ugly sobbing over the kintsugi kid (ten years). the fact that it's got such hopeless lyrics about growing up and learning how to get through life while feeling so broken, and yet the meaning of the word "kintsugi" is the art of repairing broken pottery with gold, often with the realization that sometimes you value it much more now that it's been put back together, and being broken is not the end of all things but rather the start of something else... it's part of the process it's part of growing up it's part of life, being broken is not the end.

"one day we'll get nostalgic for disaster"
"I spent ten years in a chemical haze and I miss the way I felt nothing"

Day 11 of drawing every @falloutboy song! Today is The Kintsugi Kid (Ten Years); lyrically, this song is the most important to me on the whole album. Also, the title, the concept of being a person broken and put back together but embracing those scars as something that makes you beautiful. Man, I love this band so much
