I think it's cute people are doing redraws of the taz graphic novel, it reminds me of when people did homestuck panel redraws with their own interpretations of the characters, but this time its just the undressing scene you are all so horny God bless

the thing about the #taz graphic novel too is that its all flat coloring. like, it would take literally half a second to paint-bucket colors, and maybe 5 seconds to redraw taako’s nose, per page. i dont know how long graphic novels usually are, but 200 pages – lets say it’d take a whole second to paint-bucket away blue taako for simplicity – amounts to 20 minutes of work, maybe more if they somehow tragically lost the .psds with seperate linework and colors. its such an easily fixable issue that its just obnoxious to not be like “ok, sorry,” and fix it. fuck, carey doesnt even have to do it! literally anyone could do it!

I was thinking about the graphic novel designs a while ago and like.... how do people feel about the idea of each arc being done by a different artist with different character designs? It wouldn’t help the issue of explicit representation but if griffin is so set on the idea of keeping it ambiguous it would at least be nice to have variety so that the only officially backed designs aren’t... this

#rat prattles #taz #I'd like to hear some feedback cause this is also coming from the perspective of a white person #also I don't know a whole lot about the process of getting a graphic novel made but I'd imagine it's pretty expensive #so I feel like another issue might be the fact that it's kind of late in the process #and hiring a new artist to redraw the whole thing would be pricey #I mean I'm sure that if they wanted to they could crowdsource it #but honestly I don't think that would be a good option at this point
