I am returning to the #BNB or #BookAndBeverage #BookNBev hashtags.

The top of the box partially covers the bottom row and the the corner of the far right panty in the top row in angle on the right side of the box.

In the left side in the shadow of a lavendar can of Taro Flavor Bubble Milk Tea Drink. The illustration is a light purplish pink liquid powering into a glass with back tapioca spheres.

This is the second time I attempted to start reading this zine. (Kombucha's caffeine in the black tea and the tiny alcohol from the fermentation process--oh, and the Chai latte before that--was my first time. I was distracted by entertainment--live music performers--at my outdoor table. It was the day SacRT had free public transportation and Filipinas/os/x had a Filipino American History Month pop up for arts and crafts vendors and partnered with Oak Park small businesses. This is how I came across this zine and its author. We exchanged personal anecdotes about SO-EN panties. Whenever my mom came back from the Philippines she gave me notebooks from National Bookstore, red salted dog eggs wrapped in newspaper in a shoebox, dried mango, polvoron from Goldilocks, Adobong pusit (but giant) stewed in black ink in a reused plastic tub as makeshift Tupperware, and of course SO-EN panties in a box. The floral cover on the lid with the oval around SOEN)

Thank you _gale.minna_ for gifting me this copy. I was too timid to ask for your autograph. I was embarrassed to ask.

👉@saycheesecakeau 👈 A new asian grocery store opened near me and they stocked cakes from Say Cheese. I bought the taro, cream cheese sponge cake with glutinous rice and omg it's so good. It's quite light, not overly sweet or rich, and I like the play on texture between the soft sponge and the chewy glutinous rice.
