Alright I’ve stopped screaming. For now.
Thoughts on Axe and Grind. And sorry, there’s a lot of them.
Firstly; the title. Great. Axe, Lalo. Grind, Hamlin. But also Kim and Jimmy and their axe to grind.
Teaser; BABY KIMMY. First off, the bobbing white trainer, we know it’s her immediately. The audience is rewarded with a burst of pride at knowing someone so impenetrable for so so long. We have so little of Kim, yet so much and this moment confirms that actually we do know her. And really, she has been there all along.
So her alcoholic shithead mum runs scams with her. To steal those earrings, that necklace. The simple, plain jewellery Kim wears every day, that until now we just thought was modest, restrained and refined Kim Wexler but it’s not, she carries that memory of her mother and the worst of her always. And that moment when Kim holds her hand, and that look on her mothers face — oh that really cut me down.
On to Hamlin; he makes this lovely coffee, perfect and precise, for Cheryl. It’s his literal peace offering (fucking Namaste) and she ruins it by pouring it in a travel mug. It’s no joke that she looks the spitting image of Audrey Hepburn right? That must be for a reason that she is basically Holly Golightly. If we find she has a brother called Fred I’ll flip. Also all those damn chairs, it just speaks to the barren emotional landscape of that house.
When Howard sees Jimmy take out the 20k, that was on purpose — Kim and Jimmy know Howard is tailing them. We see later they fake giving it to the fake Sandpiper judge. To rank the case entirely?
The vet scene; Kim and Jimmy basically in matching shirts. “Once I sell my little black book…” they’ll buy his book, we know that part of the puzzle now, they become the guy who knows a guy. The drugs; Hamlin doesn’t drink coffee. It’s very clear he drinks tea, when he makes that perfect cappuccino for Cheryl. This is gonna fuck him up man. Also Kim wearing those little white trainers — so good, great call back to the open.
Kim in court, lady justice holding the Albuquerque Isotopes air freshener. It’s just so perfect and it’s telling us something but I don’t know what just yet. But Kim demonstrating her talents in front of Cliff, securing that funding. She’s just brilliant. And she plays off the Hamlin question perfectly (also “my husband” she finally said it).
Saul’s office; I love Francesca I really do. Her decoration is clearly all wrong for everything Saul is trying to do, but it’s so cute. And Kim wants to redesign the whole thing. Their exchange about the marriage, ugh I dunno how to feel about that given the future it holds. Sad, I guess. Does Francesca stay with Saul out of pity? What happens?
I love that Jimmy stops the whole production to check on Kim, they’re even more in love than ever, and we get even more affection from them both than ever.
Can we talk about Omaha Beach?
First off, Omaha Beach, the landing for D-Day. Omaha Beach was a human tragedy of epic proportions. Despite the end success of the mission, linking Good, Omaha and Utah beaches in Normandy, thousands lost their lives at Omaha and the battle was horrific, bloody and violent.
Second; fucking Omaha. “What’s in Omaha?” Gene. Really really wondering if he is there on purpose, this seems to coincidental. Maybe it’s just some doomsday foreshadowing, maybe it’s deliberate. Does Kim become some underworld badass who decides where Jimmy/Saul/Gene ends up?
The smoochies — and then the chopping with the axe. Ah well fuck you too Gilligould and co.
Onwards; Lalo being a badass. The way Casper knows immediately that Lalo is not a friend. He fucks up that dude and for a moment when he’s down, we think oh gosh is this how it ends? We just lose Lalo like this? But no, he’s play acting. I mean he’s actually hurt and all that, but definitely cons the guy. Also why is he dressed as Jackie Daytona, human bartender? I love it.
The phone call? We see a tiny snippet of future jaded Francesca when she tells Jimmy to clean up the piss himself. Good on her.
Mike making sure Kaylee is safe, watching stars with him. Ah man that is such a contrast to everything else.
Speaking of contrasts, I love the contrast of how real Kim and Jimmy are at home. Washing dishes, in their socks, feeding the fish, just quiet and genuine. Such a great contrast from Howard and Cheryl. They fucking go to “Omaha Beach” to have a picnic. The audacity. I mean, it is where they met so I guess that’s romantic? Jimmy being so supportive, so genuinely excited for her at every turn. It’s just — that’s the dream of a couple right? They root for each other, they have each other’s back always.
And finally, why tell us the tequila topper is sharp. What are you warning us of? A boatload of badness and sadness for sure.
And Jimmy tries to abort, to roll back their scheme but Kim takes a swerve, onto another bad choice road, towards Jimmy and towards what is going to be some sort of showdown that has done nothing but leave me feeling queasy and uneasy and generally filled with dread for my wifeguy and girlboss.
Ok, I’m done. Congratulations if you survived my brain hellscape essay.

Funny how you had to make a throwaway tumblr acc just to talk mad shit on someone and say they have 10+ discord accs with no proof or evidence other than “uwu they dont talk in vc and are good at utah” — bffr dude, we all know who you are and its just sad atp lmfao.
Side note— if you’re comfortable enough to expose children to graphic depictions of pregnancy, live birth, non con, and bestiality/NSFW, then you’re in support of it, because you obviously think its acceptable to expose people as young as 14 years old to those things.
It was wrong, it was predatory behavior, and anyone who says otherwise is in support of what they did in its entirety, end of story.
Lets not forget that this isnt guris only instance of exposing children to this sort of content.

With the Stranger Things play bringing tons of Twitter Steddies together (the ones with with money 💔) it got me wanting to meet artists and writers I follow. So may I ask, have you ever meet other fans in person? If so how did it go? I’ve only ever done it once (with not so good results) plus I’m easily intimidaded meeting new people and I’m in bumfuck nowhere (rural Utah) so there aren’t any cons or oportunities to get together with fellow fans nearby, but I really want to organize a meet up with Stranger Things people I’ve followed online someday, if and when I can afford to travel (I’m more than certain noone is going to want to come here, honestly.) I love your Harringrove art, and I can’t wait for the zine, hope your shadow ban ends soon!
Hey! Sorry for taking so long to answer, I’m in a pretty busy time of year 😅 but thank you! I’m glad you like my art and I too hope it ends. I’m not sure how long it’s gonna take but I’m hoping I don’t end up having to make a new profile on the account of the site going down to a smaller staff 🫠
But I have indeed met people from online and made friends! Now, they have been within an hour or so of my own house so they are what I would call local. I ended up finding out both of them lived near me after I’d already made friends with them through fandom.
It’s a hit or miss honestly, I’ve met other people who I’ve met online through fandom but sometimes you mesh sometimes you don’t, but I understand about the rural thing. I’m within driving distance of some of the bigger cons, but with a lack of proper funding and time, there’s no way I could go and unfortunately WV doesn’t really have a hopping nerd culture lol
Also, I can say that you would be surprised by meetups, sometimes it takes one person to put up a notice for your area and suddenly all the little fandom freaks come out of the woodwork of your area. Try just putting callouts for your state for ST nerds or whatever sort of meetup you’re planning and see what happens.

Sean Young | Werewolf | Modern Fantasy-Supernatural
Tumblr media
HISTORY
Sean Young lived a relatively normal life born and raised in Oklahoma until he joined the military at 18. After enlisting for 8 years, he decided to pick up a career in construction and contracting. The job paid well but required him to travel and have long extensive trips away from home.
Unfortunately, he picked up a government contract in Utah. He was placed there to help build a few facilities in the area. Though it turns out the rumors about the mysterious happenings turned out to be true. Sean saw a variety of things, unidentified flying objects, spirits, and strange cryptids. The stories and people up and quitting made the job long and difficult to finish.
However, he was determined to finish the job, mostly to prove a point to others and himself. His determination was cut short when one night he went out to pick up some beer a few miles away. Something odd crossed the road. He stopped against his better judgment before being pounced and attacked by an animal of some sort.
Another car passing by scared the creature off as he bloodily made his way back to his car. He tried to stop the passing car first but the car saw him and sped up past him instead. He made it to his car and drove off before feeling too tired and pulling to the side of the road. He was sure he was going to bleed out or die.
However, when the morning came, he noticed he was still alive, injured but living. He eventually made it to a hospital where he told his story. However, after realizing how fast he was recovering, his co-workers and employers became weary of him.
Becoming paranoid he decided to quit and run. He made it to Mexico but was surprised that the following night a full moon came. The first few times he could not remember his transformation other than it was painful. Eventually, he came to realize what he was. He decided to stay in Mexico for a few years. Before coming back to the US where he prefers living in rural areas.

Sean comes off as an average, hardworking kind of guy. However, once you talk to him, you can tell there is more to him than meets the eye. He’s experienced and has seen the world and other things.

A Blast Of A Loser Take Nothing
jack of spades - vivaldi of the coin laundry - wearing a hipster's dictionary - we see him brownnosing around the blackbelts & horny racing car drivers - dashing to & fro like a frightened uncle remus . on days that he gets no mail, he rises early, sticks paper up the pay phones & cons the bubble gum machines... 'the world owes me a living.’ he says to his half-hawaiian cousin, the half-wit, joe the head who is also planning to marry a folksinger next month ‘round & round, old joe clark' is being recited from the steps of the water & light building as jack ambles by with a case full of plastic bubbles - things look well for him: he can imitate cary grant pretty good. he knows all the facts why mabel from utah walked out on horace, the lightingman from Theatre Altitude, he has even stumbled onto a few hairy secrets of mrs. Cunk, who sells fake blisters at the world's fair - plus being able to play a few foreign legion songs on the yoyo & always managing to look like a grapefruit in case of emergency . . . he brags about his collection of bruises & corks & the fact that he pays no attention to the business world. he would rather show his tear of the bomb & say what have you done for freedom than to praise an escaped mental patient who pisses on the floor of junior's delicatessen - jack of spades, with his axe, the record player, with his companion, the menu. & his destination, a piece of kleenex - never touches the cracks on the sidewalk - 'jack' says his other cousin, Bodeguard, half danish & half surfer, how come you always act like Crazy , jackie gleason’s friend? I mean wow! ain’t there enough sadness in the world? jack walks by in a flash he wears his ear plugs - from the steps of the water & light building, the band, after knocking all the juice out of their horns, begin to play on my papa ...
'o.k. so i bumped into you. i don't even care. i got me a little woman at home. i know a good radiator down the block, man, i aint never gonna starve. would you like to buy a pail?’ jack, amazed, rearranges his collar & heads off to the bell telephone hour. which is located beyond the next cop car ... he passes a hot dog stand, a matiraus hits him in the face... the band is playing malagena sale rosa - hears the band, screams, starts doing the jerk.

Buying a Home in Salt Lake City? 5 Tips for Finding the Perfect Option
Tumblr media
Are you looking for homes for sale near Salt Lake city? Then you're set to discover one of the best cities in America to live in. As Utah's capital, Salt Lake City offers affordable housing, low crime rates, excellent job opportunities, and plenty of outdoor recreational activities. Before you start the home search process, it's essential to take some time to plan and strategize. Here are five tips to help you find the perfect home in Salt Lake City.
Work With a Top-Notch Real Estate Agent:
Finding a reputable real estate agent should be your top priority. Realtors with excellent market knowledge about Salt Lake City can identify neighborhoods that meet your needs and budget. A good realtor will have excellent negotiation skills when making an offer, finding the best mortgage rates, and helping you navigate the legal process of closing a home. So, be sure to research and hire an experienced and licensed real estate agent to work with you through the buying process.
Determine Your Priorities:
What do you want in homes for sale near Salt lake city? List your must-haves, size, location, number of rooms, and amenities. Prioritizing your list of necessities can help you and your real estate agent narrow your search and find your dream home that ticks most, if not all, of your boxes.
Visit Your Top Picks, and Attend Open Houses:
Once you have identified your ideal neighborhoods, it is essential to visit each one and take the time to explore each home that meets your needs. Visiting each district can give you a feel for the community, its ambiance, safety, and how welcoming it is. Additionally, you'll be able to speak with the neighbors and learn about the school district and local amenities. You can also attend open houses in the area to see more options and make comparisons, focus on the pros and cons of each home, and get an idea of what the houses in these neighborhoods are worth.
Budget and Financing:
Purchasing homes for sale near salt lake city is a significant investment, so you must consider your budget and financing. Knowing your budget can help save you valuable time in your search for homes, increasing your chances of finding a house that suits your financial plan. Before looking at homes for sale in Salt Lake City, clearly understand how much you'd like to spend. Also, consider your financing options, including how much mortgage you'll need, your loan rates, and the down payment. Speak with a mortgage lender and get pre-approved, which shows sellers that you're a serious buyer.
Inspection and Appraisal:
Ensure you have each home you're considering inspected to know any hidden damage that might affect the value of a property. The appraisal will help you identify the market value of homes in the neighborhood and prevent you from overpaying for a property. Additionally, an inspection will reveal any repairs required, giving you an idea of the potential costs once you own the house.
Invest in Tech and Environmentally-Friendly Homes:
Today, tech and environmentally-friendly homes for sale near salt lake city are a great investment. Making sure your home is energy efficient and installing the latest smart technology can help you save on monthly bills while adding value to your property. Converting to solar energy, investing in energy-efficient HVAC systems, and upgrading insulation are some ways to make your home better for the environment.
Make an Offer:
Once you have found the perfect home, it's time to make an offer. Your real estate agent can help with this process by advising on how much to offer and negotiating for the best deal. After both parties agree, you'll be ready to finalize all legal paperwork and close the deal.
Close the Deal:
The last step in buying a home is closing the deal. Once all the paperwork has been signed, you'll be ready to move into your new home. Throughout this process, working with an experienced real estate agent and specialists like a mortgage lender who can guide you through every step and ensure the process goes smoothly is essential. Buying homes for sale near salt lake city doesn't have to be stressful if you take your time and plan carefully. You can find the perfect home for you and your family with patience and proper guidance.
Conclusion:
Purchasing homes for sale near Salt Lake City can be an exciting experience if you follow our five tips. From hiring a reputable real estate agent to determining your priorities and budget, it's crucial to research and plan before starting your search. Taking your time to find the right home for you will benefit you in years to come. So, take the time to find homes for sale near Salt Lake city that meet your lifestyle, budget, and other preferences.

Estate Planning Attorney West Valley City Utah
Estate Planning Attorney West Valley City Utah
There are steps you can take to minimize estate taxes and ensure that most of your worldly wealth is given to your loved ones. The biggest detriment to an effective estate plan is procrastination in creating a will. Establishing a will is a straightforward process. It lets you name the executor for your estate and which heirs will get what property. You can also stipulate a guardian for any minor children who survive you. It also lets you name contingent beneficiaries secondary heirs who are next in line if your primary heirs die before you do.
If you fail to establish a will, the state will follow established next-of-kin rules and distribute whatever assets survive estate taxation accordingly. If taxes are a consideration Estate planning attorneys in west valley city, Utah helps minimize their sting. One appropriate tool is a trust. Trusts give you greater control over your legacy, permitting you not only to leave a specified amount to an heir, but also to specify the fund’s purpose. And once you fund a trust, those assets are removed from your estate and will not be subject to probate or estate taxation.
Trusts are very useful: They can serve as an endowment for a grandchild or a favorite nonprofit organization, or to meet the special needs of a loved one. Estate planning attorneys are experienced in crafting estate plans for small to multi-million dollar estates, aiming to accomplish the client’s goals with the lowest possible estate, gift and income tax cost. Estates planning services include drafting wills and revocable trusts, setting up charitable entities and private foundations, and handling estate, trust and probate administration. The attorneys also offer a variety of sophisticated planning techniques, including family limited liability companies, irrevocable life insurance trusts, multi-generational dynasty trusts and asset protection trusts.
Estate planning attorneys in West Valley City work closely with clients to make sure their estates are handled in the best manner during their lifetime. A proper estate plan offers peace of mind now and less emotional distress for beneficiaries later. There are reasons to create a trust as part of your estate plan, but each situation requires an analysis to determine the pros and cons of having a trust rather than a simple will. Our attorneys can guide you in creating and understanding the beneficial reasons for having a trust such as avoiding or reducing federal estate taxes and protecting distributions to children of previous marriages.
Assets transferred into a trust are owned by the trust and can include real estate and bank or investment accounts. The trust document, names an administrator who will distribute the assets and income of the trust upon your or your spouse’s death. The estate planning attorneys are often asked by clients to serve as trustees or co-trustees to provide continued legal counsel in the stewardship of the estate as outline by the trust documents. Having an experienced and unbiased trust administrator is important for implementing the directions outlined in the trust.
We can assist with all aspects of trust planning and other asset protection options or just the services with which you need assistance. Trust administration services can include: • Establishing living trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts or family limited liability companies • Establishing charitable entities or private foundations • Preparing powers of attorney and medical powers of attorney • Conducting annual reviews regarding trust administration for compliance with applicable laws and regulations • Handling trust accounting including preparation and filing of all required state and federal tax forms • Advising on the selection of independent investment advisors, asset allocation and investment performance The needs of each situation vary depending on the size of the estate, the assets involved and whether all assets were properly placed into the trust. While having a trust makes administration and asset distribution easier and less emotionally stressful for the beneficiaries, continued legal counsel can be helpful to: • Advise the trustee on the legal responsibilities in administering a trust • Provide assistance regarding the distribution terms of the trust • Prepare and file of all required state and federal tax forms • Advise on tax issues related to non-U.S. citizen beneficiaries • Defend the trust against claims
Estate Planning Services
Estate planning on your own can be complicated and costly. And the list is endless… state taxes, bureaucracy, probate courts, unfair appraisals, health care concerns, eligibility of heirs, life insurance, IRAs, 401Ks, annuities, burial or cremation costs, and intent regarding death-postponing treatment to name a few. Not knowing your legal and financial rights often ends up costing you more in the end. Thoughts of estate planning often bring more questions than answers: Could an heir be too young to inherit? Should the inheritance be given at a certain age? Is the intended beneficiary in a shaky marriage with divorce as a possibility? Are there children from a previous marriage? Should inheritance be protected from potential creditors of the heir? Are there taxes that can be avoided? Are you able to avoid the probate court rules, delays, and costs?
Planning what happens to your estate when you’re gone can seem frustrating and intimidating without qualified help. You may feel that you’re too young to care about estate planning. Or, perhaps the reminder of death makes you uncomfortable. You might be tempted to put the whole thing off, assuming that it will just take care of itself. In all cases, estate planning ends up saving your family lots of time, heartache and money.
Every estate planning situation is different. In order to help you, the attorney needs to know you, your unique situation, and the nature of your relationships. Estate planning attorneys in West Valley city are available throughout the process for further discussion regarding questions, change of circumstances, and alternatives. At every step, their tax accountants in West Valley will also be there with you.
They help you… • Clearly define your estate planning goals. • Organize and create your estate planning team (experts on law, finance, and taxes) if you need one. • Evaluate and recommend estate planning options. • Prepare, organize and review your estate planning documents including current wills, trusts, health care and power of attorney. • Decrease the problems and expenses associated with probate. • Lessen taxes at time of death. • Arrange for management of your estate in the event you are incapacitated. • Draft a working plan for conserving and effectively managing your estate after death. • Transfer the assets of your estate to heirs the way you want. • Organize fair and adequate liquidation of estate to cover taxes and other expenses. • Amend your plan as needed.
You also get help with… • Living Wills and Trusts. • Lifetime Family Wealth Transfers. • Family partnerships and other business relationships. • Leaving money to charities. • Preparation for estate and trust tax problems. • The hassles and red tape associated with estate planning can be daunting, but you don’t need to do it alone Estate planning encompasses inventorying your assets, determining asset distribution after your death, considering which estate planning tools you prefer and implementing the plan. Your plan should also include contingencies after all, you might become incapacitated and require long-term care, or your intended heirs might die before you do. The estate planning tools and topics with which attorneys in West Valley City can assist you include: • Wills • Trusts • Revocable living trusts • Irrevocable trusts • Irrevocable life insurance trusts • Special-needs trusts (third-party and self-settled) • Residence trusts • Charitable remainder trusts • Powers of attorney • Durable powers of attorney • Asset protection trusts • Special medical powers of attorney • Limited powers of attorney • Living wills (healthcare directives) • Written statements disposing of tangible personal property • Real property transfers • Estate administration • Medicaid planning • Elder care planning • Guardianships and conservatorships • Elder abuse issues
They have the experience and knowledge that you need. When it comes to estate planning, choose a law firm that is focused on your needs. Estate planning attorneys in West Valley city advises individuals about the legal challenges facing them. They counsel and provide clients with solutions. Their unique process ensures that from the moment you engage their services, you are empowered with knowledge and provided a plan that is tailored to your situation. We realize that you have choices when choosing an attorney, and believe that you should choose a specialist.
Whether you have $100 or $1,000,000, you have an estate. Simply put, an estate is the interest you have in “lands or any other object of property.” By definition Estate Plans are your instructions for estate asset disbursement to heirs at your death. This includes drawing up a will, setting up trusts and gifting property. Estate planning can be motivated by taxes, avoiding probate, ensuring your wishes are carried out correctly, protecting assets, or incentivizing your heirs to do well and be productive. There should not be a “one size fits all” estate plan that works for everyone. Internet based plans often fail because they don’t have the key player’s interests in mind. The following documents are just some of the essential items that a proper estate plan should have: • Powers of Attorney: This is a legal document giving another person authority to act on the behalf of another. The powers can be very broad or very limited. A power of attorney terminates upon the death of the maker or when the principal becomes incapacitated. A Durable Power of Attorney however, stays valid even after incapacity. • Health Care Directive: an advance health care directive names an agent you want to act in your behalf should you become unable to communicate. It specifies how much medical care you do or don’t want and who will work with the doctors to determine your care. Your directive will cover your wishes on organ donation and medical research. Your agent may also be allowed access to your medical records. • Last Will & Testament: a will is a binding legal document that names an executor to administer your estate and also names to whom and in what manner your beneficiaries will receive property. You should know the following about wills: • A will has no legal authority until after death. It does nothing regarding a person’s affairs when they become incapacitated. • A will does not help an estate avoid probate, instead a will essentially guarantees probate if assets are held in the testators name only. A will must be submitted to the probate court to allow the appointment of the executor. • A will is a good place to name guardians of minor children. If you have or expect to have minor children, you need to have a nomination of guardians or you leave the placement of your children to the court’s full discretion subject to possible intense family litigation. • Trusts: Trusts come in many different flavors including the simple and complex. Essentially a trust is a legal entity with at least three parties: a trust maker, a trustee (manager) and a trust beneficiary. A trust can be revocable or subject to change. A revocable living trust is commonly created by an individual or couple whereby they are the trust maker, trustee and beneficiary all at once. If incapacity or death occurs, then successors step in to carry out the trust terms. A trust can also be irrevocable whereby the terms cannot be changed without the full consent of all beneficiaries. Also, special needs trusts and discretionary trusts can be established to protect trust principal from creditors and to preserve public benefits.
Estate planning used to be more focused on avoiding estate taxes. For the majority of people today, their estate will not have to worry about paying estate taxes unless their estate is over $5 million. However, the chances are significantly greater that they will need some type of long term care in an assisted living facility, nursing home or at home. There are several ways to fund long term care including out of pocket, with Long Term Care insurance, and/or government assistance like Medicaid benefits. If you are asset rich then you may be able to “self insure” your long term care risks by just paying out of pocket. Or, if you qualify and can afford the premiums, long term care insurance can be a great way to prepare for the high costs of long term care. A majority of people today in local nursing homes use Medicaid to pay for their stay. There are many misconceptions about qualifying for Medicaid.
Some think that in order to qualify you cannot have any assets and that Medicaid will take away your home after you die. While there is some truth to having limited assets, with proper planning some or most of your assets may be able to be preserved while allowing Medicaid to assist financially. Through the use of special irrevocable trust assets can receive protection from estate recovery after death and will not be countable during the Medicaid application process. However, Medicaid has a 5 year “look back” period on gifts and transfers to these types of trusts so it is imperative to plan well in advance.

Options in Protecting the Assets Aside from Trust
Other Than a Trust, What Are Options for Protecting the Assets of a Family Member Living in an Assisted Living Community Once Their Long-Term Care Insurance Runs Out?
When a family member is living in an assisted living community, and their long-term care insurance runs out, it can be challenging for both the individual and their loved ones. One of the main concerns is protecting the individual's assets and ensuring they have the financial resources they need to continue receiving care. In addition to using a trust, several other options may be suitable for protecting the assets of a family member in this situation.
Tumblr media
Medicaid Planning
If the individual's assets are below a certain threshold, they may be eligible for Medicaid, a government-funded health insurance program that covers long-term care costs. Medicaid has strict eligibility requirements, including limits on the number of assets an individual can own. However, with proper planning, it may be possible to preserve some of the individual's assets while still qualifying for Medicaid. This can be done through strategies such as transferring assets to a Medicaid trust or setting up a Medicaid annuity.
Veterans Benefits
If the individual is a veteran, they may be eligible for benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA offers a program called Aid and Attendance that provides financial assistance to veterans and their surviving spouses who need help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating. To be eligible, the individual must meet certain requirements, including a need for assistance with activities of daily living and a service-connected disability.
Reverse Mortgages
A reverse mortgage is a type of loan that allows a homeowner to borrow against the equity in their home. Seniors often use it as a way to generate income or access cash to pay for long-term care expenses. With a reverse mortgage, the borrower is not required to make monthly payments, and the loan is typically repaid when the borrower sells the home or passes away. Reverse mortgages can be a good option for preserving assets, but it is important to understand the terms and potential risks and any impact on the individual's estate.
Sale of Assets
If the individual has assets that are not protected through other means, such as a trust or Medicaid planning, it may be necessary to sell them to pay for long-term care expenses. This could include selling a home, vehicle, or other valuable possessions. It is important to carefully consider the financial and emotional implications of selling assets and the potential tax consequences.
Conclusion
There are several options for protecting the assets of a family member living in an assisted living community once their long-term care insurance runs out. These include Medicaid planning, veterans benefits, reverse mortgages, and the sale of assets. It is important to carefully consider the pros and cons of each option and seek the advice of an attorney to determine the best course of action.

What to Consider While Finding New Homes for Sale Near me in Salt Lake City and Herber City
Are you looking for a new home in the wonderful state of Utah? If so, there are many things to consider while narrowing down your search. This blog post will provide tips on what to consider while finding new homes for sale near me in Salt Lake City and Herber City. From climate and geography to schools and job opportunities, we will cover all the bases of what makes these two great cities ideal places to live.
Location, Location, Location
When you're looking for new homes for sale, it's important to consider the location. You want to find a place that's close to the things that are important to you, whether that's work, school, or family. Salt Lake City and Herber City are both great places to live. They offer a variety of housing options, from apartments and townhomes to single-family homes. There are also a number of different neighborhoods to choose from, so you can find the perfect fit for your lifestyle.
The Right Size
There are a few things to keep in mind while you search for new homes for sale near you. The first is size. How big of a house do you need? How many bedrooms and bathrooms? Do you need a home office or an extra room for guests? Once you have a good idea of the size of home you need, you can start your search.
The Right Style
There are a lot of things to consider when finding new homes for sale near you. The first thing you need to decide is what style of house you are looking for. Do you want a traditional home, a modern home, or something in between? There are pros and cons to each style, so it's important to figure out what is most important to you before beginning your search.
Traditional homes are typically more expensive than modern homes, but they also tend to appreciate value more over time. If you're looking for a home that will be a good investment, a traditional-style home is a good choice. Traditional homes also tend to have more character and charm than newer homes. If you're looking for a home with personality, a traditional-style home is a way to go.
Modern homes are often more affordable than traditional homes, but they may not appreciate value as much over time. If you're looking for a starter home or an investment property, a modern-style home is a good option. Modern homes also tend to be more energy-efficient than older homes, which can save you money on your utility bills. If you're looking for a home that is environmentally friendly, a modern-style home is the way to go. There should be a detailed discussion about the right style with your New Home Builder Park City.
The Right Budget
The next thing to consider is your down payment. This is the money you'll need to put down upfront before getting a mortgage. The larger your down payment, the lower your monthly mortgage payments will be. But don't stretch yourself too thin - remember, you'll still need money for things like moving costs and furnishing your new home.  The down payment amount should be decided with a Utah Custom Home Builder after consulting a banking organization.  Finally, think about what kind of monthly payments you're comfortable with. Keep in mind that your mortgage payment isn't the only expense you'll have - you'll also need to pay for things like property taxes, insurance, and utilities. Make sure your budget can comfortably handle all of these costs before making an offer on a new home.

The RV Life
I've been living in an RV for three years now. The whole journey has been crazy. Good crazy and bad crazy. My family and I have traveled to Arizona, Florida, New Mexico, Utah, and all over Texas. We spent a week in Disney World with our RV. We've slept by the side of the road, in a Walmart parking lot (more times than I can count), in Cracker Barrels parking lot, in the mountains and way more. The whole experience has been exciting and adventurous. But the cons is that I live with three other siblings and my parents. The space is small. The rooms, the closets, the bathroom, the kitchen, everything. First two years were a blast but honestly I don't think I'd want to spend another year like this. It's better if you live with ONE other person. Not five more. :)

The Age of Brain-Computer Interfaces Is on the Horizon
Thomas Oxley has a love-hate relationship with Black Mirror. On the one hand, he can appreciate the show’s “gripping” appeal. On the other hand, it means facing a deluge of accusations that he’s spearheading humanity’s dystopian future.
Oxley is the founder and CEO of Synchron, a company creating a brain-computer interface, or BCI. These devices work by eavesdropping on the signals emanating from your brain and converting them into commands that then enact a movement, like moving a robotic arm or a cursor on a screen. The implant essentially acts as an intermediary between mind and computer.
“[Black Mirror is] so negative, and so dystopian. It’s gone to the absolute worst-case scenario … so much good stuff would have happened to have gotten to that point,” he says, referring to episodes of the show that demonstrate BCI technology being used in ethically dubious ways, such as to record and replay memories. The “good stuff” is what Oxley is trying to do with his company. And on July 6, the first patient in the US was implanted with Synchron’s device at a hospital in New York. (The male patient, who has lost the ability to move and speak as a result of having amyotrophic lateral sclerosis—a progressive disease that affects nerve cells— has requested anonymity on the basis that he did not wish to promote the device before “experiencing its pros and cons.”)
The device promises patients the ability to control the mouse of their personal computer and use it to click. That simple movement could allow them to text their doctor, shop online, or send an email. The digital world has already seeped into every corner of modern human existence, providing all sorts of services—“but to use them, you need to use your fingers,” Oxley says. For the estimated 5.6 million people living with a form of paralysis in the United States, that access isn’t always available.
After the intense media coverage devoted to Elon Musk’s BCI company, Neuralink, you’d be forgiven for thinking the technology is a novel scientific innovation. In reality, it has been around for a couple of decades. But apart from Synchron’s, the only other BCI approved by the US Food and Drug Administration is the Utah array, a tiny device consisting of a series of electrodes that gets implanted in the brain. Implantation requires cutting open the scalp and drilling into the skull. “It’s a very invasive thing; it’s not something that you do recreationally—unless you’re really into weird things,” says Konrad Kording, a computational neuroscientist at the University of Pennsylvania.
The real novelty with Synchron’s device, he says, is that surgeons don’t have to cut open your brain, making it far less invasive, and therefore less risky for patients. The device, called a Stentrode, has a mesh-like design and is about the length of a AAA battery. It is implanted endovascularly, meaning it’s placed into a blood vessel in the brain, in the region known as the motor cortex, which controls movement. Insertion involves cutting into the jugular vein in the neck, snaking a catheter in, and feeding the device through it all the way up into the brain, where, when the catheter is removed, it opens up like a flower and nestles itself into the blood vessel’s wall. Most neurosurgeons are already up to speed on the basic approach required to put it in, which reduces a high-risk surgery to a procedure that could send the patient home the very same day. “And that is the big innovation,” Kording says.

So tough job when someone has to do it. One of the black guy hey man...
There's a lot of them coming in they don't want to hear this kind of stuff there's a son says to Ben Arnold. Yeah his character is getting free Hera and just a notify you and thank you very much for the morning good morning she says it's the warning I'm thinking before damn it. I'm going to make sure it doesn't happen you don't need to be flying anywhere. He said why you're funny somewhere I don't want to hear any more of this crap and said the men have to align when did twin powers activate and he said I'm not doing that stupid s*** form of a 747 not 7:37. Then Arnold hears it back Daddy says and he says it's a good idea they want to see your skin and you need one make sure we're talking to you it says once every 10 years is pretty good. I could use a radiation as opposed to what I used to say. But seriously they want to see him walk through and they want to see his bones look like see if anything is wrong density that kind of stuff and they want to see how it's health is and it's one way to get a scan without going to the stupid hospital they have to stand at tube just wondering where to fly to think of Utah He's thinking of flight of Tampa for Comic-Con. It's getting a little lazy but they have commuter airplanes to go there you spend like 3 hours the airport here and 3 hours in Tampa. But seriously it's a good idea good x-ray him and we need to document and we actually have to get that done so and he knows doesn't want to go to the hospital and we don't want him there there's reasons to get x-rayed other than the airport and we have one from the courthouse when he went it's kind of mild but it does show exactly what it is brain and they're after it they say and we're going to kill them all and that's another reason to do it and it's one reason why they don't want it and John remillard is going to get blamed for the skin and it's very clear. It looks fine there's no damage actually looks pristine and it's decent sized and yeah it feels this whole head it looks like his helmet it's just so weird and he's got nothing extra or nothing left out he has a sinus infection and it came up a little but not much and it's always there and just brain activity seems to be normal we can kind of tell the electrical current a minor amount of activity because of the stress other than that is fine the rest of his body looks normal. And he wants to get on Mac Daddy's we want to get on this and he says he wants to and it's motivation and they have the deep skin tube you stand in and that's if they suspect something they've been planted on you or you have metal in you and need to know about all that stuff and our son looks kind of really beefy so he's laughing cuz it's usually have the assholes do it and they have to reset the thing it's not easy to scan and it comes out funny so I think they can capture him using it

On Exmormonism
Or, the Journey thus far.
CW: Religious Trauma
I haven't been in the church since 2013ish lets say.
I used to be part of a transgender LDS support group on facebook, because I figured out my gender identity wasn't what it was assigned at birth as everyone said it was. I was resigned and accepting to die alone and unloved.
Endure to the end and all that right?
Then I met someone. Also AMAB, at the time she was presenting as male. And we hit it off in that quiet way an aromantic does. Soft and never serious until you realize how much you actually care for this person. And I felt panic. Loving them was my first action that would have been directly against The Church.
It was a moment after a con, I think after day one. A local affair in Utah. I was sitting across from a friend who was eating cheap sushi with me. And we talked on religion. Somehow, we got onto Buddhism. And I have studied into it, and found that I liked a lot of what it was saying save "Attachment is suffering" and the posit that being attached to life and living is suffering. It also bothered me because I was suffering because of my attachments to both my partner and The Church. In my despair I confessed this annoyance to my friend who said plainly: "Well, think about it this way: What is worth the suffering?"
In that moment, I was enlightened. My lover was worth the suffering, even the implicit suffering of hell, more than The Church and all beliefs therein. From there I let go of The Church.
Or so I thought.
I recognized that I was still in the State of Utah, and had to balance being out of the wardhouse so to speak but still be mindful of everyone who'd look at me as enemy. I didn't want that. So I never really became vocal about leaving.
Until 2016. November, 2016. I'm certain ya'll can see why I did that.
But after becoming vocal, losing my friends who where Mormon, I still held onto some things. The image of the ungrateful apostate bothered me. I wanted to be doubt in the mind of the members. To just be that question that itched at the queer members' minds.
And I was, I policed my talking about The Church in public, I kept quiet and I was deft at that. That's how deep The Church had it's hold on me. I was more willing to be silent and quiet about that life than anything else.
For a while it worked.
I moved out of Utah in 2019. I'm on the West Coast now. It's been good. I've been surrounded by people who care for me, friends and found family who are amazing. I've been getting a degree I've wanted. I've found many more lovers, and love them deeply. And that brings me to now. 2022. When on a whim I search the Exmormon tag on Tumblr.
And again, I am enlightened.
I survived a cult. I survived so much abuse.
And it is freeing to say that.
There is no winning move in the Shellgame The Church has left me and those like me in. So fuck it. I'm letting go more now. I'm letting go of this paranoia, like I let go of the shame.
And to that end, thank you everyone here who has given me such a warm welcome. Thank you, it is amazing to know people who have gone through similar.
Should a Latter Day Saint read this, and feel fear I say in the words of Wu Zetian of the Iron Widow [Good book, go read it.]

Should a Latter Day Saint read this and feel hope. Fight. Claw your way out and actually find a space to breathe. You deserve freedom.
