Vamola Mucho: Kyoryuger's Korean spin-off series gets a Japanese dub

If there's one thing I never expected to hear about, it's a Super Sentai show getting its own spin-off series that's made in a different region. As more things start to surface on the Korean Kyoryuger show, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Brave/Power Rangers Dino Force Brave, Toei plans to show it in Japan with a Japanese dub.

One surprise about the series is that Koichi Sakamoto, the original director of Kyoryuger, is directing the Korean spin-off. Who knows, it might be a sign that this title will carry the original series' spirit. To top if off, it's being advertised as a legitimate sequel to Kyoryuger. Hell, it's neat that this project came to fruition from Kyoryuger doing well in South Korea as Power Rangers Dino Force.

Seeing that Kyoryu Gold is working with the new Deboss Legion in the show's trailer, my guess is that it might involve one of the original team's successors, which could work better in the title's favor-- especially with the new actors, robot designs and changes to the suits. Also, I'm curious to see how Torin comes back in Kyoryuger Brave.

Since we don't know much about the show's premise, it'll be interesting to see if it'll end up as a random knock off or a worthy successor to the 2013 Sentai series. With the project being a 12-episode series, I wonder if this will result in Kyoryuger Brave having some solid action scenes.

Power Rangers Dino Force Brave hits South Korea on April 1, with the show premiering in Japan as Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Brave on Bandai Japan's YouTube Channel and Toei's Tokusatsu Fanclub Website on April 14. While we wait to see how this spin-off will turn out, you can check out the list of the voice actors for the series' Japanese dub below.
