So I really didn't think anyone would take Diluc's place as my favorite Genshin character. Then Kaveh came along and absolutely stole my heart. I have a running joke with my friends that my favorite fictional character types is blonde pretty boys that are clever idiots with a significantly bitchy streak, so I would have been sold on him anyway, but then you just add the extent to which I see myself in him and I was hopeless. Not to go too far into it, but I too am an artist who fears I'll never make anything of myself, has a tendency toward self-sacrificing/self-sabotogin levels of altruism, and with a taste too expensive for my means... Yeah. In a lot of ways, he's me.

If you're a Kaveh enjoyer and you haven't heard Will Stetson's "Writing on the Wall" go listen to it ASAP. It's heartbreaking but it's so perfect.

I still have low progress on the post but have this Kaveh headcanon cuz I just thought of it on the way home: Modern! au Kaveh who makes those realistic cakes. I mean, you've seen his speciality, he can and he would- He just wanted to sculpt sumth out of the blue, but plaster and clay [I do not know sculpting materials] are pretty expensive these days so he went for one on hand- leftover cake and convenient amounts of fondant.
