i spent all day on this and i’m very tired so i’m sorry if there’s typos lol
warning: this is a sfw tickle fic! don’t read if that makes you uncomfortable :]
“Phillllll, how much further?!”
“Just a little bit further. Come on, boys!”
“I don’t get what you’re complaining about! It’s not even that long of a walk!”
“Yes it issss!”
“Can both of you stop bickering for two seconds?”
“One, two. Wilbur-”
“Oh my gohod, guys.”
It was that time of the month for Phil. Once a month, the moon would be at its highest peak in the sky, in it’s full form. Every time a full moon occurred, he would head out to this one hill that had the perfect view of it. Usually, he went alone. Raising three boys typically resulted in some alone time being needed. However, he decided to bring them tonight. Techno and Wilbur had gone a couple of times with him, but this was Tommy’s first time, because he always refused to go on what he thought was a long hike. In reality, it was about a twenty minute walk.
“You are so overdramatic.” Wilbur rolled his eyes with a smile, lightly shoving Tommy.
“Oh yeah? Well, you’re a little bitch.” Tommy grumbled, shoving him back.
“Boys! Look!”
And there it was.
A beautiful, glistening, full moon.
The boys instantly stopped bickering at the sight. Phil sat down on a log that was at the hill’s edge, tapping next to him and motioning for the others to join him. Tommy and Wilbur raced for the spot next to Phil, resulting in them play-fighting and Tommy pushing his older brother off of the log.
“Take that, bitch!” Tommy laughed, flipping him off.
“Oh, fuck off!” Wilbur got right back up, sitting in the next available seat, grabbing onto Tommy and messing up his hair. Phil laughed softly along with the two of them, and even Techno chuckled a little.
“What is up with you both tonight?” Phil asked. “You’re both way more chaotic and bickery than usual.”
“It’s just Wilbur and Tommy being Wilbur and Tommy.” Techno commented, rolling his eyes.
“Oh, come on, Tech! The whole family is here, you should be smiling!” Wilbur looked at his older brother, who chose to stand rather than sit.
“I’m happy, Wilbur.” He chuckled. “I just don’t express it as much as you guys do-”
“Actually, Techno, I have a question.” Wilbur turned around, now looking at him face to face. “Why can’t dinosaurs clap?”
“…What?”
“Why can’t dinosaurs clap?” He repeated.
“Well, it’s because of the way their bodies are built. They aren’t structured to be able to cla-”
“It’s because they’re dead, dumbass.”
If Techno wasn’t going to smile and have a fun, family bonding experience, then Wilbur was going to make him smile. Techno had no reaction, but Tommy snickered, and Phil laughed at the awful joke.
“I couldn’t resist myself, but I know it wouldn’t be great of me to make a dad joke when I’m not a dad. It’s a faux pa.” Wilbur grinned, watching as Techno once again had no reaction, and Phil only laughed again, laughing harder than he did at the last joke.
“You good?” Wilbur asked, surprised by how much his dad was laughing.
“Yeahah, yohou know me. Always love a good dad joke.” Phil snickered, recovering from the comedy.
“Looks like someone’s been hanging out with dad too much recently.” Tommy looked between his dad and his brother.
“You’re just mad that you aren’t as good at telling dad jokes as I am.” Wilbur smirked.
“Fuck off, my jokes are great.”
“Your jokes are awful.”
“Your jokes are awful!”
“Cohome ohon guhuys, knohock ihit ohoff!!” Phil held his stomach, now laughing at the playful banter between his sons.
“Don’t laugh too hard, old man! You might blow your back out!” Wilbur commented.
“Fuhuck ohoff!” Phil reached over to lightly shove at his son, still laughing. His sons soon joined in, and the hills were filled with soft laughter.
And a squawk.
Phil had laughed so much, a bird-like squawk came out before he could stop it.
“Holy shit, what was that?!” Tommy asked in astonishment.
“Juhust a squahack.” Phil said, still in a fit of giggles.
“Has he ever done that before?!” Tommy asked, turning back to his siblings.
“Only a couple of times. It’s very rare.” Techno nodded, smiling at his father.
“It could be the full moon.” Wilbur shrugged.
“Oooh, the full moon is turning dad into a monster!” Tommy chuckled.
“I am nohot turning into a monster. You guys are rude.” Phil chuckled.
“Are you sure? Most creatures turn into monsters under the full moon.” Techno joked. Phil rolled his eyes, looking at the moon, high in the sky. And suddenly, an idea came to mind.
“Well, actually, you’re right, Tech.” He nodded, standing up.
“Heh?” Techno raised an eyebrow.
“Don’t you remember? From when you guys were kids?” He asked. “Occasionally, under the full moon, I would turn into a certain kind of monster. And you guys would run away, but always get caught.”
Wilbur searched his memory, thinking of anything similar to what his father was describing, until he eventually remembered something in particular. He leaned over to Tommy, holding a hand up to whisper to him. “He can’t be thinking of…”
“It can’t be. Surely.” Tommy whispered back.
Phil only snickered softly, then slowly started to unfurl his large, black crow wings. “Oh, dear! The transformation! The full moon is taking control over me!” He gasped, looking at the fear in Tommy and Wilbur’s eyes, while Techno looked deadpan, not falling for Phil’s act.
“Oh, fuck no!” Wilbur stumbled to get up from the log, as did Tommy, but both of them had wide smiles on their faces.
“Better start running… or the tickle monster will come for you both!” Phil smirked, walking towards them. Wilbur and Tommy stumbled back, racing into the maze of trees down the hill.
“They still believe that after all this time?” Techno asked, not being able to stop some chuckles coming from his mouth as he approached Phil.
“And you don’t?” He asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Phil, you haven’t played tickle monster with us since we were kids.” Techno shook his head. “You’re just messing around, right?”
Phil looked at his eldest son, smirking as he turned so that they were face to face.
“…Right?” He repeated, his voice now laced with a hint of nervousness.
“Oh, you really thought I was joking then? That’s so sweet!” The crow father chuckled, looking at his son and walking towards him as he backed away.
“Get awahay from me!” Techno commanded as a giggle slipped out. Phil reached out to grab his arm, but the piglin was able to block him. He eventually got a hold on his wrist, and managed to wrestle Techno to the ground from there, straddling his hips as he laid on his stomach.
“Your self defense is improving a lot, but you can’t beat your old man!” Phil said, resting his hands right underneath Wilbur’s shoulders, laughing when he started to fidget.
“P-Phil. Don’t.” Techno said quietly, hiding his face in his arms.
“Oh, come on, mate! You doubted the abilities of the monster, so now, you get to be the first victim! Now, you’re known among the household for being able to hide your reactions, but there’s one spot that makes you crumble in an instant.” The winged father smirked.
“Don’t even, Phil!” Techno hated how quickly he was getting flustered.
“Don’t what? Do this?” Phil traced his hands down Techno’s back, lightly scratching at Techno’s shoulder blades. His son squealed, burying his head into his arms and giggling like a child.
“Knew it! See? The tickle monster knows it all!” He laughed along, light scribbled being methodically placed onto Techno’s back. He could hear the piglin’s muffled giggles, and decided to take things one step further, by sneaking his feathery wings underneath Techno’s stomach.
“PhiHIHihil- dohoHON’T!” Techno demanded, his laughs louder now. He continued for a few extra moments before getting off and turning his son over, so that he was now laying on his back.
“Now, I’ve gotten you laughing plenty, but there’s just one last thing I need… and I know exactly how I’ll get it.” Phil chuckled, grabbing underneath one of Techno’s ankles and watching his eyes widen. Before he could be stopped, Phil scribbled right under his knee, and the reaction was instant.
“PFFT- AHAHAHA! PHIHIHIL!!” Techno tried tugging his leg out of Phil’s grasp, but it was rendered useless. His laughter was music to Phil’s ears, but what was even more melodious was the snort that he heard from his son.
“There we go! That’s exactly what I wanted to hear!” He grabbed Techno’s other ankle, scribbling underneath the other knee. His eldest son, who was normally the stoic silent type, was in a frenzy of snorts and giggles. Phil then stopped, standing up.
“I’ll be right back. This monster has two more victims to look for!” Phil flapped his wings, soaring high in the air and diving down the hill. Heflew through the trees, dodging branches and leaves.
It didn’t take long for him to find his next victim.
Tommy was sitting in a tree, waiting for Phil’s arrival. His plan was to jump down once he had to run, and to run as long as he could without getting caught. However, he didn’t have any time to run. Not with the monster floating in the air behind him and grabbing him around the waist.
“FUCK!”
“Hello to you too, Toms.”
Phil yanked Tommy off of the branch, floating to the ground as he kicked around in his grasp, already getting giggly.
“Phihihil, dohon’t!”
“Oh, I’m not Phil anymore, Tommy.” He smirked. “I’m the tickle monster! Now, contrary to popular belief, I can be nice, and I noticed you climbed up a tree!”
“Lehet goho ohof mehe!” Tommy giggled.
“Hey! Listen! Climbing trees can be very dangerous, so I’m just making sure you didn’t get hurt at all, see?” Phil started to poke at Tommy’s stomach, making the young boy yelp and wiggle in Phil’s grasp.
“Just let me know whenever it hurts, alright?” He asked, smiling mischievously.
“Phihillll!”
“Hm?”
“Ihihit tihihihickles!”
“It does? Hm, let me try another spot.”
“Noho, dohon’t doho thAHAHAT-!”
“What’s up, Toms?” Phil asked as he moved his hands to Tommy’s ribs.
“Fuhuck ohoHOhoff!”
“Well, that’s not nice.” Phil shook his head, vibrating his fingers in between Tommy’s ribs. He shrieked, melting right into his father’s lap and giggling happily. Just when he thought it couldn’t get more ticklish, he felt feathers resting on his stomach and nearly screamed.
“PhIHIhihil!”
“Tommy! Anything hurting?”
He was giggling too much to give a proper answer, Phil realized. He lightened up on the ribs, but slowly started dragging his feathery wings on his stomach, just as he had done to Techno before. Tommy kicked his legs out, holding onto Phil’s arms to stop himself from nearly smacking his old man.
“Anything hurt here?” Phil asked, lightly pinching below Tommy’s hips. The squeal he let out told him that the answer was no, but that spot was apparently really ticklish.
“SHIHIT- NAHAHAHA!! PHIHIL!!”
“Stop calling me that! I’m the tickle monster, remember?” Phil teased, giving Tommy one last stomach scribble before pulling his hands and wings away. His youngest son hiccuped, leaning into him and catching his breath. Phil stood up, moving to squat down in front of Tommy.
“Here, mate. Get on, I’ll fly you back to where Techno is.” He offered. Tommy nodded, hopping onto Phil’s back. The crow father soared into the sky once more, dropping the young boy off at the top of the hill, where Techno was still lying on the ground, staring at the stars.
And with that, he took off, looking for his final victim. The only problem was that Wilbur was somehow really good at hiding. And he couldn’t be found anywhere… until he heard two familiar calls.
“PHILLLLLLLLL!”
“NO! NO! Tommy! Please! Don’t!”
Phil flew back to the top of the hill, and there he was. In all his glory, Wilbur Soot, with his hands held behind him by Tommy and Techno.
“Phihil. Phihil, please dohon’t. They already told me what’s happening. Please don’t do anything.” Wilbur pleaded, his face holding a nervous smile.
Phil looked confused, then looked down at his hands, poking one of them a few times, then making a phone call symbol and holding it up to his ear.
“Hello? Oh, you need Phil to wreck his son? Because there’s a full moon out? I’m sorry mate, Phil isn’t here right now, I can send the tickle monster after him though! No way, you say he’d work even better than Phil? Got it, I’ll send him down right now.”
Phil “hung up the phone,” watching Wilbur get giddy, and grinning himself. “You can let him go, boys.” He said to his other two sons. And let go, they did. Wilbur tried to run, but Phil was faster, tackling him to the ground.
“PHIL!” Wilbur shook his head. “Dohon’t!”
“I promise, I won’t go as long as I did with the others. But that’s just because you’re way more bad than both of them combined.” Phil chuckled, pushing up Wilbur’s sweater and grabbing onto his wrists. Repeating the process from before, his wings draped down, caressing the musician's torso. He squirmed back and forth, laughing at the sensation.
“PHIHIL!” He cackled, thrashing underneath his dad’s grasp on his wrists.
“Wil! A little ticklish, bud?” Phil asked, knowing the answer already. He let go of his wrists and dug under Wilbur’s arms, causing the middle son to scream and thrash around more wildly. His laughter was filled with hiccups, and he batted at Phil's hands, trying to get him away. He eventually laid off, getting up and watching Wilbur curl into a ball.
“Thahahat wahahas ehehevihil.” Wilbur giggled.
“I was just having fun with my boys.” Phil chuckled, sitting down in the center of the three of them. “I hope you did have fun, though.”
Wilbur looked away, burying his face in his hands. Tommy, on the other hand, nodded shyly when he thought Phil wasn’t looking.
“It was… a good way to pass time.” Techno phrased it.
“Yeah, and we’re going to have an even better time getting revenge on you.” Tommy grinned.
“We?” Techno questioned.
“I mean, yeah! Don’t you want to get revenge on your old man?”
“Um, I think we should focus on getting home right now.” Phil chuckled, about to sit up, then stopped by a weak grab of his wrist from Wilbur.
“Actually… can we stay here for a while?”
“It is nice under the full moon, and the temperature isn’t too cold.” Techno added. Tommy nodded, leaving no disapproving comments.
“Well… I don’t see why not.” He chuckled as everyone started to lay down and make themselves comfortable.
Small chatter started to take place between the father and his three sons. Wilbur was the first to stop talking, due to falling asleep. Tommy fell next, then Techno, and finally, Phil.
Phil would worry about his inevitable revenge against him when that time came.
For now, he would go to sleep, the sounds of his family being happy together on this night repeating and rippling through his dreams.
