#tldr: don’t blame girls for unrealistically high expectations

You know I just had the thought that the problem with the classic Disney Princess movies isn’t that girls should be told that “True Love” doesn’t exist and that no handsome Prince Charming is going to sweep them off their feet.

No, boys should have watched those movies and been told that if they want to treat a lady well, they should be gallant and brave and charming like Eric or Phillip and NOT a self centered jerk like Gaston.

#tldr: don’t blame girls for unrealistically high expectations #blame boys for not being told that they actually have to do something if they want a girl to like them #we really should stop with this whole narrative in modern movies that true love is bunk #love is an action #and kids need to be taught that romantic or not #it’s up to both parties to chose to love each other #disney #classic disney
