May be getting into the groove for this accompaniment course I'm taking 👍 Lots of stuff to learn + had a funny moment of the teacher going "how can you sightread Yiruma's pieces better than classical music" and me going "because it's easier???"

#apparently it should be considered slightly harder because you have the arpeggios and syncopation? #but it's like?? It's basically always the same pattern so I'm just over here like ??? #might be because I started off with this kind of pieces so I got that pattern/style internalized?? #while I really lack in the proper classical pieces department lol #oh well. makes me feel slightly better tbh #it means my sight reading is mainly a practice issue/lack of... being well-read I suppose? #excited to see how it's going to be in a few months :) #my post #tbt me ages ago getting some cool music sheets and presenting them to my piano teacher lmao #kudos to her for like. actually guiding me through them even when it was probably well above what my actual level was #at least I learnt how to read more modern stuff #'modern stuff' mainly cool soundtracks
