i can’t possibly tell you how grumpy i felt watching house of the dragon for like 97% of the episode. (really, any of the parts that weren’t ladies talking to each other.) i think i have some odd television version of ptsd from game of thrones. i’m still so MAD!!!!!!!

#but like i guess i'll watch it anyway until it really gives me a reason to hate it because what else have i got to do #dollsome's deep thoughts #also why is the weird roomie from notting hill here!!!! and why can't he be playing THAT character?!?!!? #anyway i don't really know how to communicate what bugs me #but i think -- similar to got -- there are these moves where the show seems to think it's making good television #but it's just empty gestures toward good television? #particularly with the depiction of gory violence #like 'this makes us so LEGIT!' but really it just makes you gross and unpleasant #and it's annoying even a fictional world that's supposed to be gross and unpleasant #i don't really know how to explain it further alas #i just think there's usually something to be said for a pg-13/tv-14 rating and the restraint and resultant creativity that usually comes wit #h it #IDK!!!!!!! #also watching people's body parts be chopped off makes me want to barf & i am not a fan #my personal taste definitely leans toward 'as little disgusting gore as possible' #disclaimer: i know putting my got issues onto this show made by different people is somewhat irrational #and i have no actual complaints of merit so far #but it was amazing just what a strong reaction i had to hearing the same music etc. #thanks for the everlasting agony got!!!!! adslkfjald;sfjk #(i'm gonna just keep adding to the tags on this post forever)
