i could've reblogged this onto the sideblog that's, y'know, relevant to me, but also somehow it feels safer to be talking about this on here? it's the small fandom thing. don't really feel like being perceived by people who know who i am today.

I think the moral of Homestuck is that we should give postal workers swords.

Hiiii Raider how are you :3
🌻 for the ask game!
hello there woosh! :D
🌻 Who are you open with about your fiction-based identity?
uuuUUUUM! 77-2, mostly solar and fluffy and xeno. usually i hang out with xeno, to be honest, we're roommates on the server and i literally roleplay myself ;p
(which is the same server i hunted honey magsinthe for sport on ;D)
plus solar and fluffy know i'm one of the secret unlockable bell noises ghosts, so! and solar+xeno+warden are part of the 9 Hour Tube Gang which was literally my first time talking out loud to anyone.
outside of that.. i mean, we've told jorb and nyx? and i sometimes talk in the 'nerds discord. not much though, especially now that there's more people in it.

😔🤝 Whenever people who know about my source (outside of just my being a fictive and my headmate possessing a kintype of a related character) interact with me I start thinking morbid. People think nasty things about my source character and it's too much to bear even the thought of. One of my friends' friends has been into our source recently, and I become anxious whenever it's brought up; it's safe to say I prefer people don't know about my source before meeting me.
For these reasons, I feel safe talking about my being a fictive here but not on our own blog. You're valid.
i'm sorry to hear that, yeah. it's.. it's rough! a lot of us are from sources that we get worried about for one reason or another (pat gets nervous because kir source is a not-great portrayal of DID, part of why crown isn't near front in years is because the fandom got really weird about their source character, especially fictives of him, cross got harassed back when they were open about their identity, stuff like that) so it's.. it sucks.
the good thing for us is that, uh, if we know somebody before they find out about Any Of That, they're usually more understanding..? because they know the rest of us, and if we're hiding our source before revealing it then they know us without that info, so they're accepting once they do know. so hopefully stuff goes well with you and your friends' friend.

✅💞? for the fictive asks!
✅ What does the fandom usually get right?
A LOT OF THINGS! :D i'm not very hard to get wrong (yet). i'm a lovable pest, i'm capable of being spooky-scary, iiiiiiiii care about my friends but can be.. worrying.. with how i go about it.. that sorta thing. ;D
also pliking is real. just sayin'. <- is pliking (plural viking)
💞 What's the biggest similarity between you and your canon self?
hmmmm. hmmMMMMMMmmmm
personality? personality. i'm not super different from canon me (except for when i am), but personality is where it really shines through. it's what leo notices the most, anyway. for better or for worse 'cause, well, pointing at the "what does the fandom get right" thing.

👍👎gimme that good ol' uppy-downy, bossman
aw yea let's go
👍 What's your favorite thing about your source?
THE PRESENTATION. the story, the editing, the - look, the way everything's laid out is very cool. very approachable. the edited videos are great for when we're not able to catch streams, the storytelling is fantastic, and-- honestly, the small fandom thing? it's cozy in here. plus it's fun to directly chat to a couple of the creators (or uh, leo does. i don't. for reasons of:)
👎 What's your least favorite thing about your source?
small fandom. not even in the "aaaaahhh oohhh noooooo if i want content i have to MAKE it" way (okay maybe a LITTLE bit that), but in the "we are mutuals with one creator and regularly talk to the one that plays the character i'm a fictive of" and, y'know, everybody knows each other. which means everybody knows leo. and i'm not really sure what to do with myself! especially now that leo's got, like, uh, a hype squad. which we both think is really funny but also, feels like there's a spotlight on us, yeah? we gotta be careful about what we say and do in case people who are confirmed to Not Get It, uh, Suspect Something.
yeesh.

🗺️?
🗺️ What do you miss about your world?
uugghhhh. buries head in hands. a lot
i miss my home. i mean, i was sorta able to rebuild it on a server, but.. it's still not quite right, y'know? aaaand i miss walking around, seeing my friends- don't miss not being able to go out in the sun, that's nice.
i miss how different everything was. there was always something new and exciting and i could just.. get up and go. cause problems, solve problems, do whatever project i felt like.. i can't really do that here. like, not to get too angsty or anything, but i'm pretty limited in this system. sucks.
also i miss having a sword

For the fictive asks, ❌ and❓.
❌ What does the fandom usually get wrong?
OOOGHGHHHHH good question. goooooood question. see, the thing is, the fandom i'm a fictive from is very small, so things are kinda.. on-brand? so far? i guess? that's not the right wording, but uh. yeah.
unless i get nitpicky in whiiiiich caaaaaase it's that i get annoyed when anyone not on the tumblr side of the fandom picks up on my source character being potentially plural-coded and is Weird:tm: about it. gross. don't do that
(specifying "not on tumblr" because the tumblr part of the fandom is 80% systems lol)
❓ Do you prefer when people are familiar or unfamiliar with your source when they meet you?
ANOTHER GOOD QUESTION,, uuuuunfamiliar? because, again, small fandom, so if somebody recognizes me without knowing us super well or, like, being on-board with how our brain does things, it's.. a little scary. but also if people know who i am already then i get to speedrun past all the awkward stuff of explaining who i am.

sometimes I think about that SpongeBob episode where Patrick fell off a cliff and hit his head and then SpongeBob found him another head and then he became really smart and him and SpongeBob grew apart because they couldn't relate to each other anymore. So Patrick sacrificed his intelligence so that he could be friends with SpongeBob again. And this just reminds me of how different I am with others my own age and I feel I've been through so much and matured quickly and I can't even enjoy the things I used to anymore and I wish I could just go back to when I was carefree and happy.
