J20151209-0035—Rhus integrifolia—RPBG by John Rusk Via Flickr: Rhus integrifolia—lemonade berry. Grows never far from the coast from Santa Barbara County into Baja California. Also found on the Channel Islands of both California and Mexico. Buds are shown. The berries produced by this plant are said to produce a drink tasting like "sour lemonade." Care should be taken when imbibing for some people have an allergic reaction to the drink. Photographed at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Parks near Berkeley, CA.
