have found a particular niche in millennials, with the lowest homeownership rates of any age group. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 65 percent of Americans under age 35 rent their homes, and an Urban Institute study on home ownership found that the homeownership rate for adults aged 24 to 34 is only 37 percent. This is eight percent lower than Generation X and Baby Boomers at that same age.

BTR homes offer a solution, especially as long-term remote work options have allowed younger professionals the ability to leave expensive urban centers.
Young adults are not the only demographic attracted to the convenience and affordability of BTR homes. Retirees value the housing option that frees them from the requirements of managing a large home. Because most BTR communities employ gardeners to maintain common areas, residents have the flexibility to travel or split their time among multiple locations. Further, they can enjoy the privacy of a single-family home without being responsible for repairs such as a leaky roof or broken toilet.
Unlike rental apartments, BTR homes may have high-end finishes comparable to traditional homes in urban communities. Residents can enjoy modern, high-quality finishes such as granite and quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and meticulously maintained outdoor spaces.
