I really love Demyx and Larxene’s relationship

almost the entirety of the organization is very particular about choosing their words carefully (whether it’s because they’re polite, want to be perceived a certain way, or just don’t like talking). This leads to conversation after conversation where it’s like watching them act out a play, going through the motions of hospitality even though they might fucking hate each other, speaking around issues and forcing the person they’re talking to to figure out the implications themself, trying to assert dominance through quick wit.

but then there’s Larxene, who hates almost everyone and says whatever mean thing she can think of directly to your face, and there’s Demyx, who doesn’t give a shit about any of the politics and just kinda lets things come out of his mouth. Both of them throw off that usual balance. Putting them in the same room devolves to them slinging insults at each other

and don’t get me wrong, I love the usual sneaky bastard tango that usually happens in the Org (my favorite character is Zexion for fucks sake) but there is something so refreshing about two guys who hate each other and are open about hating each other and will straight up call each other names
