EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT!

The Temeraire Summer Exchange is back for another amazing year of fanworks! We are looking forward to seeing the creative output of this small but mighty fandom. The Ao3 collection is here; the collection profile contains some detailed information on schedule, event format, FAQs, etc. Below are some highlights!

Schedule:

Sign-ups Begin: May 12 Sign-ups Close: May 22 Assignments Sent: May 24 Posting Deadline: July 21 Works Reveal: July 25 Creators Reveal: July 30

How does this work? The first step is signing up. Use the sign-up form in the collection to do this by Wednesday, May 22! You are required to request and offer a minimum of one character or one pairing. You must also select whether you would like to receive or offer fanart, fanfiction, photomanip, or any combination.

After signups, the participants will be hand-matched to each other based on what they offered and requested and assignments will go out.

Gifts must be posted to the Temeraire Summer 2024 AO3 collection by July 21. They will appear as anonymous gifts for the recipient. Works will be made available to read on July 25, with creator names still hidden. On July 30, all creators will be revealed.

What are the minimum requirements for participation? For writers, a fic with a minimum of 500 words. For artists, a nice/cleaned sketch on unlined paper. A photomanip/moodboard should be substantially original. Please use your discretion – and reach out to the mod team if you have questions!

Matches are complete! You should have received your assignments. Make sure to look at "Assignments" on your dashboard or "My Assignments" on the drop down menu over on AO3 to see who you got, or just check the e-mail used with your AO3 account!

The deadline for posting your work will be July 21, 2024 @ midnight MDT (for anybody confused, that really means July 20 by 11:59pm).

For questions on uploading your fic/art check the FAQ or ask the mods. If you are uncomfortable with your assignment, or should you have to default, please contact us ASAP so we can start working on a solution. But for now, have fun working on your assignments!
