That big ball of fur laying right there? That’s Theodore Bear the Dog. Ready for any adventure (especially if it involves playing fetch) and always ready for an ear scratch. Good morning. How’s your coffee? ☕️ I want to take a minute to gush on this guy right here. #TheodoreBeartheDog was found in a crate under a house with numerous other dogs. When we first rescued him, he barked at us with a mean, ferocious bark that would put the hairs of any grown adult on end. We have come to realize over the years that it was one of his many expressive barks. He was nearly a year old and was under a lot of mental stress so he was terrified of anyone new he didn’t know yet. The people at Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida were awesome in helping us find the perfect fit. Fast forward to now and it’s amazing to see how much Teddy has grown and wiggled into his place here at our home. What used to be a scared timid dog is now a loyal, funny, sweet and caring companion. If you’re ever thinking about owning a pet, please let this story be an inspiration to go the rescue route. Not to get all #sarahmaglachlan on you, but there really are thousands of other dogs like Teddy just waiting to share life with you. Have you already rescued your furry family members?
