Thudge McGerk
DEBUT 1977
PERFORMER Jerry Nelson
Thudge Mcgerk is a Muppet Monster who appeared in Statler and Waldorf's balcony after they had invoked his memory in episode 119 of The Muppet Show. He has three eyes, green hair, long orange horns, and big ugly fangs.
According to the hecklers, Thudge was a scary actor in the vein of Vincent Price. His last film was Phantom of the Soap Opera. He likes butter on his popcorn.
Thudge was constructed from the Miss Kitty puppet with an extra eye, patches of green hair, orange horns, long fangs, and a tongue.

Miss Kitty
PERFORMER various
DEBUT 1970
“Miss Kitty” is a purple monster who first appeared as a Frackle with a match in The Great Santa Claus Switch, performed by Richard Hunt. When he appeared on The Muppet Show, his nose was changed from green to blue, and his eyes were enlarged.
The character was named during his first appearance on The Muppet Show, in the “Cowboy Time” sketch on episode 101. As Rowlf walked through the saloon, he greeted the monster as “Miss Kitty,” in a gag reference to saloon owner Miss Kitty Russell from the radio and television Western series Gunsmoke.
Despite the joke, the character has a male voice and usually has male characteristics. However, like other utility Muppets and background characters, gender can change according to the needs of the sketch; for example, in a wig, Miss Kitty is used as the female love interest of the “All of Me” singer on episode 108.
Like many Muppet Monsters, Miss Kitty had no consistent performer. His known performers include:
Dave Goelz: Episodes 101, 103, and 107
Jim Henson: Episode 113
Richard Hunt: Episode 119
The Miss Kitty puppet was also reworked for Thudge McGerk in episode 119 (where the character also appears, in unaltered form, in At the Dance and the closing song “You’ve Got a Friend”).
