had an incredibly fun game of dnd today. there was a city without stars, surrounded by a seemingly infinite chasm from which no one returns. and our party, searching for answers about the world (this cannot be all there is, surely? earthquakes are more frequent than ever and the sky keeps going pitch black. is this the end of times?) ends up... discovering a FUCKING MECHA. WHICH WE PILOTED. TO DEFEAT A KAIJU. TO THAT ONE PROMARE SONG

#it was actually SO SO SO SO fun!!!!!!!!! #to think you are playing lord of the rings but actually it's pacific rim #katie plays dnd #also the mecha mechanics were so fuckin cool we each had a different role that had different abilities and had to work together so much #having multiple ways of combat (us as people and then again us as the mecha) was so galaxy brain actually #ALSO one of our players was out of state so we had a whole fucking fancy set up so they could play with us like it was critical role or sth #and it actually worked so well and they were properly engaged and it was so COOL. god. i love dnd!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #this is actually like a second campaign now to my other one lskghslhg
