#tai yu: not again you little rascal

Uh anyway. ADHD!Hoyoung:  

-He has incredibly bad executive dysfunction sometimes. Tai Yu caught on when he was young and helped him figure out ways to get around it, and still loves him even on his really bad days 

-Taotie doesn’t know what to do at first when Hoyoung goes “I physically CANNOT move right now. I want to but I can’t” and tries to move him with his tiny little demon body. It doesn’t work. Hoyoung tells him abt how his Master helped him through these days and Taotie works with that. 

-Taotie has to remind Hoyoung why they’re adventuring, especially when he can smell a fiend nearby that they need to get. Hoyoung has completely forgotten this on multiple occasions even while standing in front of the fiend itself. 

-He does a lot of vocal stims! He makes cat sounds a lot and has taken in many strays while exploring Mapleworld and Cheong-woon valley bc of it. Also repeated a lot of what Tai Yu said and saw Tai Yu use his “Ultimate Sage Skill: Thirty-Sixth Strategem” while saving Hoyoung from trouble when he was younger and he uses it all the time, much to Tai Yu’s dismay. 

-Hyperfixated on magic when he was younger and that’s why he was super excited when he finally figured out how to make the magic cloud in his introduction story. 

-ALSO hyperfiixated on Tai Yu and his story (read all 12 VOLUMES of Tai Yu’s tales and ur gonna tell me he wasn’t hyperfixated on him) and still somehow didn’t register that his master was Tai Yu himself. King

-Horrendous social skills. We kinda see this in his intro story and how he only really interacts with Farasi and Kaling, kinda just evesdropping on everyone else. Part of this is just that he grew up at Mt. Songyu and only really interacted w/ Tai Yu most of the time but even out in the Mapleworld when he starts exploring, his lack of “people skills” is very obvious. 

-Really enjoyed physical training because it got him moving and kept him from fidgeting as much during other lessons. Doesn’t mean he still didn’t zone out sometimes when Tai Yu was talking.
