I don't normally post stuff like this but.... yesterday, Feb 13th 2023, the world lost a great man. His battle with cancer was a short yet strong battle. I truly never expected to hear this news. I didn't sleep well last night. I dreamt of Thick and it broke my heart. Being part of the community for nearly 8 years, I felt like part of the family. I hope he's finally at peace and I give all my love to his daughters and his lady friend. Its going to be different without him. Without his smart-ass comments. His "I'm a Human Man Warrior" will forever have a spot in my heart. You are greatly missed Thick. I miss you.

I was in pretty hard on Battlefield 3 and 4 back in the day and those old Battlefield Friends eps are just legendary--that, plus Doraleous and Associates. And then he was nearly as old as I am and actually good at these games, which put the lie to the excuse I always use of being way too old to be any good at playing any FPS. He will be missed.

I was tagged by @blossom-adventures to answer some fun questions 😁

1. Last Song? - On the Wing by Owl City. They’re one of my favorite bands; I’ve listened to them since I was very young. Even had a little CD player I used to listen to this album with. This song is absolutely gorgeous.

2. Last show? - I don’t watch much cable/network stuff. But if you’re really looking for something new My Name is Earl has always been a comfort show of mine. I watched it with my dad and sister and it’s really a fantastic show. Although be warned it got canceled on a cliffhanger, so there’s no satisfactory ending. I mostly watch YouTube though.

3. Currently watching? - Similar to previous question, right now I’m watching a YouTube series. Revisiting Needs Gaming play Ark: Survival Evolved because one of characters on the show, Thick44 (real name Tony Schnur), passed away recently. I watched them play Ark back in high school, so I wanted to revisit that series to pay respects to Tony. Their videos have brought me countless hours of entertainment. Me, my sister, and her fiancé all play Ark together too, so I always felt a deep connection to this series in particular.

Long live the Wyvern King.

4. Currently reading? - Exclusively fanfics 😂 The last one I read was Sweet Disaster by creative_frequency on AO3. Very sweet Ardyn story with some great smut thrown in. You should definitely check it out if you’re an Ardyn person. If you read part two, I suggest you pick the second outcome if you want the best ending 🥰

5. Current obsession? - Well, I’ve dedicated an entire blog to Ardyn soooo 😂😂 speaks for itself I think. Aside from that though, Final Fantasy in general has been an amazing community to join. I’ve only been a fan for about 2 years, I grew up a Nintendo kid and never had access to the consoles that had FF. Got into FFVII in 2020 and it was over. The amount of love and connection I feel to the characters constantly surprises me. And playing Dissidia has made me love the characters from games I haven’t played yet. I currently have all the pixel remasters, FFVII-IX on switch, X, XII, XIII, and XV on steam. I’m halfway through IX, with X being first in line for me to play next. I hope I can get to all of them 😁

6. Unrelated obsession? - I have quiet a few, although FF will always be my greatest love. Pokémon would probably be my second biggest obsession. One of my first ever games was Pokémon Pearl, and I’ve loved the games since. I’m like a walking encyclopedia for the damn pocket monsters 😂 I also played around in competitive VGC, so I’m a pretty good battler too.

After battling brain cancer, he passed away peacefully

Im not someone who cares much for YouTubers and internet personalities, but the Neebs Gaming group have been a constant joy in my life. When I was at my lowest, Thick and the gang always made me smile. I’ve always loved watching their videos, especially their Ark Ragnarok series. It brought me peace and happiness just to hear their voices as I went about my day and recovery.

I’m not the greatest at writing things like this. Honestly I thought he was recovering after his last operation, and I’m devastated to hear he is gone, but he won’t be forgotten.

WARP Uniforms

Finally got them fully sorted out (just need to finish making the female version of the uniforms)

Pulling mostly on Forbidden Planet, using the Orville uniform as a base. The SR (Search and Rescue) craft are indicated by blue piping The XL (eXploration and Law/patrol) craft is indicated by red piping

Commanders of the XL (eXploration and Law - aka Patrol) Fireball craft like Zodiac wear red

(he's a red head in the comics, and roughly half of the puppets were gingers, so my Steve is a red head XD )

=========== Science officers and engineers like Matic and Stephen Blackburn (Cpt Brown) wear yellow

Medical officers like Venus and Mason Frost (Doctor Goldenrod) wear green

Commanders of the SR (Search and Rescue) Fireball craft like Conrad Turner (Captain Black) and Dirk Gunter wear blue

(Dirk Gunter is a character from the first Captain Scarlet novel, who was honestly quite fun.)

I renamed WSP (World Space Patrol) to WARP (World Astronaut Rescue & Patrol) simply because WSP would be pronounced as 'wasp' and because WSP also stands for the World Security Patrol, which is the 'parent' branch that both WARP and WASP are a part of.

(I also worked a tip of the hat to Thick44, Tony Schnur, of Neebs Gaming, who I fortunate enough to have met and talked to a few times, who passed away a few days ago)

Rest In Peace Thick44

I just heard that Tony Schnur (AKA Thick44) from Neebs Gaming has passed away recently.

From making music (like the BFF theme) to voicing characters like Sir Walken from Doraleous and Associates and Sniper from BattleField Friends, Thick44 was a great Youtuber and Neebs Gaming, and the internet, will be different without him.

Sad news everyones! This post isn't silly and weird like my normal posts. And I apologize but as an Proud Ark Survival Evolve Player I feel it would be a disservice

So I recently heard the Legend that is Thick44 has passed away after his battle with brain cancer. As a fan of the Neebs Gaming crew and always found enjoyment out of their videos. Even when I was down their videos always brought a smile to my face.

Neebs Gaming was also a big part of when I first got into the game Ark and has been a channel that I always enjoyed seeing. Even if it wasn't ark their other videos were just as much fun to watch.

So I found out that on Monday, February 3th.... Tony "Thick44" Schnur of thr NeebsGaming group died of brain cancer.

Man, he was an integral part of their 5 man group...and now he's gone.
