☆     Steve’s just a tad bit too late when it comes to averting his gaze. In his defence, though, he did not expect Loki to just get up and change into something ( a nightgown of all things! ) right there in front of him. He’s quick to sit on the couch, hands folded together in his lap, while he keeps his gaze down. Or tries to, at least.
By the time he looks up again, Loki’s letting her hair down and Steve can’t help but give her a quick once-over. Of course he’s not as stealthy as he’d like. Honestly, there’s no such thing as stealth what with the blush on his cheeks and neck, and the baffled expression on his face. He doesn’t stand a chance.
“God, I hope not. I’m allergic to cats,” is the first thing he blurts out, followed by a snort that’s more self-deprecating than amused. “I was just–” Staring. That’s what he’s been doing. And Steve knows that Loki knows, but still.. “I was just wondering if the nightgown will be warm enough. I could get you a blanket if you’d like?”

She blinks in confusion for just a second, before laughing. Oh she knows it’s something he just blurted out out of awkwardness, but honestly she finds it amusing. Loki appreciates this sort of attitude, the sassiness of it.
Loki’s well aware that Steve was staring, of course, but she’s not going to mention it. She doesn’t mind the staring, in fact, she’s flattered by it, and his concern with her wellbeing is really just all kinds of sweet.  A soft smile tugs at her lips when Steve asks if he should get her a blanket. “I’m quite alright for now, thank you--” Until she changes her mind. “Unless you wanna grab one and cuddle up with me?” It was perfect, alright? Being a frostgiant she doesn’t really get cold, at least not easily, but a good excuse for cuddling was never something she would turn down. Besides... it’s not like Steve knew that about her. Hell, even she didn’t know yet. She just knew cold never bothered her.
She sits down on the couch once more, legs crossed because she’s not an animal. It’d be better to at least leave some things up to his imagination. For now.
