💠Yan!Ethan Landry who 'accidentally' run into you at school. He's been following you in the hallways since you arrived to be honest but there is so much students here, you can't notice him in the crowd.

➛"I'm so sorry ! I wasn't looking !" He was, he was staring right at your face when he practically jumped on you. "It's okay, don't worry. I wasn't looking either." And when you two leave each other, what a crazy coincidence that you seem to have forgotten your book ! Wait, you didn't have it in your bag ? Of course silly ! Why would Ethan have it either way ? You're so clumsy ! He'll have to come give it back to you.

➛And suddenly, you see him everywhere. In the library at the same time as you and, oh no ! There is no seat for him ! Wait, is that a free seat ext to you? Maybe you won't mind if he seats here, he gave you back your book after all. He's so nice. Suddenly, he's at the same parties as you. Laughing with you and rating the costumes of people around you. He's in your building to 'drop someone off' and so on. What a coincidence, right ?

💠Yan!Ethan Landry who, to keep you all to himself, always say things like 'No, i'm mostly alone in my free time' to make you pity him into staying by his side. If it don't work, at least you got the idea that he's single and available for you.

➛ Pretty simple things, really. He'll tell you that his last partner left him without warning, that they were manipulating him. That he has difficulty in giving his trust to someone because of them. And now he's scared to love. That it hurt him really bad and of course you're sad for him ! So you're trying to be as nice as possible. You don't need to know that he never had any partner ! He'll eventually tell you that later.

➛Like "You're going to the party tomorrow ?" "I was planning on just staying at home" He didn't. Chad harassed him to come, and he would have if he didn't have the better option of staying with you. "I never really catch people's attention anyway..." He didn't care, it was yours that he wanted. But right now, his goal was to make you sad. For you to have pity of him so you'd stay with him.

So most of the time you try to make him smile by asking him to come to the party with you. Happy, he'll be stuck to your side all night, chasing everyone who'd dare approach. He's tall, he'll stand behind you and glare blankly at everyone without you noticing. He doesn't even need to try to be scary, he's a serial killer, his simple being emits a threatening energy.

➛Or when you ask him what's his plan for the week end and he just goes "Nothing, I don't really have much friends. I'll probably watch movies." with a small, almost ashamed voice. And you don't want to leave your new friend alone. And you think that he's too nice to be left alone so you offer to stay with him and he's on cloud nine !

➛Like "Don't you want a boyfriend sometimes ?" he'd ask. And you're a little surprised but you answer as honestly as possible. And he answer just after you, ignoring a little your answer. He just wanted to say what he needed to. "I'd like a partner. I've never had anyone loving me, that look so nice." He sighs. And while you look somewhere else, he'd give you a longing look. He probably already told Chad you two were together to be honest.

💠Yan!Ethan Landry who plays innocent when he litteraly jump on you when you two are watching a scary movie. He's a fucking liar, don't trust him. He litteraly kills people babe... This guy absolutly LOVE horror movie and even the gorest of them all couldn't make him twitch. But with you, he plays the innocent and easily scared nerd.

➛When the murderer suddenly appear on the screen in a loud scream, the boy plunge his head in your neck, putting his hands before his eyes to hide the TV from him. You laugh. "It wasn't that scary, you know ?" He laughs nervously, moving away from you but still sticking to your side. The side of his thigh flat against yours and your arms touching each other's. His cheeks are red and you probably think it's because of his embarassment in jumping of fear but he's just happy to be near you. "If you're so scared we can change." But he dismisses you. Saying that it's okay. After that, he'll hide himself in your body at each loud noises. Smiling when you can't see him, happy with his trickery.

And that little monster takes advantage of the situation until the end. He'll call/text you when you're at home. He'll keep you awake all night, pretending to be scared to sleep, needing to talk to you even if you're in two differents places just to be reassured.

💠Yan!Ethan Landry who guilt trap you by crying if you dare be angry at him or accuse him of something. It can be anything but he'll try and gaslight you. He'll cry harder, like a kid, to prevent you to continue talking.

➛After he came to your flat one day, one of your shirt disappeared. You had lend one to him since he got stained. (even if you're not the same size at him, i'm sure you have oversized clothes so it fit him) Without thinking much of it, you asked him about it when you saw him in class. And suddenly, he's looking at you with his big and shiny doe eyes, as if you had insulted him. Because in his head, you did ! "I gave it back to you litteraly two days ago..?" And he seems so sure of himself that you start to question yourself. "Are you sure ?" you ask, though. And Ethan laugh lightly. You doubt, trying to remember the past few days and thinking that, yeah, maybe he gave it back and it just didnt really stuck to you. "Yeah, I'm sure. Why would I steal your shirt anyway ?" But you swear you haven't seen your clothes in a while now.

➛Like, Ethan, your new friend, comes to your flat one day. You're used to it by now. He's sad, terribly sad. Or at least that's what he shows. "You know that person I was talking to ?" Another lie, he never talked to anyone beside you. And he plans on staying like that. But he told you he was slowly trying to forget about 'his ex', that he was trying to come out of his shell. And also he wanted to make you jealous by telling you he was talking to someone. (it didnt work, he was devastated) "They kind of called me a creep" and he laughs nervously, like he's ashamed to tell you that. (he's not) "They didn't like that I was clingy." And you try to be objective. "You know, people except different things in a relation. Maybe you were indeed too much for them but..." And then his eyes water and you feel bad. "Shit. I'm... Are you okay ? I wasn't insulting..." He doesn't want you to finish that. Because he doesn't want to hear you contradict him. So, thinking you said something stupid, you try to comfort him but now that he got you feeling guilty, he'll lock himself in the bathroom while this time, you're the one following him. He'll act like he's embarrassed to cry before you while in reality that shit is his most powerful technique. He'll cry before you every fucking day if he needed to.

💠Yan!Ethan Landry who calls you when he's ghostface, playing with you to see your reactions. He's the type to talk about himself (Ethan) to you to see what do you think about him. Yeah, he's fucked up.

➛"Do you like scary movies ?" ask a changed voice. You frown your brow, taking the phone away from your ear to look at it. As if the face of the caller would appear. "Who are you ?" "Answer the question, pretty." "Don't call me that." A silence pass. Ethan didnt know how to contain his feelings. He was so happy to talk to you ! And in his costume, he was so much more confident ! He was able to tell you things he never did ! "I like scary movie. And you ?" you finally respond in a sigh. Ethan decides to skip this part, rushing to what's interest him. "Do you have a boyfriend ?" "Will my answer change the way you act with me ?" "Maybe" "I don't have a boyfriend, or any kind of partner for that matter." The boy on the other side of the phone was trembling in joy. His cheeks were crimson red. "Good".

➛For the umpteenth time this week, the phone ring. "Please leave me alone." you said, still scared by the call; you answered the phone, again, because he once threatened to come get you if you didn't. You wouldn't have been so terrified if he hadn't told you your exact adress, proving you that he was indeed watching. No way you were going to try him. "I was thinking about your little boyfriend recently. Ethan, right ?" "He's not my boyfriend, leave him alone. He did nothing." As much as he despised the way you dismissed your relation with him, Ethan was euphoric to think you were trying to protect him. "He's not, hm ?" He was shaking from joy thanks to this call. "How would you react seeing his dismembered head in your mailbox, hm ? You'd cry ? I bet you'd cry all your pretty tears for him. I'd like that." "Stop..." "Do you think he'd cry seeing your cute little head in his mailbox ?" And he couldn't stop himself. "I'm sure he'd be devastated. He's so fucking pitiful. I'm sure he wants to fuck you but he's too much of a coward to do so, huh ? Would you like being fucked by him ? To fuck that whore ? Tell me, pretty. Should I send you his head ?"

Plus, the best part was when you'd run to him crying and telling him how much you're scared. Then, Ethan could be your knight in shining armor, promising you he'd protect you from your stalker. And it worked ! Strangely, each time you were stuck to him, Ghostface didn't call.

Now realistically: banked-track derby had died out in the late 70′s and wasn't truly revived until the early 2000's in Austin, Texas, but for now we will pretend that roller derby was still a bustling sport in the eighties for my own little heart

Eddie thinks it’s the coolest thing in the fucking world

You’re slamming into other girls on a floor with an incline while roller skating? It’s the most badass thing he’s ever seen. 

You guys met because you were always skating in town. On the sidewalk, the road, even in the mall, cackling away while some fucking mall security chased after you but you would always leave them in the dust. He was fucking obsessed with you.

You’re walking home from practice, when his van drives by and slows down to match your pace. He stick his head out of the window and smiles. 

“Hey speedracer, you need a ride?” 

During the drive you talk to him about roller derby, and he talks to you about music, turns out you guys like a lot of the same artists!

mans is literally on cloud nine: as if you could be any more perfect. 

Drops you off and calls out to you “Maybe I’ll come by some time, watch you do your thing, yeah?” 

“I’ll be looking for you, Munson.” 

and he was done for. 

Supportive boyfriend supreme right there, nobody can top him. 

Has cancelled postponed hellfire so he can go see you play. 

Never gives them a set reason though. He likes to make them wonder because he’s a dramatic son of a bitch. 

“Sorry boys, but the oh-so mysterious dungeon master has more important plans for the evening. You go find somebody else to squawk at tonight.” 

Cheering your derby name (Spawn of Skatan) so loud you would think he was performing a song. 

“That’s my fucking girl! You got this!” 

Gets the team shirt and everything. 

At half time he’s jogging up to the team bench and pressing a kiss to the top of your helmet and “you’re kicking ass, babe. Just one half left and you ladies take home the win, alright?” 

Definitely moments of anxiety watching you up there because holy shit do you get bruised up and the risk of injury is for real. 

If you ever get knocked down and don’t get back up? He’s sprinting and jumping onto the track before anybody can say a work and taking you into his arms. Let them fucking try and stop him and he’ll swing. 

When the bout is over though? Oh he’s cheering loud as hell. Win or Lose.  

“That’s fucking right! That’s my girl right there!! fuck yeah!!” 

running over and cupping your sweaty face in his hands and kissing you while your teammates hoot and holler.

After you both sit down in a boot at your favorite diner, eating greasy burgers and dipping your fries in a strawberry shake as you remark on what went well and what didn’t, with some feedback from Eddie of course. 

“It was hot as fuck when you slammed that one chick down, babes.” 

he tries his best.

Afterwards you take a hot shower at his trailer and slip into bed where he holds you with gentle hands as he presses kisses to the bruises and scrapes that lines your body, soft praise being whispered between each one. 

You're sore as can be the next day, but waking up in his arms makes it feel a big sweeter.

Michael, Marquess of Bourne, A Rogue by Any Other Name. So hot. One of my favorite heroes ever. He's such a bastard, but you can also tell that a lot of it is self loathing and a desperation to contain his emotions because he doesn't trust himself due to his gambling problem. Bourne is so nasty, though, both on a general level and a sexual level. I know that a lot of people think he went a bridge too far a couple of times, which I personally disagree with.... But more Bourne for me, I guess. He's just so growly and mean.

Henry, Duke of Clayborne, Heartbreaker. A lot of y'all haven't met him yet so I'll hold back but uh. He's like. A fucking lot. The daddy-est of Sarah MacLean's heroes, for sure. When she said she was writing a stern brunch daddy... She wrote a stern brunch daddy. Like a hair-pulling ass-slapping stern brunch daddy. I just think he's neat.

Gabriel, Marquess of Ralston, Nine Rules to Break When Romancing A Rake. An oldie but a goodie. Ralston is such a great slutty hero, a man who just wants to eat pussy and fuck you on a chaise and call you his empress and shit. He's kind of a hopeless mess and I love him for that.

Cross, One Good Earl Deserves A Lover. What a spectacular dirty talker. I love Cross for his secret pain and his secret celibacy and his general angst. I also love that he is a bold! Ginger hero! But most of all, I love the dirty talk. Truly iconic behavior.

Malcolm, Duke of Haven, The Day of the Duchess. A controversial but brave take because Haven is one of the only legit cheaters I've read in historical romance, especially in a book published after 2000, but what can I say. He goes to the doghouse bad, and he earns his penance, and I personally think his character development is fabulous. And the thing is? I never doubted he loved Sera, even though he did in fact sleep with someone else. He was just fucked up about her own betrayal of him--and while that never justified his actions, it did shed light on them.

Ewan, Duke of Marwick, Daring and the Duke. What can I say? I love a villain. And Ewan is most certainly that for like, two whole books. I think what sold me on Ewan was actually in Wicked and the Wallflower. He kind of stole that whole book for me. Just his aggressive obsession with Grace and the way his behavior entirely transformed when he realized she was still alive and Devil and Whit had been keeping her from him. He became a different guy! And then he became a different one again when he finally found her. A true wifeguy former villain.

King, Marquess of Eversley, The Rogue Not Taken. What a fun guy. What an adventurous dude. I did seriously enjoy the fact that he ate Sophie out in a moving carriage for fun, and I also enjoyed his pouting dickishness when she sort of fucked him over. The thing about King is that I think that he's the most Ralston-like of MacLean's other heroes, whereas Bourne is probably the blueprint for many of the other ones today.

Alex Stuart, Duke of Warnick, a Scot in the Dark. MY POOR BIGGEST BOY. MY SADLY OBJECTIFIED GIANT MAN. I've seen some people mock the fact that Alex's big pain is that women have like, loved and used him for being like... a giant, but I found that really legit and an interesting commentary on some pretty weird tropes you can find in Scottish books to this day. Like I love a Giant Scottish Warrior Guy as much as the next girl, but it can get a bit creepy and fetishistic at points, right? We can all admit that, can't we? Anyway, it's not Alex's fault that his cock is too giant. I shall save him.

Simon Pearson, the Duke of Leighton, Eleven Scandals to Start to Win A Duke's Heart. What a classic uptight, stuffy lord. I really enjoy a man who's like I HAVE MORALS before like, publicly fingerbanging a woman. Simon is a very classic Type of hero, but it's a pleasing Type.

Temple, No Good Duke Goes Unpunished. Listen man, I know this book is controversial among MacLean readers but I call the people who hate it pussies, to be honest. Temple is a really good hero. He has legit grievances against the heroine, he's been accused of murder!!! He falls in love with a woman who almost married his dad and eats her out in a boxing ring. What do we call that? Iconic behavior.

Whit, Brazen and the Beast. You have to love a hero who loves being tied up, and Whit certainly does enjoy that. In all honesty, the first two Bareknuckle Bastard books are kind of eclipsed by Daring for me, but I do love Whit's total bemusement with Hattie, his adoration of her, his aggressive protection of her.

Devil, Wicked and the Wallflower. Wicked is probably one of my least favorite MacLean books, but Devil is still a super solid hero, and I love that his grovel involved almost freezing to death.

Duncan West, Never Judge A Lady by Her Cover. Dude, I love that this guy is like, a roving newspaperman who owns a POOL. He's just a fun, smart alecky kind of guy. I probably like him more than I like his book, and I do think he's a bit confined by it (I'm not sure I buy the idea of him signing up for stepfatherhood that quickly?) but he's still really good.

Nicholas St. John, Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing A Lord. I think Sarah has said that this is generally her least popular book, and I can't deviate from that, to be honest? It's a solid book, I just don't find it as exciting as her typical novels, and Nick does suffer by comparison. He is Ralston's twin, and he's great in bed, and he has a cool scar, but I don't think he quite stands up to Ralston. If Ralston didn't exist, he'd probably be higher up on the list.

The section of the season watch through I've been most looking forward to, Seb's nine consecutive race wins. At the time as a returning fan it didn't really sink in how much of a big deal it was at the time... I was just happy to see Seb win 😅

I believe this is going to be a Sewis podium too so a very nice added bonus!

It feels wild that Alonso and Raikkonen were still genuine title contenders at this point... then brat Seb showed up and said fuck your title hopes

Listen when Seb wins 9 races in a row it's sexy and never been done before, when Verstappen does it I hate it. I know I'm very biased.

ANYWAY, starting grid: Lewis pole and Seb P2 🥰, Jenson P6!!!! Hell yeah!!!! ...Jev P18 and Dan P19 😭 starting grid whiplash returneth

Heeyy I'm back! I 100% agree with you in the past few days I've spent so much time with a new widow and like 20 wookieepedia articles open just going on search-tangents, it's so fun! Like the SW universe just... Never stops? You can just want to look up someone's dob and 2 hours later you're realising Tatooiine is in the Arkanis sector and Arkanis is right next to it and so is Geonosis apparently?? Still haven't come back from that one. But yeah I totally get the enthusiasm. And the HC about dates is actually good, especially for my poor brain who's having a hard time with all the stuff that's not explained haha

Mainly I just wanted to say I watched the prequels in a night and the next afternoon and it was very fun! (because for once I hadn't heard every nitpick and criticism possible on the movies :') apart from like, Hayden Christensen's acting) But I wanted to let you know, I had Obikin in mind all throughout the movies and... Yeah. Yeeaah. Yep yep yep. Love it. I started the second Aftermath book but partway I got distracted and went looking for fics :')) So far I've read a few and it's super fun because it differs from my other ships on a few things and I like the change for once :') If there are any fics you think are super good or you want to talk about, feel free to recommend them! And you know what that quote smacks me across the face because its so fucking true, they love each other so completely but the story just has to go on and ahhhhh

So now i have to admit im bad and haven't read a whole lot of fic for any ship in a long while 😅 reading is just hard for me, im unmedicated adhd so I tend to not read if I can get away with it but if you want my recs, I will always handsdown recommend the Matthew Stover RotS novelization, while not a fic its pure obikin for like 300 pages and its considered a canon novel which. Canon obikin? Yes please! I also like these fics:

Both of these are absolutely amazing! Short, but again im super adhd and not medicated whatsoever so sitting and reading anything over 10k isn't happening unless its my own fic (and even then it doesn't always happen lmao)

Now onto your last point: the only ship names I've seen for obikin are obikin (obv lol) and aniobi? There's also ships with both of them plus a third such as quiobiani (Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan/Anakin) and obianidala (Obi-Wan/Anakin/Padmé), and im sure there's others but im blanking on what they're called atm but honestly im sure people will get what you mean regardless of what tag you use! I say this as someone who very rarely tags posts lmao, sorry I cant be more helpful!

And side note, if you want some more deep diving and random info that isn't considered canon but is actually in Legends, I highly recommend the book Darth Plagueis by James Luceno. Its obv about Plagueis yes, but it talks pretty extensively about midichlorians and the research Plagueis was doing on Aborah in an attempt to prolong his life (and of course then you can say you have in fact heard the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise). I fully intend on reading more Legends books, in fact I have Master & Apprentice by Claudia Grey sitting next to me rn but I havent taken the time to read it yet (if you're unfamiliar, its the #1 "canon" quiobi novel!)

okay so like. for background. the hitman franchise has been around since 2000 but in 2016 there was a soft reboot and the world of assassination trilogy started (i'm a new fan, i only got really into it january of this year, right before hitman 3 came out)

hfdjskfjhg don't even know where to start honestly. basically it's a Murder Game on the surface. you go to various sandbox locations around the world and kill various people.

but who the hell would i be if i didn't get obsessed with the story of hitman? which is impossibly convoluted at first but it's still my beloved <33 again i don't even know what to tell you because there's hitman as a game and then there's hitman to me

i should say that they're very fun games!!! can't speak for the earlier ones, but the world of assassination trilogy is fantastic!! but there is also a story. and characters. characters i have gotten extremely attached to. characters i've written nine fics about fghdsjkadjfhg

there's also one of the greatest characters Of All Time: lucas grey. man i'd need like a thousand words to describe lucas,,, but like. he's introduced as the antagonist in hitman 2016 but it's revealed that he's actually 47's (the protagonist and player character of hitman) brother

and fuck i'm realizing there's so much more context ghfjdksdfjhg basically 47 was a clone engineered to be a master assassin and there were Others and lucas was one of them and he was assumed to be dead and 47 had lost his memory because of a serum and they were friends and they planned to escape, they planned their revenge, and it went wrong and lucas escaped and became lucas grey (he was known as 6 before)

okay this is just becoming a lucas grey ramble but since we're here. so he became a mercenary and later on he sort of adopted this girl named olivia who much later became his second in command and fuck i've gotten too caught up in the backstory fhdsjkfdhgj

Why I'm peeved about current LGBTQ+ Rep. Written by a little gay!

Okay, first off, not happy with the LGBT rep in current media [2021] As I have consumed media since I was a kid and I know better.

So when I give crticisms about it, I'm not saying "Ew stinky lgbt-" Like I'm some strawmen for your argument you wish.

It means I want better.

Since LGBT stuff in media had to be SUBTLE it was conveyed through queer-coding, aka. SUBTEXT.

But now movie writers have caught on and use that as an excuse to bring in lgbt audiences and keep it hetero enough for world wide audiences as in. [aka queer-BAITING]

Having their cake and eat it too but guess what? I expect better. I expect MORE.

I want Subtext into TEXT. SInce now we can demand they make it more obvious and stop being vaugue.

Even worse when older movies have better representation than current movies, for example.

This movie was ahead of it's time with real world problems [such as margaret thatcher removing the mines] Along with a boy wanting to do ballet [Breaking gender norms than ballet isn't a girl sport, it's a sport end off] Having a young child being a carer, and a family that was not so supportive then being supportive in their own way ANNDD.

Or worse yet, when someone says they won't do a movie because they'd change a canon gay character into a heterosexual one I agree with them walking away.

esp since I've been told since ever that kirk/spock in star trek were a canon couple but because they were already pushing it with politics/poc cast/etc they couldn't do anything else.

And now we have william shatner saying kirk is straight and having fans agreeing with him.

Since fans agree with jensen ackles saying Dean is bi for Cas since he's the actor he should know better right?

So since William shatner is the actor and played kirk longer he defiently knows everything about this character.

So watered down gay characters will then be argued that "We're changing them, when that's not canon because of sick fetishing fantasies."

Lgbt is no where NEAR it's goal of being equel, just having a character being vaugue bi isn't enough,

To even HAVE queer content needs to be written well, and need a quantity for every hetero chick flick/romance stories since 1891.

So for every love story we need a quantity to MATCH that to even begin to being equel. And since I can only think of a few good number of lgbt shows on one hand thats no where NEAR enough.

So i am so SORRY that I want more better content than fucking Queer force, and this table scraps when I know they can do better.
