"i— oh. oh, i did not—" nope, looks like she still isn't quite capable of speak. orange eyes widen, and heat rises to her cheeks. she is determined to try again. "i, uh, i mean—"

the broth begins to bubble.

cayde's comm rings with one text, followed by another, and then another. notifications, coming from the pack's groupchat andal's harem, they'd named it, all those years ago. and with andal, their only fucking admin, dead and gone, well, they couldn't change it. couldn't abandon it, either.

messages had been getting slower and slower lately. shiro, occasionally chirping in to mention he was still alive. athena, taking the piss out of him. just those two. it was just those two left.

and then a notification, a soft shattering of the quiet city morning. nothing super unusual, except when another buzz comes through. not a group chat message this time. private, from athena.

He’s tired. It’s been a long day filled with monotonous but equally as long missions, and Tevis wants to do nothing more than rest. Not sleep, because sleep continues to escape him the vast majority of the time, but getting to sit down and rest somewhere no one else will bother him, or try to talk to him is good enough.

Tevis is about to make his way up into the rafters (or whatever other hideyhole he can find) of the den that Andal has brought them to, pointedly ignoring the small group of Hunters that make their way inside, at least until he notices Cayde with them.

He expects some kind of chatter, but none comes.

Instead, the Exo makes his way towards one of the couches, flopping down onto it with the same exhaustion the Nightstalker feels. Tevis debates with himself for a few moments, eventually sighing and making his way over, lifting the blanket off of the back of the couch and laying it over him. “Do I really have to do everything for you?” He huffs, more playfully than anything else.

And Cayde has managed to make it into another round! This time he needs a little moral support going up against Sao, so the Colonel is with him. From me, @ofeggies, @thvndersnow, @destinyanddumbassery and @caresofeternity.

Big competition for him though with Sao from @stcrfaring, this is gonna be a real tough fight for sure. I mean, does Cayde even want to win against Sao?

Cayde has made it through to the second round! Sorry Moon, but there can only be ONE real babygirl 'round here, and it's this Exo! You all know him, does he really need a better description than the coolest Hunter ever (fact checked and verified by reliable sources)? From me, @ofeggies, @thvndersnow, @destinyanddumbassery and @caresofeternity!

His competition this time around is Rocket from @caresofeternity, who had some rough competition already with the Drifter. He is still fuzzier than Cayde. You gotta give him some consideration on that merit!
