Everyone wants clean images at ridiculous ISO and expects miracles.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Well I have to say that technology really is becoming amazingly good, especially with Noose Reduction software like @topazlabs DeNoise AI. No I’m not paid to say this - I bought a copy personally but have been blown away a few times with how I have been able to rescue a shot that was severely let down by technical aspects. This shot was taken with a 600mm + 1.4x handheld at 1/500th and 6400 iso. It was well exposed which helped but still pretty bloody noisy. Very impressed with this software. Human Genome Mannequin (revisited) One of my more popular images up on Flickr has been a chromed Human Genome mannequin I took back in 2013. During a recent trip to the #smothsonian #museumofnaturalhistory I was surprised that the mannequin was still there. She wasn’t as bright nor as shiny as she used to be but I was curious on how much I had improved as a photographer in the past decade. Much cleaner image (no lens flares) along with improved color and quality control. I ran into @mangoloo.cos for only a couple of seconds at Katsucon and was able to snag only two pics of her. I live by the old adage, "Make the best use of what you've got," and ran with it. I wanted to give this image more of an old-time feel. If you've ever watched any of the series, the animation is cutting edge but has a retro feel to it. Not quite Steampunk but more of a Jules Verne vibe to it.
