I received an invite to watch an early screening of Mortal Kombat Thursday night (at home),with a panel hosted by Shannon Lee immediately afterwards.
Late last night, the online reviews started pouring in from the entertainment movie critics, who probably got blasted from the studios the last time for doing the reviews too early with Godzilla vs Kong.
The reviews have been brutal, which has me thinking, they do know this a movie adaptation from a 1992 video game and not J.R.R Tolkien recommended reading book or even a graphic novel?
I doubt very much any person/gamer who has ever played or plays the video game is thinking.
"I wonder if this will have a good storyline?"
As you wait for the game to load.
After the year of 2020,it's okay to watch cheesy,action-packed,entertaining, popcorn-eating fun movies once again and this is exactly what Mortal Kombat is.
Even actor Ng Chin Han who has been acting for more than 20 years, plays Shang Tsung and reminded me of the characters from 1970s martial arts cult classic,"The Five Deadly Venoms" with his hairpiece.
Is this movie okay for kids to watch?
HELL NO!!!
The "Flawless Victory" in this movie is more gory, than the ones in the video games.🕹🎮
