My parents try to keep chewby on somewhat of a schedule

But she didn't really have a schedule with mike

And....she can hold in her pee a lot longer than layla could. But thats not gonna last her whole life. So a schedule is important. Also just like. Reassurance that she doesn't HAVE to hold it as long as she possibly can. Cuz she didnt really have that before.

And we had to deal with a lot of accidents from layla, especially towards the end of her life. So my parents are being a little extra cautious.

But shes fucking hilarious at her night time potty time. She just wants to snuggle in bed. But she knows she can't do that til she goes potty. So if she doesn't need to go very bad she pretends to pee and then runs for the door.

At which point my mom is like "No. Go potty for real please." And blocks her from getting in

So she goes back out to the grass and actually pees

#this is a dog that would figure out how to hide medication she didnt wanna take #like mercedes #when she had histoplasmosis the only medication at the time came in pill form (now theres a liquid form which would have been #SO much easier) and if youve ever had to get a cat to swallow a pill....you know its a bad time for everyone involved #and we were supposed to do that for SIX MONTHS #and after about a month and a half she figured out how to hide the pill under her tongue and once no one was looking #she'd spit it out and hide it under her cat bed #or she would try to bite the pill and since it was a pill capsule with powder in it instead of a solid pill #she would then puff a cloud of histoplasmosis medication back into your face #we ended up only giving her 3 months of the medication which was thankfully enough #the vet didnt expect us to press on that long. she was impressed. #she was a tough little cat
