A soft humming filled the room alongside the gentle scratching of a magical feather tip against paper, black ink decorating the book's pages with words of a story. The writer tapped at their chin as they paused, wondering how to continue.

"Ah!" they gasped, startled when a pair of arms suddenly embraced them from behind.

"Hello, my little magician~," the creature greeted with a purr, its glowing eyes shining with amusement.

"H-Hello, sir. You scared me!" They held a hand to their rapidly beating heart and turned to face their monstrous sponsor.

"I apologize, my dear. I simply couldn't help but be curious about how your next work was coming along." The creature grinned with a mouth full of sharp teeth and looked over their shoulder.

"Ah! N-No peeking!" The human quickly closed the book. "I can't have you spoiling the story for yourself, now c-can I?"

"Hmm. I suppose so, yes," it hummed, moving even closer and holding the writer against its chest. "But I also can't have you overworking yourself, darling. How about a quick break? That order of your favorite tea just came in~."

"Y-You indulge me too much, sir." They flushed, feeling their face grow hot as the monster chuckled in their ear.

"You know I enjoy pampering you, my little artist~." It nuzzled against the crook of their neck and left a kiss on their skin that made them squeak. "Now come. The cake I made won't eat itself~."
