yes gabby left but she didnt leave without saying anything at all. are you forgetting the photo with the love you partner in the back? i will admit brettsey is more healthy couple than dawsey. dawsey i used to ship them but in the end they become very toxic and not right for each other anymore. but brettsey is still weird for me when i think of how brett was there during dawsey miscarriage, she was at their wedding and was holding their son. if dawsey wasnt serious couple or if brett wasnt there for all these big dawsey moments it wouldnt be so weird.

Is it a usual situation? No. But it's not unheard of and surprise surprise stuff like this happens.

Plus, I think an important distinction is that sylvie was there for gabby in all those moments, not dawsey as a couple. I mean, with how brettsey developed naturally, I'd still be okay with it even if sylvie was, but the reality of the matter is that it wasn't so much sylvie there for dawsey, but sylvie being there for gabby, which imo DOES change how 'weird' it is

And I always find the way people phrase it as 'at their wedding, holding their (FOSTER) son to be the low-key weird part. Like the insistence that holding louie makes the situation even more 'inappropriate' which is

also, I was also originally a fan of dawsey, i loved them but that they just got way too toxic and i knew brettsey was going to be a thing going in - and i genuinely thought i wouldn't be a fan, because dawsey originally felt like an otp for me. but even then, I didn't think of sylvie and matt and them getting together even half the way some dawsey fans do because the takes are truly fucking bizarre.

(and also brettsey was so beautiful and organic that i literally fell in love with them which is why these takes imo are even more bonkers. like ship what you ship, i don't expect dawsey lovers to get behind brettsey because you do you, but don't come saying brettsey is wrong and a betrayal because the only person who betrayed trust between those three was gabby).

(and finally, like seriously don't come at me with the whole photo shit. GABBY WAS IN THE COUNTRY. she couldn't have planned a quick stop to her alleged best friend? she couldn't CALL? Or TEXT? just gabby once again putting her needs above her supposed love ones and just expected them to be happy with literally the bare fucking minimum. Like if that's all gabby could do, whatever, she has to put herself first but you only get to control what you do, not how others feel about your actions).
