The Information, Technology and Digital Services (ITDS) Branch is a part of the University’s Division of University Operations, which provides enabling services and resource capabilities to support the University’s teaching and research objectives and activities. ITDS provides services and support to the University of Adelaide community of over 25,000 students and 3500 staff members.

IT Strategy, Planning & Governance team is responsible for developing the strategic approach to the planning and governance of technology investment across the University’s technology landscape. The Enterprise Business Analyst (EBA) will provide business analysis expertise at the division/enterprise level to understand business needs and provide critical input into designing technical solutions.

We are looking for three Enterprise Business Analysts (EBA) who will be aligned to a Business segment. The successful candidates will work with the Business Engagement team and IT Architects during technology investment planning, strategy development, and program level implementation planning, as well as develop and document solution scope in formal artefacts such as business cases. By using interactive customer-focused techniques the EBA will undertake analysis to support and inform the above activities.

In fulfilling this role, the EBA will assist the Manager, IT Planning and Analysis in ensuring that the University continues to enjoy strategic benefits that are operationally sustainable as a result of a prioritised IT Portfolio to deliver high-value technology projects from a whole-of-university perspective.

Salary: (HEO9) An attractive remuneration package is available to the successful candidate.

Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% applies.

Term of position: This continuing position is available immediately.

Position Requirements

To be successful, you should have:

Demonstrated experience of working with stakeholders at senior management level in a large and complex organisational environment, including governance committees, Executive Directors / Deans and Senior Managers to effect strategic change and collaborative arrangement.

Proven experience of Enterprise Analysis in a Senior Business Analyst or similar role.

A well-regarded technology professional who has a broad experience in consulting, project management and customer engagement.

Extensive consulting experience that has fostered the ability to establish strong working relationships with stakeholders to influence required outcomes.

Extensive relevant experience in senior IT analysis.

Proven extensive ability to apply a range of Enterprise / Business analysis and facilitation methods to drive and guide discussion, and elicit business requirements that are consistent and aligned with corporate strategy.

Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills, capable of inspiring others, proficiency in providing high level and honest advice to senior management in a respectful, consultative and collaborative manner.

Demonstrated ability to exercise a high degree of independent operation, strategic, problem solving and creative thinking, and a proven capacity to plan, prioritise and implement strategies for a large and complex organisation

Capacity for understanding the development needs of a leading Australian university, and awareness of local and international trends in the higher education sector.

Qualification/s:

Degree qualification in technology or similar – mandatory

Post graduate qualification desirable.
