I am wearing shorts. In public. Haven't done this in years. It feels good to not really care how you look and just wear something comfy and soft that let's you breath through the heat. In all honesty I have to stop myself from cringing when thinking how my thighs and feet look having been years since my last workout. And having been busy raising a baby probably is no excuse for it too. Or the fact that I prefer to relax crocheting when I get a little time instead of hitting the gym. However, a few months shy of my 40's I decided that life it to short to wear long pants in the heat (see what I did there? 😉) I've been following the amazing @tovaleigh for some time on Facebook and lately every post she writes hits very close to home for me. So this is me raising my cocktail glass to all us women out there that have been body shamed for years and years, stressed out about what to wear to look thinner and taller and never really believing we are beautiful.
