Necronomidol is pretty cool! Definitely like the heavier n more experimental tracks a lot more than the more straightahead j-rock stuff, but there were several tracks I rly loved.

Poison Girl Friend is fuckin awesome, omg, I loved every second of it and I've definitely been looking for more trip hop stuff like this. If u got any more I'm all ears.

I just realized that I still haven't talked about Necronomidol here on my blog. Like, literally never mentioned them, and that's a shame because they're pretty good! I began listening to their stuff in 2019 and their concept is just so cool! Their formation is currently made up of only one member, Himari Tsukishiro (the lineup changed again and they're in hiatus ಥ⁠_⁠ಥ) and are managed by Ricky Wilson, an american expat living in Tokyo. At the beginning, their visuals were mostly inspired by the traditional japanese "shrine maiden" look, but their image later incorporated elements of the Cthulhu mythos as well as other works of modern japanese and western horror. Their discography is pretty varied, as they fuse j-pop with genres ranging from industrial music to black metal.

My favourite songs:

Phantasmagoria Cosmos from the album vämjelseriter (2021) (there's also a previous version in the EP "scions of the blasted heath", which is good, but I found myself preferring the newer one the more I listened to it)

Skulls in the stars from the album Voidhymn (2018) (There is an MV for this song! However, it is for a previous, less polished version which can be found in the album "Nemesis", published in 2016)
