Hi sorry I need to do some more Pokemon posting bc this is the funniest shit. the cute-looking Pokèmon TCG series is making "TM10" part of its branding. Like, TM10 from the games - its the TM for the move Hidden Power, thats cute! Its reflecting the main character discovering herself in the same way the move works in the game, what a cute little detail!

Except uh. Just one problem.

Game Freak in all their brilliance removed Hidden Power from the franchise four years ago in Generation 8* and its still not able to be used in Scarlet and Violet. Its not just that you cant teach it to Pokèmon anymore, you straight up cannot use the attack even if you trade in Pokèmon from older games who know it. Its like a banned technique.

So then that begs the question – if the TCG show is gonna be referencing TM10 this much, but TM10 *isn't* Hidden Power anymore, surely that means TM10 is another similarly inspiring attack - Stored Power, or Calm Mind, or Smart Strike?

Well, depending on if its Gen 8 or 9, I hope the kids will have fun Discovering Their Own Magical Leaf and/or Discovering Their Own Ice Fang. Truly inspiring words. love how well managed this franchise is

Excuse the YouTuber in the corner I'm too lazy to switch to a different video but, it's probably a pretty easy conclusion to come to that KH might function off a somewhat stable time loop but nothing has really made it feel blatantly obvious than realizing that actually, since Ansem SoD sent Young Xehanort to Scala, that would mean there would have to be a starting timeline where the first SoD went back to start the loop, meaning there has to be a timeline where Xehanort never left Destiny Islands MEANING there has to be a timeline where SoD never existed, and as such neither did Xemnas and Terranort never happened along with basically everything else. So are we in fact confirming that KH does indeed function off a stable timeloop that never truly "started" somewhere and has just always been this way, or what in the world could have happened to still lead Xehanort to Scala without interference? Cuz now I have to wonder, if we're going by stable timeloop, then either Sora creates the tear in time every loop effectively creating endless ones over and over which could lead to a bigger problem(or not a problem at all if it's supposed to happen??) OR this is somehow the first deviation, which doesn't feel likely considering obviously Quadratum and Srelitizia being there seems to be decidedly factored into the equation here, but maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it hasn't been. Or maybe the problem is that Sora's genuinely not supposed to be there. Idk where I'm going anymore, but basically if time started somewhere and it hasn't always been a loop, how did we get HERE to the point in the screenshot where SoD/practically everything was able to exist to "create itself" essentially??? And I don't think that's possible without outside intervention, so it's gotta be a stable timeloop!

For a story I can't yet share the details of...

Jimmy and Scott separated because of poor timing, belated poor chemistry at the time, and other issues that arose where Scott had to turn more of his attention elsewhere and to other matters than toward Jimmy. So Jimmy left (which was the correct choice at the time), and - a while later - ends up meeting, befriending, and later getting together with Tango. Tango, at some point after this, convinces Jimmy to go talk to Scott again because Jimmy's still torn up about how that ended, he and Scott haven't spoken since, and talking it over would help clear the air and gain some sense of closure, perhaps for both of them.

So I have two paths I could take here...

A) Jimmy goes to talk to Scott, they mend fences, heal broken hearts, and find common ground again. They find that they work so much better as close friends, and they're able to support each other and be there for each other in ways that don't need to be romantic to still be worthwhile. Jimmy finds he meshes better with fire rather than ice (Tango instead of Scott), but the worth of his and Scott's relationship is still there no matter what. (Breaking up doesn't always mean breaking apart)

B) When Jimmy goes to talk to Scott, it's not just Jimmy that's been aching over the past. They mend things, forgive mistakes, and carry on...but in this instance, they find that timing, more than anything, was the main problem they had in the first place. They're both in a better position to try being together again, and Tango is fully supportive of that. Fire and ice balance each other out after all, don't they? (And Jimmy has two hands)

I think this sign is interesting because the Chinese only says 請勿踩出路徑 (please don't trample out a path), whereas the English says "To preserve the meadow, please don't walk along the same desire path". Is there even a word for "desire path" in Mandarin? I can find an article 穿過草地的“心選小路” describing the concept of a desire path for English learners: 魯迅先生說過，世間本沒有路，走的人多了，也便成了路。小區草坪上的被人踩出的小路，獵人們在樹林里長期穿行走出的小路，都是我們今天要說的desire path。However, there does not seem to be a single specific word for it. I get the feeling that perhaps the sign writer decided to err on the side of over-explanation in an attempt to sway the hearts of lawless foreigners prone to disregarding signage.

#rune factory 5 #rune factory #rf5 #alright finally got the orchard into the comic! im going to have it be relevant and explained eventually but ill describe it here to start #so on vivi's (wind dragon) ares planted an apple orchard to which he placed a curse upon #if one enters the orchard and falls off the correct path they get trapped in a pocket dimension(which ares learned how to create from lucas) #the only person who knows the correct path is Rei who in turn trained the wolves to traverse it as well #and ofc the wolves only obey Rei/Ree otherwise their one other response is to take ppl (Bea and by extension of scent Al) to the berrypatch #Ares made the field this way after the Bea attack while she was picking berries. Its a safe space for her to be alone and pick fruit #and still be ptotected from outside attackers (by both the enchantment on the orchard and the scary wolves that protect the place) #yeah so anyways. the enchanted orchard ! deffo not a public farm thats for sure haha! seasons 1-2 of wwdits are very funny and charming and good to rewatch but it is so disorienting when you realise how much they changed about the characters (for the better imo!) in later seasons. like. nandor says he was married to 37 women. nadja and laszlo are like, hiding their nonmonogamy from each other and being jealous? nadja has a cellphone? that she knows how to use?? guillermo can contact her on her cellphone???? mad. i choose to view later seasons not as retconning but as evidence of a major gas leak in the house that made them all more stupid gay and slutty over time
