there’s a conversation worth having here that delves deeper into the blatant disregard we’re seeing for creativity in all spaces now. like so many people no longer find merit in being passionate or original or see the value in giving something real of themselves into their art anymore. it’s all AI and stolen writing and lukewarm rip offs of someone else’s effort. industry, fandom, academia, it’s so pervasive

but what i think these people will always fail to see is that work come from the heart is always obvious in its intention. you can’t replicate caring about something passionately when you’re hunting for clout or popularity—this goes for your online space or your personal life’s work.

idk if this is my deep deep disillusionment with this space i’ve been battling lately, my lack of motivation to be creative or what but i’m kind of just like fine…if you want to plagiarize me, copy me, emulate me whatever it is that one would feel excuses their theft then like go for it. your lack of passion in the project will always be obvious, not only in the work but in the way you move around it, the way you talk and engage with your own work is indicative of the love you have for it and you can’t fake or steal sincerity of that nature

no i’ve thought about this in depth!!! for sure one word dry responses and sometimes misspelled bc his fingers are too big for the little keyboard so he gets all frustrated and just ends up calling you but ALSO…social media! he would never everrrrrrr have any he wouldn’t even know what a dating app is but as soon as he hears that you have an instagram account where you post pictures of yourself you bet your butt he’s trying to figure out what “the instagram” is and asking the younger guys at work how it all works and how he can make an account so he can look at your pretty pictures :-)
