I would really like to hear some trans Les Grossman headcanons, if that's alright?

oh man hello anon!!! i'm so sorry that this took so long to answer but real life got the better of me and i wasn't able to be on tumblr the entire day yesterday 😭 but yes!!! i do have headcanons, a lot of them. but first! i need to establish his basic backstory that @threeoaksy and i created for him:

Les was born on August 20, 1962 and is an only child to a single mother

his mom's name is Poppy

she's a hippie and had him young, but she's very supportive and was there for him in all the ways that matters

Les grew up in California, bc of the nature of Poppy's personality, they moved around a lot and Les changed schools a lot. he didn't mind, tho, as long as he was with his mother

also this is canon but reminder that Les is Jewish

now that those are out of the way, let's move on to the trans ones! many of them also created together with @threeoaksy, with some much needed guidance from @boasamishipper for our clueless gentile minds:

Les knew fairly young that he's a man and wanted to transition

he began socially transitioning as soon as he left the last middle school he was in. he didn't let any of his old classmates know. they didn't deserve to know anyway.

Poppy had always let him dress how he liked anyway, but after he came out to her, she took care to take him on a shopping trip.

Les made zero (0) attempts to come out to anyone else.

with Poppy's support he started t when he moved to LA at 18 and entered the film industry as a man.

he knew starting t was going to let him start to grow body hair, but he had no idea how that's going to go bc Poppy is the only family he knows/has.

the only thing he knew is that he'd probably lose his hair, but that was a risk he was willing to take.

it turns out that it gave him a lot of body hair, even as he starts losing the ones on his head. it was a bit of a surprise, but a very welcome one.

as he started to make money he was able to afford top surgery.

he gets his new ID before his top surgery and lived in a weird limbo of both euphoria and dysphoria until the surgery.

after getting top surgery and heading home, he and Poppy held a small, private bar mitzvah ceremony for him with just the two of them. Poppy gave Les a mezuzah necklace and they had wine and dinner together. it meant more to Les than he's able to admit. he wears the mezuzah necklace to this day.

Les never changed his name from Leslie. Poppy asked him if he wanted to, and he told her that he wanted to keep the name that she gave him, which she did after her own mother.

he never got bottom surgery. and he finds saying crude insults that involves his nonexistent dick hilarious.

he's not exactly openly trans, but not so much that he's afraid of being found out, but more bc he never saw the point in bringing it up. he's a man and that's all people need to know. even if others do find out, he doesn't give a flying fuck what they think of him.

(except Rob. the thought that Rob might treat him differently when he finds out is nauseating. Les doesn't want to think about what that means.)

(Rob doesn't, tho, except maybe viewing Les with even more admiration than he already did.)
