⚑ Our muses are mistaken to be a couple by someone else.

They were being chase. Scratch and Fiona, ran through the crowds, while being pursued. Whoever they were, they wanted the duo dead. Scratch pushed people out of the way, while Fiona followed along. Exiting the crowd, Scratch stopped, his eyes quickly peering down an alleyway. Fiona nearly ran passed him, until Scratch called for her.

Their pursuers exited the crowd, entering the same alleyway. They reached the dead-end, yet no sign could be founds of their targets. Peeking out a door, Fiona watched them, until being rudely grabbed by Scratch. The Fiend shuts the door, turning to Fiona.

Angrily, he shakes his head, his eyes furious. He looked around; they were inside some storage room.  

“Okay, follow me.”

He said, with a tense yet hushed tone. Hopefully, they escaped their captors. Looking around, they decided to find another exit. Seeing a door, they entered, finding themselves inside a chapel. The chapel was tacky, badly decorated with bright neon-colors. The cross, which hanged at the altar, was neon-lit with blue and pink lighting.

Fiona found the decorations absolutely disgusting. Scratch nonetheless found the place rather fancy.

On the verge of leaving, they were soon interrupted.

“Oh my lord, what a beautiful couple!”

Scratch and Fiona turned, seeing before them, the caretaker to this garish chapel. It was the preacher, dressed with a silver sequin suit. He wore pink-sunglasses, shaped like hearts. His toupee, sat oddly upon his head. Rings graced his hands, fake ones, but added to his bizarre appearance.

“Ya’ll are the soon-to-be newlyweds! While come on up! Ceremony is about to begin!”

Fiona was about to say no, until Scratch looked outside. The assassins were out there, looking around for them. Before Fiona could politely say no, Scratch interrupted her.

“Why of course! Let use waste no time!”

Fiona’s eyes burned with infectious anger. She clenched her fist, her mouth trembling to curse. She turned back, wanting to leave, until she saw the men outside. She begrudgingly decided to go along with this charade. Though, she planned on getting her revenge on Scratch, for this embarrassment.

“Of course, love!”

She glared and then assumed a fake smile, while they approached the altar. A few moments later, they were “technically” married. The Preacher gave them the bill, including a free bouquet of flowers. Fiona was silent, brewing in her anger at Scratch. Scratch was glade; they lost the would-be-killers. Having returned to Fiona’s hotel, they stood at the door briefly. Fiona opened the door, but was stopped by Scratch.

“Want me to carry you across the threshold?”

Fiona had enough, grabbing the flows, she slapped Scratch with them. She entered her room, leaving The Fiend surprised. She closed the door, locking it, while Scratch simply laughed.
