something something the lessons they’ve learned up until now thanks to everything they’ve experienced, the special connection with nature (with the tapus, with alola itself), and the bond they (people and pokemon) all share bc they’re always working together and helping one another shaped satoshi in a way no other *region* did

#was also reminded of the solaceon ruins inscription.........i'm fine #he's grown little by little #with every pokemon friend and rival he's met #with every single thing he's experienced #but there's something about alola. about the way people and pokemon work together #while appreciating nature and everything that's around them #this is the first time he feels a connection to the *region* itself #ari rewatches sm. again #oh to live in the pokemon world and experience all sorts of adventures with your partner pokemon #also olivia is such a great character i love her so so much #more ramblings bc i never shut up about alola #i find it very interesting that sm was the series that changed so many things #with such a huge cast of both people and pokemon #which. yeah in past series some of the pokemon have frequently been out of their pokeballs. but no as much as they did in alola #bc this allowed satoshi's entire team to grow with him. to experience more things with him #at his core satoshi has always been the same. he's kind and loves pokemon with all his heart #but idk there's just. something very special about alola #it's the way he had to stay in one place instead of traveling around a region collecting badges #the way he gets to experience what his friend's (also kukui's) daily lives are like #akjfnas i'm rambling so much idk what point i'm even trying to make anymore #something something alola
