Bird In A Cage Chapter 7 SNEAK PEAK

Gyro spent the rest of the night locked in the closet again. He screamed until his voice gave out and after hours of banging on the wall and begging to be let, he ended up falling asleep. Positioned in a curled up ball. It was cold in there and there was no blankets to keep him warm. There was no pillows to rest his head on either which meant he had to sleep on the cold, dirty floor, with nothing but a short and skimpy nightgown on. He wasn’t sure how long he had just lay there, crying his eyes out, until he had finally fallen asleep.

He woke up early that next morning, still in the closet. He had calmed down a bit since last night, and his crying was no reduced to a few sniffles and a few tears falling down his cheeks from time to time. It was so cramped and tight in here and there was nothing else to do but stare in silence. He was hungry, he wasn’t even able to have dinner last night. All because he refused to birth a baby into such a horrible life. Why did Ducktor want a child so bad? And why specifically from Gyro? He had so many questions and absolutely zero answers. He sat in an awkward silence, not knowing what exactly to do. He hoped Ducktor would let him out soon.

Luckily his prayer was answered when he saw the sliding door open up. Ducktor stood there in front him, all smiles. As always, he was acting as if he hadn’t just tackled Gyro to the floor just hours before, and then dragged him to the closet. Gyro looked up at him with desperate eyes.
