Frankie and Jay (preggers) thoughts about (femme) clothing below the cut.
Jay doesn't borrow Frankie's clothes because she thinks it's childish. She has her own clothes, thank you very muc.h Of course, she can throw his shirt on if it's within reach and she needs to put something on. Sometimes she end up wearing his t-shirts (there are a lot of army t-shirts in their household and she wears the unisex kind and doesn't like figure-hugging clothes) but overall, she doesn't borrow his flannel or anything.
But when she's pregnant, and her shirts don't fit that well anymore, she starts to use his shirts in particular. She hates clothes shopping and doesn't care about fashion, and she's in training to be a physical therapist: she practically lives in sweatpants and t-shirts anyway, she's not going to get a whole new wardrobe just because of a bump she's going to have for only a few months.
So, Jay in Frankie's Hawaiian shirt abominations becomes a thing. She does get one pair of maternity jeans, so when they go out etc she usually wears those, and one of Frankie's shirts over a top, and Frankie wears a shirt to match. The Millers make so much fun of them, and it annoys Jay so much that she ends up shopping anyway. So she and Frankie go to H&M or some other cheap fast fashion chain one Saturday and she's just appalled at how tight everything is. Like, everything is designed to really show off her growing tits and belly. And the rest are dresses. Jay hasn't worn a dress since she was five and isn't going to start now. Frankie, of course, is over the moon, and tries to get her excited as well. (He doesn't even try with the dresses, he knows exactly what she thinks about those.)
Jay ends up buying a blouse and a couple of tops (Frankie's very happy about the low cut of the necklines), and some sportswear.
"Was that so bad?" Frankie teases her when they're having milkshakes in the food court of the mall. Jay mock glares at him.
"Tread lightly, son."
Frankie just makes kissy lips at her across the table.
But from that day on there is a shift in how Jay dresses. She's never going to be super feminine, but twice or maybe three times a year a new garment that isn't an oversized t-shirt or baggy sweatpants from the men's section find its way into her wardrobe.
Frankie approves and lets her know he likes it. He loves her no matter what she wears but he's such a guy. He can't help it that he appreciates the fuck out of ass-hugging jeans, or a form-fitting shirt with the two-three top buttons undone to show the soft swell of a breast. You do remember his reaction to the bra, right? Yeah, that shit.
He dreams of seeing her in a sundress one day but knows that's asking for too much. It's okay, though. He wouldn't want her to be anything but herself.

In Conversation with [ K S R ] – The soul born in M16
It’s a cultural fact that Manchester has a rich musical history which influenced many, like myself, to move up north and experience the roots of this vast talent pool.
The music in Manchester is so powerful. It is no wonder why they are proud people and feel each day they have the potential to take over the world. Aiming to continue Manchester’s vibrant legacy is [ K S R ] a 19-year old artist hailing from Moss Side, Manchester.
 Moss Side
Moss Side is an area which has been highlighted as one of the most deprived areas in Britain, as well as having some of the highest crime rates. However, within the inner-city area, lies a wealth of community spirit and musical talent.
Since the 1960s, music has long been associated with the area. Legendary venues such as the Reno were playing the hottest soul music which no other clubs in Manchester were playing at that time.
Caribbean Carnival, located in the area's Alexandra Park, showcases some beautiful sounds with heritage from black music each summer. Moss Side’s native A-Guy, Gerald produced “Voodoo Ray”, a dance classic which got the whole of Manchester grooving in the late 80's and led to the nickname “Madchester”. Forward to 2017, [ K S R ] is another Moss Side jewel ready to inspire and entertain people in 2018.
 Introducing a new talent
Last summer, I stumbled across his infectiously romantic jam "New Love" produced by Zac Schram and instantly felt compelled by the song and wanted to know more about the man behind the music. I then caught up with [ K S R ] to ask a few more questions…
Jason: Okay, so [ K S R ] what does it stand for? [ K S R ]: [ K S R ] basically my full name but in weird order! My full name is Roosevelt Kazaula Sigsbert but I wanted to start my artist name with my middle name because it just looks wavey aha.
Jason: What made you decide that music was something you wanted to give a go? [ K S R ]: From a young age I was always surround by music; my mother was a singer herself and my dad just bought in a lot of music such as Soul, R&B etc. I do remember always having a massive gathering with family and I’d always be dancing around the house looking for attention (now I think back I feel like a beg). But I only just got into writing music. Even though I’ve been singing for like 9 years now I never picked up a pen or pad until like last year which is quite strange but I’m a work in progress with my craft and still waiting to learn more about myself.
Jason: “New Love” is my favourite and can you tell us about the concept and inspiration of the song? [ K S R ]: 3. New love came from a personal situation of mine. Where I was just in a position to tell this girl how muc.h I love her. I understand as men/boys we find it very hard to open up and talk about our emotions and I wanna change that, I want people to feel confident in doing so. I’m not saying that I’m able to openly discuss everything but slowly and surely I will be able to and music helps me express myself.
Jason: Tell us about your musical and everyday life influences [ K S R ]: My musical influences... to be honest I could go on for days talking about them but we have to start off with the legendary D’Angelo, he’s taught me a lot about writing in a whole. Being able to cross boundaries when writing and not feeling ashamed about what I’m expressing. And I could definitely throw in the likes of Frank Ocean, Xavier Omar, Brent Faiyaz etc. When it comes to writing again I started off talking about my experiences that I went through and it slowly started branch out a little and I started focusing on everyday things people went through. Currently I am focusing more on my community and how things have affected me and the people that have lived there in the past and present.
Jason: Are there any upcoming projects? What can we expect? [ K S R ]: Future projects... I mean for now I want to keep releasing more visuals, I want to show people that I can be dynamic and also do the visual side of my music not just the auditory side but maybe there could be an album/EP I don’t know yet but we’ll see.
Jason: And a question I’m intrigued to know. Are you United or City?   [ K S R ]: Come on bro I’m a red of course!!
You can catch [ K S R ] play his headline show at Birthdays, Dalston on the 23rd of December 2017. Ticket link
