she's had her eye on him all night. it's like her gaze cut right through his aforementioned friends the second they all walked into the club. and instead of simply approaching him, what had she done . . . ?

❝ i'm like, super clumsy, ❞ she continues. in reality, it had taken a lot of poise, a lot of skill to trip and fall in such a way that she 1) fell right in front of him, 2) gave the impression that he may have accidentally sent her toppling, and 3) only ended up with a scraped knee !

merritt bats her eyes and scoots a little closer to lay her leg across his lap. that gives him greater access to her knee, right ? and then, she leans back on her palms, the breeze and bass from inside creating such a nice atmosphere.
