I love darkness. It’s like a cozy blanket that protects you from the world. It’s both calming and freeing, and makes the world feel a little smaller.

#I am having a realization here. idk if I can word it. #other people and sometimes me are afraid when it’s dark cause we can’t see - we fear the unknown and the potential pain we could face #we feel vulnerable and that can be scary #but from that perspective we see afraid of what could emerge from the dark. we see ourselves as t he light within it #but me? i don’t feel like a light in the darkness #I just am. so the darkness hides me. I can’t see others but others can’t see me #I find safety snd comfort in not being perceived #the solitude means I don’t face judgement #I know I am mostly harmless. but I am one of the things that comes out of the darkness #that’s why I love creepy crawly things and bugs and bats and noctorunak animals #they’re just doing their thing. and i respect that and feel akin to that and am in awe of that #googoogajoob
