Hello hi geologist friend can u gimme some facts abt osmium? Not a rock but a mineral so if not in ur ballpark pick ur favorite rock and ramble abt it if u want?

Osmium, while categorized as a native element, typically occurs in alloys with the formula (Os, Ir, Ru) and it smells awful when you burn it, apparently. It's a metallic mineral, as you can see, and it naturally occurs in mafic igneous rocks (closer in composition to the rocks in the mantle, essentially)
