Author’s Notes: So, according to the kinktober list I am mainly going by tomorrow is breath play but that is a bit too close to choking in my opinion so I think I am going to do corruption. 

Eadwulf was tossing some logs into the fireplace when Ivar ambled into the room. He collapsed onto a nearby chair with a grunt of effort.

“Everything alright?” she asked as she wiped her hands on the over dress.

“Just take off my braces,” Ivar demanded.

Eadwulf frowned grabbing the supplies she would need before moving to kneel in front of him. Carefully, she removed the braces from his legs from there she gently pushed the pants up. Slowly, she took the cloth from a bowl of warm water and carefully started to clean his legs. She hummed softly as she then diligently massaged some oils that would help with the pain into the skin before wrapping them mindfully in bandages. 

“Is there anything else I can do for you my Prince,” she asked as she gathered her materials up before standing.

Ivar was silent for a moment as he stared up at Eadwulf his blue eyes calculating as he considered her. “Take off your clothes.”

“My Prince?” 

“Take off your clothes, Christian.”

Carefully Eadwulf stepped out of her shoes as she undid the belt that was wrapped around her waist and let it fall to the ground before moving on to the over dress. She paused briefly in the act of pulling up her dress when Ivar cleared his throat expectantly. 

“I’m waiting.”

Slowly, Eadwulf pulled the dress over her head and leaned over to remove her stockings. 

“Now the other one,” he ordered.

Eadwulf sighed before stealing herself as she leaned down and pulled the underdress over her head standing their nude. She blushed as Ivar’s eyes flickered over her form, his tongue darting out to lick his lips.

“Get on the bed and get under the covers,” he ordered.

Nodding she carefully climbed onto the bed squeaking when he slapped her on the rare as she did so. Looking at him she slipped beneath the furs and waited for his next movements. She watched as he removed his over coat and shirt before joining her in the bed. He climbed on top of her, settling between her legs as he ran his hands through her hair. 

“Kiss me,” Ivar ordered.

Eadwulf leaned upward and pressed a chaste kiss against his cheek. 

He scowled. “I didn’t mean that sort of kiss. Do I scare you, Christian?”

“No, my Prince.”

“Then kiss me, like you mean it.”

Eadwulf flushed but cupped his face as she pressed a tentative kiss against his lips. He deepened the kiss pressing her head into the pillows. His tongue licked her lips and slipped inside when she gasped in shock. He entangled his tongue with hers, pulling back when it became hard to breathe. 

“There we go much better,” he purred, staring down at her and licking his lips as he stared into her eyes. “Now, undo my belt and push my pants down.”

“Yes, my Prince.” she whispered as she trailed her hands down his chest to his stomach before she proceeded to what she had been ordered to do. 

“That’s enough,” he said, once she got the pants about half way down his thighs. “Touch yourself. I want to hear you when you pleasure yourself.”

“Where?”

“Between your legs. There is a nub there circle it with your finger.”

“My Prince-.”

“Do it!”

She shuddered. “Yes, my Prince.”

Eadwulf slowly moved one of her hands down her body and biting down on her lower lip slipped her hand between her legs.

“Did you find it?” he asked with hudded eyes.

Eadwulf licked her lips but nodded. “Yes my Prince. I found it.”

“Good. Now play with it and don’t be shy.”

Eadwulf nodded again and slowly began to circle the small bump she found with her fingers. Pretty soon small tenderials of pleasure began to trail up her spine and she found herself gasping at the feel of it.

“Does it feel good?”

“Yes, yes, my Prince.”

“Do it faster.”

“Yes my Prince.”

The movements picked up speed and her breathing became erratic as Ivar suddenly pressed a finger inside her causing her to cry out in surprise at the intrusion. He grinned and started thrusting his fingers in and out of her opening until he heard the tell tale sound of her pleasure. 

“Now, touch me,” Ivar ordered.

Eadwulf nodded as she removed her hands and started stroking his chest and back with the tips of her fingers. 

“Not what I meant,” Ivar snarled.

“Then where?”

With an impatient grunt Ivar removed his hand from where it was between her legs and snatched up her hand shoving it against his erection. “Stroke it. Carefully.”

“Yes my Prince.”

Slowly, Eadwulf began to stroke the hard length she found between her hands looking for a rhythm that would please him. Finally, she seemed to stumble across one that had his eyes rolling into the back of his head as he went back to playing between her legs. His hips moved rapidly against her hand chasing a release before coming in her hand. 

He hoovered over her for half a moment before staring at her a smirk forming on his face. “Lick it Christian.”

“I-.”

Ivar’s eyes narrowed and Eadwulf yanked her hand into her mouth licking at the sticky substance she found there. 

“Good Christian,” Ivar said. “I wonder if I should reward you for being such a good girl. What do you think?”

“Whatever would make you happy my Prince.”

Ivar chuckled before thrusting abruptly inside her causing her to cry our in both surprise and pain as he started up a violent rhythm. Eadwulf wrapped her arms around him as he thrust in and out of her without mercy ignoring her cries until he could no longer handle it, kissing her fiercely. Finally, he came once more and his thrusts became slower as his kisses became gentler. When he felt her shudder against him he drew away, kissing away her tears.

“Are you alright?” he asked as they lay there in a tangle of limbs of furs.

“Yes,” she breathed, pressing a kiss to his cheek. 

“Are you sure?”

She smiled. “I’m fine.”

“What about you? How is your pain?”

“Manageable.”

“Should I rub some of the special salve on you?”

“No, it’s fine.”

Ivar pressed another kiss against her lips before slipping inside her again. Her eyes fluttered slightly as he started a slower rhythm. 

“I love you,” he whispered against her lips.

“I love you too,” she breathed.

Tender

I spend late morning weeping with the news: a black bear with burnt paws is euthanized along the latest wildfire's newest edge.  It was crawling on its forearms, seeking a place to rest. I Google more; reports leak out: the bear had bedded down behind a house, below a pine, to lick is paws. In hours before its end, officials named it Tenderfoot, though some report just Tender. Later, I will teach a class where we'll discuss the lengths of lines in poems. I'll say a sonnet is a little song to hold a thing that otherwise cannot be held: a lonely thing; a death; a bear.

"Tandis que les études démontrent l’effondrement de nombreuses espèces d’oiseaux sauvages, récemment aggravé par les incendies et canicules, trois nouveaux projets d’arrêtés ministériels prévoient d’autoriser la capture létale de 107 730 d’entre eux.

Soumis à la consultation publique jusqu’au 10 août, les deux premiers projets, portés par le ministère de la Transition écologique, entendent autoriser la chasse de 106 500 alouettes des champs, l’un à l’aide de filets, l’autre à l’aide de cages. Quatre départements sont concernés, à savoir les Landes, la Gironde, le Lot-et-Garonne et les Pyrénées-Atlantiques, pour la saison 2022-2023. Un troisième projet d’arrêté défend la tenderie — technique de chasse à l’aide de filets, de 1 200 vanneaux huppés et de 30 pluviers dorés, dans les Ardennes.

2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022… le choix de la récidive

« Ces arrêtés visent une nouvelle fois des espèces dont les statuts de conservation sont défavorables aux niveaux européen et français », déplore la Ligue pour la protection des oiseaux (LPO). Depuis 1980, la moitié des effectifs européens de l’alouette des champs, connue pour avoir l’un des répertoires de chant les plus riches du monde des oiseaux, a disparu. Un fort déclin également constaté dans l’Hexagone, où une perte de près d’un quart de sa population a été enregistrée ces vingt dernières années. Le vanneau huppé est quant à lui classé parmi les espèces « menacées de disparition » en Europe, dans la liste rouge de l’Union internationale de conservation de la nature (UICN).

Le 6 août 2021, saisi par la LPO et One Voice, le Conseil d’État avait pourtant annulé les arrêtés ministériels similaires des saisons 2018-2019, 2019-2020 et 2020-2021. La raison ? Ces pratiques de chasse ne respectaient pas la directive Oiseaux de l’Union européenne.

En dépit de ces interdictions, le ministère de la Transition écologique avait fait le choix de la récidive. Le 15 octobre 2021, « plusieurs arrêtés ministériels autorisant à nouveau [ces pratiques] pour 2021-2022 avaient été publiés au Journal officiel sur ordre d’Emmanuel Macron, soucieux de ménager les fédérations de chasseurs à l’approche des élections », rappelle aujourd’hui la LPO. Une fois encore, les deux associations avaient déposé des recours en référé auprès du Conseil d’État, avant d’obtenir gain de cause le 25 octobre 2021.

Si ces nouveaux projets d’arrêtés, pour la saison 2022-2023, venaient à être publiés, la LPO assure qu’elle les attaquera immédiatement devant le Conseil d’État. En attendant, la LPO invite ses sympathisants à porter haut la voix des oiseaux lors des consultations publiques en cours."

Ce dernier envisageait d’organiser une étude scientifique afin d’autoriser de nouveau le piégeage traditionnel de certaines espèces d’oiseaux pourtant considérées en déclin.
