"You know, I'm a little tired of doing this." You didn't meet his gaze as you swiped the peroxide soaked cotton ball over his wounds. Wincing, Murayama only frowned at you. "Not even getting paid or anything."
His frown deepened, "you do it because you care about me and don't want to see me hurt."
"Sure, let's go with that."
"Y/N."
"Kidding, I'm kidding, 'Yama," you grinned at him. Covering the deeper scratches with cute band-aids, you gave him a once over before nodding in satisfaction. "'Kay, you're all done."
Murayama held the frown on his face, occasionally clenching his jaw as he looked you over. It made you tilt your head in confusion — just what was going on through his head? Licking your lips, you spoke up. "What's up?"
"Nothin'," he shook his head. Looking down, he adjusted his posture so that his elbows were on his knees, hands clenched together between them. Always a man-spreader, you thought in amusement. He caught your eyes once more.
"Seriously," you studied him, lips tilted down. "You've never been like this the other times I patched you up. What's so different about today?"
"I was worried about you."
"Me? You're the one who gets into fights, 'Yama."
Looking at you again, Murayama sighed. Slapping his thighs with his hands, he straightened up to meet your gaze head on. "...He was talking about you."
Titling your head again, you puffed up your cheeks. "What about me?"
"Sayin' stuff about how weak you look," he shrugged. His tone was calm, but his eyes were unfocused and his fists were clenching again as he held back his anger. "Saw you with us one day and I guess he decided you'd be a target. Couldn't find you today, though, so he just talked shit instead."
You snorted, hand covering your mouth in order to muffle your laughter. "He sounds like an idiot — complete worm for brains."
Murayama let out an exasperated sigh, his head falling into his hands. "Y/N, I'm being serious."
"So am I!" You grinned at his disgruntled figure. Raking a hand through his wavy locks, your smile softened into something sweeter — something more understanding. "I doubt I'll ever cross paths with anyone so mean and scary without my personal bodyguards, anyways."
His head shot up so he could glare at you. "Your friends — 'm your best friend, not a bodyguard."
"Yeah, yeah," you rolled your eyes. Giving his hair one last ruffle, you placed a convincing smile on your face. "I'll be okay, 'Yama. Always am."
"Still," he chewed on his bottom lip. Grabbing your hand, he placed it back on his head so that you'd have to give his messy strands more love. "Would feel better if you knew how to defend yourself better."
Humming, you twirled his hair as you thought his words over. It would be helpful to learn more than a few basics — Todoroki wasn't a patient teacher, after all, and he'd only taught you how to throw a proper punch before giving up. "How about this — after you heal a little more you can teach me a few tricks. Deal?"
Grinning wickedly, Murayama grabbed your hand again to place a kiss on your wrist. "'M gonna kick your ass, Y/N — be ready."
—— ♥︎ ——
Sweating — it'd only been ten minutes at most and your figure was already damp with sweat. Huffing and puffing, you held out a finger, signaling for Murayama to give you a minute. Letting out a loud cackle, he bounced in place as you caught your breath.
"Good to go?" He questioned as you straightened up. Nodding with a gulp, Murayama was on you before you could finish your thought. With a squeak, you ducked so that the boy flew over you. "No fair, Y/N!"
Murayama quickly fixed himself, turning and charging at you once more. Hands flew as you defended yourself against him to the best of your ability, small shrieks leaving you lips accompanied with Murayama's giggles. Knocking you onto the mat below you, he grinned, satisfied that he had you down again.
You didn't think before your legs latched into Murayama's, bringing him down onto his knees. Adjusting so you were comfortable, one leg ended up perched against his hip while the other bent around his thigh.
Clueless on what to do with your hands, they laid on the floor uselessly. You pursed your lips, tilting your head before looking up at the curly haired boy. "Now what?" He only blinked down at you. "'Yama? What do I do with my hands now?"
Something hazed over his eyes, clouding his thoughts and drifting him away from what he was doing. Fighting — Murayama was supposed to be teaching you how to defend yourself. Now, however — now all he could do is stare at your lips.
One bruised hand clutched at your knee, the other settling on your stomach. Murayama could only peer down at you in a daze, mind wandering and thoughts pushing against each other. His left hand drifted up your torso before it stopped at your neck, fingers cupping around the back of your head. A swift move of his thumb was all it took for your chin to be pointed to the ceiling.
"This doesn't feel like you're teaching me anything, you know." You gulped, hoping your voice came off playfully and not as shaky as you felt. He only blinked again, gazing down at you before slowly leaning forward. You tried one more time, "Murayama?"
His lips pushed into yours without another thought. Colliding and pulling away before they hit again and again and again. At this point, you were struggling to breathe, only small gasps being let out.
A strained laugh escaped your lips as Murayama pulled back only slightly. "S'not a fighting technique, 'Yama."
Pulling back a little further, his eyes met yours as he looked for reassurance. He bit his lip, "wanna stop?"
You shook your head with a grin, a hand coming to cup his cheek. "Nuh uh." Without another word you pulled him back down, his answering smile clashing with yours.
His thumb was still on your chin — something you only noticed when he tugged on it. Following his silent instructions, you opened your mouth wider so he could delve further into you. Hands tangled themselves into his hair now, hoping and wanting to bring him closer.
Taking a breath, your voice throaty and gasping as you tucked a strand of his hair behind his ear. "Think you've been upgraded from a bodyguard."
"Y/N," exasperated, Murayama made a show of rolling his eyes at you. Flopping so that his full weight was on you now, he stuffed his face into your neck, placing a kiss or two there. "Not your damn bodyguard."
"Knight in shining armor?"
"Boyfriend — 'm your boyfriend, you asshole." Pulling back from your neck, he pouts before kissing your nose. Putting your foreheads together, he let out a sigh of content.
Deciding to keep teasing him, you hummed before locking your arms behind his neck. "Who said you were my boyfriend, huh?"
"Y/N!"
"Kidding! Completely kidding, 'Yama."

OK HEAR ME OUT- Antonio with a little lady who helps him comb his hair then while he's asleep braids it
Tumblr media
Antonio with S/O who combs & braids his hair 🥺
Header via Identity V Official Twitter
{Headcanons/Scenarios}
Female! S/O
___
Ah-
The sight would be very wholesome,,,,
Before, he would usually take in charge of his long hair himself.
But he trusts you that his hair will be in good hands ☺️
And heck, he isn’t wrong about that-
Antonio would think that your mind has a creative spark; your hairstyles you give in his hair would usually be different from the previous ones.
It has been a while since he properly treated his hair, and your careful ways to comb it make him feel much more relaxed and sleepy,,, UvU
Like finally- He gets to somehow repose from his conscious, active state!
It honestly helps him feel more stylish and presentable, too!
Since he always has that messy long hair with the tips pointing in different angles, according to what he would say- 😅
And of course! He brings some kind of happy vibe while requesting you for some kind of braid if he ever has a hairstyle in mind,,,
Imagining his big smile by his s/o’s loving actions makes me feel 🥺💕❤️
He greatly appreciates the way you care for his hair’s condition and well-being-
He tends to feel a little indebted for his lovely dear, so he would comb your hair as gentle and careful as possible in return!
At first, if you have long hair, he would struggle braiding your hair but eventually gets the hang of how to braid your hair-
He thought that it would be easier to braid yours since he already knows a tip or two, but he now learned that every person has their own kind of hair(thick, thin, straight, curvy, wavy, dry, slippery, smooth, silky, etc-).
No need to be shy if you want to suggest him an idea for your hair! He’s very open-minded for anything in braiding,,,!
You also learned many things in how to treat Antonio’s hair while trying to braid it.
Some tips of his hair can move as if they were Antonio’s hands, so you have no option but leave them out.
Antonio would suggest that he would try his best to use his limp hands to play his violin-
but you already know that he no longer can play the same way as he did before, and he tends to end up dropping his violin and needs your help to pick it up for him,,, (;u;
*Cues Antonio’s stunned animation of him hitting the floor frustratedly*
(Poor floor-)
I feel like you should leave his ahoge alone because ahoge cute- (just a personal suggestion ;3)

Arts & Culture Infographic
03.10.18
Last week we were given the task of creating an infographic about one of four subjects. They were: Arts and Culture, Food, Unusual (I think) and Historical. Were each assigned a number corresponding to one of the said topics, and I got Arts and Culture. I can’t say that I was ecstatic about this topic, but as I went on, I gradually became more accepting of it, until, by the end, I was rather pleased with the final result.
Sketchbook Work
Higher quality version that you can zoom in on.
I started doing some research on art and culture of UK only to find hardly anything to make an entire infographic on, so I sought the assistance of my tutor, who reassured me that it was quite the broad subject, and it wasn’t strictly limited to culture and arts, but anything to do with these topics. I began researching artists of Britain, to which I came across two of which I’d heard of before and two that I was very interested in upon researching them. These were Banksy and Bridget Riley, whom I’d heard of before, and then Thomas Phillips and JMW Turner, who I had not.
Anyway, I’ll start with the right page. I started drawing little illustrations to do with each artist’s respective area of expertise. For Thomas Phillips, I drew a portrait of a man in a frame, which I thought was a solid idea. As for Banksy, I drew a brick wall with his name in a messy font. I also drew a man in some shady-looking clothes and glasses and a moustache, this was in reference to the incognito icon which you can see on Google Chrome. I decided on this since Banksy is to this day a man surrounded in mystery and anonymity, which I find really interesting. I also drew a spray can. Bridget Riley’s illustrations are across the middle of the page, and they consist of an eye with a swirly pattern inside, as well as a box with a face on each side... or is it a silhouette of a grail in the middle? Who knows. It uses the art of negative space. Finally, for JMW Turner’s (who I will be henceforth referring to as JMW) section, there’s a little sketch of a landscape of mountains and some trees, very serene, as well as a palette and a bucket of paint.
For the first page, it just goes into a little detail on what I was thinking. For starters, the font would most likely be sans-serif, since I’m a fan of those smooth and blocky fonts (most of the time) as opposed to serif fonts. I thought the colours I’d be using would be more on the desaturated side of the colour spectrum, and I was more or less right in the end. I do think that one shade of a neon colour like red can go really well with black though, an excellent example would be the artwork for Persona 5, which does this really well. Anyway, I briefly mentioned that I would like to incorporate the Union Jack somewhere in the infographic, whether that be the actual design of the flag, or just the colour scheme, regardless, I’d planned on using red, blue and white from the start anyways. Finally, I mentioned that I wanted to have a balanced layout, which gave each artist equal spotlight. I thought it may look like a list infographic, and would have elements of a hierarchical infographic, like the information pertaining to each artist. That was it for the sketchbook work.
Tumblr media
It was time to start on the graphic. I headed on over to Adobe Illustrator to start making things which I thought would look nice. I started by making a black header at the top, which I wrote the subject in red, blue and white, and gave it a nice glow effect using each respective colour. I made that palette I was talking about earlier, but added it to the header instead. It’s just some ellipses and a blob made using the pen tool which I coloured red, blue, green and yellow, to make purple? I just wanted to include purple, since it’s my favorite. I made some brushes using the pen tool as the stick, and then a warped circle as the head. Then I added a red strip across the bottom of the header to make it pop.
Tumblr media
Next I made the black header look as though it is shining, by adding a grey section to the left. I made these grey boxes in the composition where the artists and their info would go, and also some red and blue lines on the header, no particular reason, just thought it would look quite stylish. I gave them all a glow. As I mentioned, I wanted to have a hierarchical system that showcased all the artists, so I made sure they were all of equal size and distance away from each other.
Tumblr media
Next, I made some small crosses and spread them out across the header, another stylistic choice on my part. I made those boxes black and continued the shine from the header onto the top left box. I also made the background blue, just to continue with the Union Jack colours. I did this by creating a box behind the black boxes and colouring it blue. The composition was starting to look quite modern in appearance, which is kind of a juxtaposition, since I’m including artists of a long time ago, such as Thomas and JMW.
Tumblr media
Next I moved onto the graphics of each section. I started with Thomas Phillips, and carried out that portrait idea I had. This was relatively easy and probably the most fun part of this task for me. I just used basic shape tools as well as the pen tool, and added a frame around the portrait, with a gradient to try and make it look shiny. I also made a background of mountains behind the portrait (could this be foreshadowing of JMW’s section?) Next I moved onto Banksy, who was probably my least favorite part to make, the former part at least. I made that wall I was talking about, but it just doesn’t look good, the gutters which divide the bricks just don’t look good with the wall colours, but I tried a lot of other colours too, to no avail. Even the ‘Banksy’ text doesn’t do it any favors in my opinion. However, the incognito/anonymous icon that I made does look good and goes well with the composition in my opinion. I just used the shapes and pen tool once again to make it, and chose greys for the colour scheme. Oh also, I changed the title of ‘Arts and Culture’ to ‘Artists of Britain’ at the suggestion of my tutor.
Tumblr media
Next I created JMW’s graphics, which consisted of that mountain scene I mentioned, which was easy, I just made some triangles and made them slightly rounded and added some clouds made using the ellipse tool and also duplicated the palette I made for the header, and changed the colours on it to match with the mountains. Finally, for the last section, Bridget Riley’s, I went over to Photoshop because I already had an Idea that I wanted to try and pull off, which was to make a square with some wavy lines inside, to look like an illusion kind of thing, and then I went back to Illustrator to make the eye with the swirl for the iris. Then I made the thing with the grail or human faces illusion, which I did simply using the pen tool and the square tool for the box.
Tumblr media
Lastly, I needed to add the text. I had already done some slight research, which was just their birthdays as well as their area of specialty. I had a lot of space for information on Thomas Phillips, so I did some extra research and added it, same with JMW. On the other hand, Bridget and Banksy didn’t have a lot of space to spare, so I simply kept it at their birthdays and art specialties. I think I like that more than Thomas and JMW’s sections, since it just looks more clean and shorter. I made sure to keep with the Union Jack colours once again with the text - I made all the text kind of random in amounts, for example, each section has some red text whereas only one (JMW’s) has blue text. It was just a stylistic choice again, and also I like the red a lot so I wanted to put it in more places. That was it for the infographic.
Tumblr media
Final Piece
Higher quality version that you can zoom into.
Here’s the final version that I made, I’m actually quite pleased with the result and I think the colour scheme looks really good, the black goes really well with the blue, red and white, as well as the outer glows that I added to, well, just about everything. The graphics are good in my opinion, except for the Banksy wall, I just don’t like it at all really, but that’s alright I guess, maybe someone does.
Tumblr media
Overall, I enjoyed this mini-project, even though at first I thought it would be difficult to get done in a week, and at the start I was a little hopeless since I was completely stumped with what to do with my subject.
