idk if you see some very big artists advocating for copyright law id suggest taking a moment to look into why they might be doing that. yeah some of them are just clueless and well intentioned and just jumped on the bandwagon, but many have other deals going on in the back

also saying youre fully anti ai makes you look like an idiot btw just because companies are being annoying and stupid about cutting costs via shit like chatgpt when ai is literally so vital in more serious fields like detecting cancer cells, processing data that would take people several years etc

id really love for the whole debate to go back to talking about the MASSIVE waste of resources and abuse of power the entire cheap ai trend has brought on

thinking about alien life i genuinely want to believe but not necessarily in the sense that theres sapient civilizations out there (even less in a way we might understand) but just the idea that some form of life exists on some other rock floating in space whatever it may look like

like even if its intelligent it doesnt have to know math and build cities to be alive, there could be things living like an octopus who cares i dont need to know. just the thought that this planet isnt the only freak accident to ever come to be, that even when all of this is long gone theres a chance it could happen again somewhere else, it feels reassuring in a way
