A realization I had in 2023:

It hasn't been an active desire, not in many, many years. But I had a lingering apathy towards living as a whole. Just a general "If I die, that's okay" mentality. Sometime in the past year, I discovered that I don't feel that way anymore. I want to live. I want to take care of my health so I can live longer. I want to build relationships and build my career and make things with my life. Because I DO care if I die, and I certainly don't want to do so anytime soon. My life is my own, and I will live it to its fullest.
