,,GN! reader,, romantic relationship
,, getting a request from my favorite space robot author???? on my birthday????? bro,, imma cry deadass,,

,, word count,, 1111
𝐊𝐕 𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐆𝐄
▪︎ when ravage was deployed from soundwave and sent down to earth to assist in megatron's arrival, you happened to have chosen the wrong spot to eat during your lunch break
▪︎ lets be honest, if you were stuck in some underground secret military facility all damn day staring at some space junk while topside was a beautiful veiw of the afternoon orange sun bouncing of the waves of the ocean as they crashed against the sand like a beautiful melody, then you'd eat you there too (and you are you, so, lucky you)
▪︎ you had nearly choked on your food when a giant robot space cat the size of your car ran right fucking passed you.
it's tail scraped your cheek and drew blood
▪︎ you were a witness that would alert the authorities if they had let you go, so, horray you're kind of a hostage?
▪︎ you didnt really serve as much of a threat so they werent quite worried about watching you constantly, however ravage kept one oversized optic on you at all times
▪︎ the original plan was to smush you, but you had approached ravage with headpats. and although his grumpy ass wouldn't admit it, he liked the headpats :(
▪︎ convinces megatron to let you stay, something along the lines of "the human scientist has been studying the fragment of the alspark far longer than any Cybertronian has had the pleasure of holding it" as to prove your usefulness and what-not
▪︎ just wanted more headpats,,
▪︎ after a while ravage's affections towards you became more noticeable among the cons and they left him be, not without a few comments tho
▪︎ eventually you two would find yourselves head bumping each other and being all too cozy for a Cybertronian and an organic
▪︎ lucky for you, the old abandoned building the cons had been using as their temporary base of operations used to be a common meet up spot for petty thievery
▪︎ unluckly for whatever crooks left thier junk behind when the cons showed up and squished them, they left some valuable entertainment for a kind-of-prisoner
▪︎ ravage watched you plug up the television, casually lounging on the platform like a lazy house cat
▪︎ however when the just dance home screen popped up, poor kitty was so confused 😕
▪︎ why are the human in the recordings so,, colorful? where are their features? where did the backup dancers come from? why are they moving like that??????
▪︎ you quickly searched up a song and stood up in front of the tv
▪︎ if ravage had an eyebrow, or ya know, another eye, he would be this emoji 🤨 but with cat ears
▪︎ and then you started copying the stangly feature-less rainbow humans
︎▪︎hes mortified
▪︎ has no idea whats happening,, completely baffled in a traumatizing way,,
▪︎ at first he tries to come up with a logical reason to this... activity,, he comes up with nothing
▪︎ stabs the tv with his tail
𝐓𝐅𝐀 𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐙𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆
▪︎ icy was fronting when he walked up to your little station at the decepticon base
▪︎ after blitzwing astablished your inter-species relationship with megatron and the other cons, and a genuine interest and loyalty to the decepticon cause, megatron had allowed you to stay with your partner and blitzwing even got to constructicons to build you a platform and private room
▪︎ he mass displaced and entered your shared "home" only to see you dancing in the living room to lady gaga
▪︎ "what is this?"
▪︎ you shrieked in embarrassment and swung around to face your lover with a flushed face
▪︎ "...just dance?" you were not expecting him to come back so soon, he had a lot of tasks megatron wanted completed today so you had decided to push the coffee table outta the way and get in some cario undisturbed in the most fun way
▪︎ why do yoga when you can just dance
▪︎ icy switched to random and he grinned wildly "oooooo! lez me try!" and all but rushed to your side and immediately started following the little person on the tv
▪︎ honestly, you expected as such, but the embarrassment of getting caught doing cringy dance moves to lady gaga pop songs made you feel super awkward
▪︎ blitzwing seemed to be enjoying himself though, hothead would show up if he got a move wrong but you assured him that getting it right wasnt important, that it was just a fun way to get active
▪︎ icy was very persise in his dance moves and even asked you to replay to song so he could get it down right
▪︎ eventually the embarrassment simmered away and you joined your partner, laughing as you both danced
▪︎ random would switch up and start twerking
𝐓𝐅𝐏 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍
▪︎ being with breakdown was a mixture between very serious and intimidating moments and very laid back and soft moments
▪︎ this dude's whole thing is breaking things,, its literally in his name,, and he can be scary when he wants too,, but he can also be a complete love-sick idiot
▪︎ breakdown was the only higher ranking officer to show veihcons any for of respect or recognition for their hard work and to no abuse them or toment them in any way
▪︎ he knows when agression is and is not necessary
▪︎ but when he walked into his berthroom to see you unashamedly dancing on his berth with your laptop playing just dance videos, he didnt know what the appropriate way to react was
▪︎ he wasnt trained for this! this didnt come in the inter-spieces relationship handbook knockout gave him! or in the dating-while-being-a-decepticon handbook that knockout also gave him
▪︎ mans just wants to make his tiny human happy buy doenst actually kniw anything about humans
▪︎ "dont just stand there come join me!" you yelled while literally doing the weridest dance move he had ever seen
▪︎ eventually you put on something more slow paced and easier to get used to
▪︎ its the robot
▪︎ you played the robot dance
▪︎ he does the worst robot dance you have ever seen
▪︎ and he is a robot
▪︎ crappy dance lessons comence at 2am
▪︎ ....
▪︎ knockout walks in at 6am to you passed out on your bed and breakdown is aggressively doing the whip and nae nae

Chapter Five: Soulmark Freakout & Government Affairs
Tumblr media
hello! little author's note :3
hi! if you didn't already know, my name is sunny ♡ just wanted to let you guys know that ive had such a hard time writting this specific chapter because it focuses more on politics, and I, am in fact, not educated on politics,, at least not make believe alien robot / human affair politics,,,
im literally going to college for art i am so outta my comfort zone here,, so if this chapter seems a little choppy and not as put together as previous chapters, that is why, and im sorry 😭
it has been edited some to try and make more sense, so hopefully its not too bad!
thank you all for reading and the amazing support! your positive feedback fills me with creative motivation and just makes my heart swell
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Optimus Prime was having an internal crisis when his degsenation was called, followed by the young translator that looked as if he was dehydrated by the sheer amount of sweating his body was doing. "Igetis ton Autobots, Optimus Prime, pou ekprosopei ta Autobots."
He stood slowly as the peering eyes of Earth's sentient, primary species watched him curiously and skeptically. His chest plates continued to softly ache and almost seemed to be trying to push him in the direction of YN- YN.
That was her name, he mused silently to himself. When they announced her presence the Prime had a difficult time to not gawk at her. He kept his feet planted this time, not willing to have the Mother Stars throw him to the ground once again and embarress Agent Fowler more than he already has.
As much as the space dietys adore the romance that their gift to the universe brought to life, they were going to wait until after the meeting. He refused to let his optics wander in her direction until he sat back down.
Several other names were called and Optimus payed upmost attenetion to each human in the room, nonetheless, the Prime still would catch glances of the Greek woman across the room who sported what he beleived to be expensive and elegent, white fabrics- suits, as the kids had informed him once- each time with her gaze either at the person of the name who was called, or at the desk in front of her sorting through various notebooks and files. She was fiddling anxiously, that much he could tell. Perhaps it was because of his meer presence. Humans did have a negative perspective of exterestrail species, via syfi films.
Miko had made the team watch the film "Alien" from 1979 a few months back, as well as the "Predator" film made in 1987. That, among dozens of other alien-based horror franchises.
Ratchet and Arcee were not amused. Bulkhead and Bumblebee, however, were horrified.
Not to mention "Terminator."
Wow, Optimus mused to himself, wow, maybe this meeting is not going to work out.
Genral Bryce stood after roll call had offically been wrapped up, he smoothed out the front of his suit, medals gleaming under the florescent lights above. They made a soft clinking noise as they hit each other with every step he took. He cleared his throat, "Good afternoon gentalmen," he said, peering around the room as he made his way down the isle and to the front of the room.
"As you now know, we have called you all here today to address an exterestrail threat, as well as allies. And before we dive deep into the issue at hand, I wish to introduce you all to a program put together by the United States Department of Defense; the Autobot Protection Program."
"Thirty years ago, a space craft crash landed into the side of a mountain in Colorado, where a civilian made first contact with Optimus Prime. They were wounded and critically low on supplies. After the USDOD made their appearance, we of cource, had our doubts about the trustworthiness of these machines."
Bryce paced back and forth across the front of the room, making hand gestures that Prime didnt quite understand that point of. The translator kept up pace with the Genral's quick mouth.
Optimus then noticed, that Greece's repreentives were seated all on the left side of the room, as they all kept their eyes on the translator rather than General Bryce himself.
YN was on the left.
"There were only six of them at the time. All soldiers. All armed with advanced weaponry and tech. We had every reason to be cautious of these alien mechs. But even after alliences were made, the Autobots gave us no reason to doubt their honor, their honesty, nor kindness, and they most certainly did not give us any reasons to be afraid."
Bryce took in one deep breath. "So, I hope that you all will keep that in mind when making your final decisions on the outcome of this meeting."
Fowler quickly took the floor as Bryce sat himself down. "The Autobot Protection Program was set in place three months after their crash landing in Colorado. They came here for fuel. Similar to how we, as humans, eat foods to survive, Cybertronians need a specific kind of crystal to survive. A crystal that our planet  just so happens to be rich with. They call it Energon. And while Energon is good for Cybertronians, it is very toxic and harmful to us."
"According to the Autobots, the Civil War of their planet made Energon rare to come by. They had no choice but to come here to mine and harvest it for their own survival. The Autobot Protection Program was made to let them do just that without being exposed to the public eye. This kept up for thirteen years.
However, when the Decepticons reached Earth's atmosphere, things got a much more complicated."
Fowler looked to Prime before sweeping his gaze back over to YN, who had a notebook and folder open that she had activly been reading through during the speech. She gave Fowler an encouraging grin and thumbs up. The Greek translator continued to keep up efficiently, only pausing for a moment to breath.
"The Decepticons, led by Megatron, had and have very little regard for human life. They see us as inferior. They do not care for keeping themselves unseen by human eyes, which had been leaving the USDOD very busy cleaning up their messes. The Decepticons are not few in numbers. They came here with a war ship and an army."
"These sentient exterestrails are much bigger than us, they have advanced weaponry, and their intelligence outways ours over seven hundred precent. The Decepticons will eventually become desperate to execute the last of the Autobot's Resistance, and will most likely endanger civilians in order to achieve that goal. They have already started targeting children. But the Autobots are here to protect us. Optimus Prime made a vow to do so. They did not intend for Earth to get involved in their civil war and are here to put a stop to any schemes Megatron has to harm Earth and it's inhabitants in any way. And I must say, he has proven himself time and time again to be capable of doing so. He has saved my life more times that I can count." Folwer took a breathe, watching.
Whispering unease and silent panic warmed the room with the fact that these aliens were targeting children. The same children who are the lifeline of their futures and their planet's future. Innocent children. How many? Why?
"If you'd all take a look at the files that have been left infront of you, you can skim through mission logs, team roles, and the children that are involved's personal files. We assure you, that these kids are safe. The Autobots take them to and from school, extracurricular activities, jobs, and they spend most of their free time at the Autobot secret base. While yes, they are in danger of encountering Decepticons, they are fully protected with individual guardians- soldiers who are more than capable of taking down a few Cons and getting their charges to saftey."
YN had flashed him a horried expression at the mention of kids being involved in a fucking alien war. That had not been mentioned in any files he gave her before hand or mentioned during they're catch-up outings. Her glare calmed throughtout the explanation, but Folwer still flinched under her hard stare.
William forgot to mention it, obviously, too busy trying to both prepare a room of people to meet a giant metal alien, along with making up from lost time with his old University buddy, because, ya know, he faked his death.
He's ganna have to add another thing to his interal list of reasons he's pissed off YN. Yikes.
"The Autobots have been our only line of defense for the last thirty years. But we can no longer operate in secret. Which is why the United States Department of Defense and Optimus Prime have asked you here, in hopes of signing a treaty that will allow Autobots to operate in your country and retrieve one of their ancient alien relics, to which we have evidence of being in your lands."
The room regarded this information cautiously.
Optimus caught the anxious glace he sent to YN across the room, who, under further investigation, seemed to be murdering him with her optics.
The room was hushed with whispers and judging expressions. Perhaps mentioning the kids wasnt the best idea, but they were already on the mission files in front of everyone, so there was no point in ignoring the subject. Fowler waited patiently in front of the room while the crowd spoke in a language he didnt fully understand.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
After forty long minutes of various questions being tossed around the room with both frightfull and genuinely curious tones, a break finally put a pause on all current activities and allowed everyone to stretch their limbs and roam around.
I had marched straight to the nearest restroom before William could catch up and give me a worse headache then the one already making my forehead throb.
I really needed a brain break from politics and aliens, trying to force myself to think of other things while I rubbed at my palms.
Virginia is nice, I suppose. The beach is not nearly as clean nor clear as the one outside of my house. The humity makes my hair frizzy and makes me sweat in temperatures I should be used too. There are many historical sights, some I plan on seeing before my departure back to Greece. One of the first thirteen colonies and all that jazz.
On the ride from the hotel to the Pentagon I saw a mother and daughter walking out of a bridal shop holding into a protected wedding gown with the goofiest and most joyful smiles I had seen all week. She had found her soulmate and witnessing such a sweet moment brought a smile to my face as we road past.
I was hungry, too, daydreaming of soups and sour breads. Perhaps I'll look around near my hotel for a restaurant and grab something to eat before my plane ride home tomorrow. But I did see some goodies on a table right outside the room were having the meeting in. I could snatch a few of those before this little break was over.
I missed my own bed, five star hotel or not, I preferred my own mattress and my own blankets. I specifically missed the calming sound of ocean waves crashing onto the shore right outside my window. I also missed my cat, and all her mischievous glory. I hope shes not scratching the doorframes again. I'll have to call Mom later to see how everything is going over there. I should bring her something back from America, as a thank you for watching my house and evil cat and all that fun stuff.
Turning off the tap, I flick my hands to get the access water off before grabbing a paper towel and drying off.
Fowler had finished explaining everything. The aliens, their cause, their war, their alliance with the United States, the child endangerment, he explained "Groundbridge"s, of which I'm still not positive is actually a thing, and he explained why they believe that the object they're looking for is under Ancient Greece.
Now it was my turn. Well, not now. But when this pause was over, I was to take the stage and convince my country to allow exterestrails to dig through our history to find. And then I have to explain the object, of which I was given limited intel on. Fun times. Coolio. No stress. Of course, I have my own qualifications that I can use to sway the majority. But this is still a room of men. Old, white, cranky men, who think women belong in the kitchen and a buncha other mysonistic bullshit.
The tile floors are squeaky clean and the white noise of the restroom is sort of calming However, that calm did not last long.
Tossing the crumpled up paper in the bin, I go to pull my sleeves back down before the expensive fabric starts to wrinkle. This suit was a rental and I didnt feel like messing it up and having to pay extra.
     "Holy hell," I squeaked.
     Damn!
     Shit!
     Fuck!
I hadn't been paying my wrist any attention for the past couple days, rightfully so. Too stressed to pay anything else any attention. I mean god damn! I'm in a meeting with a fucking alien car. I'm a little preoccupied.
     My timer is gone.
Looking up from my wrist, I catch my own panicked face in the mirror. Eyes wide and jaw slacked. Now? Of all the times for this to happen, it had to be right now?!
Trying to recall the last time I remembered seeing it clearly on my wrist, biting my lip and pulling down my sleeves.
It was on my wrist when I was putting on my suit this morning. I believe it was there when I grabbed breakfast in the hotel lobby. But that was the last time I remember have a countdown on my person. At least, one hundred precent sure.
So, from leaving the hotel at eleven in the morning, to now, sometime around four in the afternoon, I have either walked passed or have had contact with my soulmate. And I didnt even notice.
     Fuck.

• coming back to Cybertron after a couple thousand years of your home planet being a floating corpse in space and hopping from planet to planet to keep away from the war- it was a lot
• landing on your homeworld was a rollercoaster of emotions. it was in ruins, everything you had loved here growing up was dead or destroyed. it made you want to weep and turn around while you still could
• but the suttle, pulsing glow of the planet's core made you push forward. because dispite the death, the gore, the fear, your planet was alive again, and you were not going to abandon it a second time.
• when you arrived to the location of the autobot's temporary output, you initially freaked out because vehicons were swarming the place. in every direction, the clones megatron forged were busying themselves with some unknown task.
• but when a bot approached, the autobot emblem placed perfectly and proudly in the center of their chest, your worries calmed
• smokescreen introduced himself and welcomed you home
• you were home
• he then explained that the vehicons, after megatron was defeated, defected the decepticon cause and began helping rebuild our cities
• and with that, things went by pretty quick,, everyone was so busy rebuilding the planet, bringing lost soldiers home, creating a government that benefited all, and rebuilding a peaceful society
• you had moved into the autobot's temporary base, aka, the Nemesis, which they apparently stole,,, fair enough
• it was big enough to house everyone who has returned to cyberton so far, so why not
• smokescreen had been your tour guide as well as your history tutor,, he told you everything that happened on the autobot's side of the war leading up to optimus' sacrifice to restart the planet's core- well, all the parts he remembered
• arcee had let you in on how much smokescreen was dedicated to being destiny's chosen one, much to the mechs embarrassment
• the laughs it got out of you distracted him from his squaking at arcee
• smokescreen and yourself had been helping returning soldiers in the medbay under medical supervision. knockout had been getting too busy to sleep and ultra magnus gently asked for a few servos to assist out only qualified medic
• after a while, you did start to pick up on some signals of affection from the autobot,, lingering stares, always offering you a engeron cube, something he called "pick up lines" what ever the scrap that was, etc
• bumblebee had even shaken his helm in amusement when smokescreen all but skipped up to you, bowed for dramatic effect, and presented you with energon candies,, "for you my liege,," he had joked,, but you caught the blue blush on his faceplates before he could make it go away
• you had cut your servo open by mistake in the medbay one time and smokescreen was all over you,, even knockout was looking at him funny,, funny, but with a knowing expression,, as if he knew exactly why the young mech was acting so strange
• he was fretting as if you got stabbed through the spark, and as amusing as it was, you had to shut him up before you got a helmache
• so, in order to do so, you grabbed the chassis plating and pulled him towards you with you good hand, and swooped him into a firm smooch
• mans was left standing there in another dimension or something because even snapping in his face didnt seem to wake him up from his daydream after your lips had parted ways.

The General of Sector E-7 stood on the human platform of the Autobot base. His stance radiated authority, uniform ironed flat, and his aged, scratchy face held a permanent frown. The aura he presented was that of a man in charge, which was accurate to his position.
"This is General Bryce," Special Agent William Fowler introduced. "General Bryce, this is Optimus Prime."
Optimus stood in front of the humans, posture that of someone who was showing American military-based respect to the human leader.
Bryce didn't say anything, brain too busy processing the robotic organism in front of him. Sure, General Bryce had seen the titans a handful of times, but nearly enough to not be blown away everytime he laid eyes on one of the.
Despite the humans being on the raised platform, they only reached just below his broad chassis.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, General Bryce of Sector E-7. The Autobots are eternally greatful of your hospitality and allowing us to stay in your country under supervision."
"As long as none of you aliens are ever seen in public," was Bryces's crude remark.
Fowler made an annoyed face from where he was standing behind the General. His eyes swooped the deck to make sure none of the children's belonging were left in the open. Pleased to see that they had (for once) actually cleaned up after themselves and erased evidence that they were ever here, Fowler returned his attention to the undoubtedly awkward converastion between two alien leaders with a humorously significant height difference. Optimus said nothing about the rudeness of the General's comment, nor did the semi truck seem bothered by it. Fowler was sure that the Prime had been insulted much worse than that before.
"I just need to give you the proper run down of how this meeting is going to work, the last thing we need is to scare off Greece and have your identity leaked to the public."
"That is understandable."
And so, Optimus listened closely to every instruction the humans demanded he preform perfectly.
Optimus was to be in his mass displaced form during the entirety of the meeting to aviod intimidating or possibly scaring off the other members. But also so he'd fit in the conference room.
Optimus was to leave the talking and answering questions to the the American representatives unless asked otherwise. Greece only needed to know what Sector E-7 deemed necessary.
Decepticons and their threat needed to be addressed when speaking about their reason to be on Earth, but they were to not dive deep into Autobot and Decepticon dispute, or how dangerous the Decepticons truly are - while also sharing just enough information for Greece to believe that the world needed them - for the last thing they need is for Greece to forbid the Autobots and/or America on their lands in case the Decepticons targeted the smaller country for seeing them as allies.
Among other smaller and simpler instruction details, of course.
After about half an hour of listening to Bryce rant, Optimus proposed a question.
"Forgive me for asking, General, but I must ask - why is my presence needed?"
Bryce didn't answer for a beat, racking his mind for the right words. However, Fowler beat him to it, much to the General's irritation. "Humans don't necessarily believe in, ya know, aliens. Not without solid proof, anyways. If we called Greece's Government Officials across the world just to hear us rave about conspiracy theories, they'd thing we're crazy and would never allow us access to Ancient Greece."
Optimus let the information settle. Yes, that made since. Sure, the kids took everything pretty well, but they were high on adrenaline at the time. Of course, Fowler was trained in the event of aliens and was already aware of the Autobots. June was the only one to have acted the way she did when she discovered their existence, and she was the only one besides the kids to have encountered them. (So far).
"Some people believe in the idea of aliens, others think its absolutely ridiculous. Syfi films are only there for entertainment, they don't mean that we actually believed in the prospect of it."
"Photographs wouldn't be an option, either, for a number of reason. People could believe they're legit pictures, or they could claim they're edited, photoshoped, or a trick of the eye. Also, no one is permitted to take photos of any of your Autobots in the event they might get leaked," Bryce continued.
Both Optimus and Fowler inwardly cringed in memory of Miko having a whole photo album of alien shit. But Ratchet had the children's flip phones upgraded and protected by an alien firewall, the the likelihood of someone hacking into Miko's phone and leaking the images were highly unlikely.
"I understand, thank you for explaining."
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
With the meeting approaching in less than a week, Agent William Fowler had me flown out to to eastern coast of the United States, Virginia, on a private plane. The state in which the Pentagon resided. And as I descended down the stairwell of the fancy, five star hotel that Sector E-7 booked for me, the smell of American breakfast foods met my nose pleasantly and wafted through the pearly white hallways.
Mom and Dad were cat and house sitting for me while I'm away for a "business trip." Which, technically, I wasn't lying about.
American foods are probably to only thing I liked about this country, aside from it's mountains and forests. However, obtaining those foods from Greece were difficult and not cheap. I usually only ate them on special occasions, like my birthday or my mother's. Actually, Mom was born and raised in America, but moved to Greece after meeting her soulmate, my Dad (who was from Greece) at an Art Gallery in New York. They were both young, fresh out of college, aspiring artists.
I grew up learning the culture of both countries, and eating both their foods. Mom wasn't the best cook, but if you put a recipe book in her hands, the meals she would make would make anyone's taste buds exploded in delight.
But now that I was visiting the country for the first time, I was determined to know what other things my Mom grew up eating.
The dining hall was busy, as I expected from a luxury hotel at eight in the morning. Everyone that floated around the vast cafeteria wore expensive suits or pretty dresses, and I, surprisingly, did not feel so out of place. The white flowey sundress that reached just above my ankles wasn't fancy per say, but it was enough to match the aesthetic of the building.
I grabbed a plate at the edge of the buffet table, and grabbed a few foods I was familiar with, before coming across some that I wasn't.
"I recommend trying the egg muffin," William said, sliding next to me with a plate in hand. I had almost forgotten he was staying here too.
"Isn't that a fast food restaurant thing? I thought McDonald's was gross."
"That's an egg mc'muffin, and they can be good sometimes. This is just a regular egg muffin."
"Oh," I said. I grabbed one, and then a small bowl of mixed fruits, then left to find a vacant table. William grabbed a few other things before joining me.
As long as it's been since I've been around him, and after the awkward conversations about secret identities and aliens, this exchange felt normal. Reminded me of eating and chatting in the University cafeteria all those years ago.
"So, did you're timer ever stop?" Aha! You did it! You made a conversation starter that wasn't awkward! Achievement unlocked!
Will swallowed his bite of the cheese cream covered raisin bagel before answering. "Yeah it did, recently actually!"
"Oh?" I grinned, intrigued, "tell me about them- boy or girl?"
I picked up my fork.
"Girl," he smiled. "Works in the medical field. She's very kind hearted, but we've had our arguments."
I hummed, bitting into my food as I listened to him ramble. I glanced down at my plate after taking a bite. This was good- i think its called grits(?).I took another bite.
"Got a kid too, and I tell ya', she'd kill for that boy," he laughed. The look in his eyes was sweet and sugar filled. "He's about eighteen now, his birthday is coming up in April. I think he's wanting to start a career in engineering once he graduates."
"Engineering huh? His mom must be proud."
"Sure is. I think he's already got a few companies that are offering him apprenticeships."
"Wow," I gasped. He's barely eighteen and already has companies trying to pull him under his wing? Damn.
"My soulmate's name is June, and the kid is Jack."
William's aura shifted from casual to joyful since this simple conversation started, and it was extreamly contagious. He was so happy and content. I found myself smiling dumbly along with him at the thought of soulmates and families.
"What about you?" He asked.
I swallowed the food in my mouth before answering.
"What about me?"
Will snorted, "You're timer."
"Still ticking," I shrugged.
Over breakfast I soon had learned very much about June, and Will's relationship with her. They were taking things slow. The reason being their jobs and priorities. June was a nurse in a small town with only a single hospital, she was constantly busy. On the rare occurrence that she wasn't, she spent it with her son, his friends, and William (if he happened to be present.) While Will was a secret governmental agent without an identity, who delt with a group of giant alien toddlers - his words, not mine.
So slow it was.
(And, although he brushed it off whe I asked, Will was anxious about what her son thought of him.)
Will eventually left due to work- he got a call from one of his superiors, I think I heard the names General Bryce and Prime, and then I was left to wonder on my own.
I later found myself sitting crossed legged on the fluffy mattress and white comforters of my hotel room, the files I was left during my first encounter with my old friend laying in front of me. I studied the papers quietly for several hours, sucking up as much knowledge as I was given. My job was to convince the Greek Government to allow the American Government onto restricted ancient ruin sites, so I needed to be prepared.
This was also going to open up to closer relationships between the countries via thier secrets, and hopefully, eventually, more countries. The Greek Governmental Leaders were of course going to be briefed about the Autobots, their cause, why we needed them, and why they needed access to Ancient Greece.
However, as mighty and good as the Autobots may be, they're still extraterrestrials in the middle of world-demolishing civil war. Convincing them was going to be a pain in the ass.
This was less of a job opportunity the moment I signed those papers and received these files. Now, this was a matter of life or death. During my time alone after writting my name in black ink, Ive had time to process the information I was given, and the situation was much more dire than Will had let on. Maybe he left out parts to save my conscious from the stress. Either way, I knew as much as I was given. There was a war being fought on our planet, under our very noses. These Autobots were here to protect us, here to protect families they didnt know, children that weren't their responsibility, here to save the lives of the many at the cost of their few; seven.
So, if these robotic organisms from outter space needed this relic that's buried somewhere under piles of fancy historic rocks, then I was going to bend Heaven and Hell and make it happen.

Are your requests open? If yes i had an idea
How would bots (op ratch and wheeljack) react to seeing their charge all bruised and beaten up and turns out they fought their bullies?
If you've closed the recuests then ignore me mate❤
         ,,GN! reader,, platonic relationship
         ➪
,, i hope you can forgive me for taking so long on this! 😭 i had immediately started working on it and as soon as i got to writting OP's part i got stuck,, so i hope you dont mind but i only wrote for ratchet and wheeljack - request are always open btw,, <3
         ➪
         ,, TW!!,, none

        ,, word count,,
WHEELJACK
• the final straw was when they mentioned "your car," in a snippy side comment after pushing you into the lockers
• their exact words had been, "whered you get that thing anyway? looks expensive, maybe japanese, did you steal it? you probably did. considering the way you dress. honey if you need money just ask, i have plenty to spear," she grinned mockingly
• your patience had already been stretched thin with this girl. you had done every civil means of avoiding this situation with her,, you had spoken to teachers, your parents, the principal and counselors, she had been given detention and had to sit through school therapy sessions, but nothing had ever effected the way she treated you
• fuck the school record, you were sick of this bitch
• so, you did exactly what Wheeljack showed you when you had watch him and Bulkhead spar
• you balled your fist as she cackled at her own lame jokes, you swung and a sickening punch landed on her face, you swept her leg, and as your "enemy" (as Wheeljack had phrased it after complaining about this bully) was falling backwards with a cry, you tackled her while an angry war-cry
• of cource, her goons got to you before the teachers left their rooms to stop the fight
• and you gatta say, looking in the mirror of the nurse's bathroom, you were rocking the black eye my dude
• Wheeljack had been there to pick you up, he could whenever he was nearby or summonedfor missions, and when he wasn't, you rode with miko and bulkhead
• as soon as you plopped into the passenger seat, wheeljacks rear view mirror turned you
• you threw your back to the drivers seat and grinned wickedly up at the mirror
• "... is that the human make-up thing miko was talking about?"
• "nope," you smiled. and then after his confused silence, you gave the explosive-loving-robot the whole story while holding up a slip of paper intended for your parents to read that said in large font "suspended"
• he was a little surprised at first. sure, your a little spunky, but he didnt think you had the guts to do it with all your talk about "school records" and "college," whatever scrap that was
• "get 'em tiger!" he cheered as you both raced to base, "did you really use my moves?! i dont think ive ever been so proud of a sparkling before"
• "and your getting rewarded by your school for it??? i thought miko said theyd punish you!"
• "uuh, yeah so being suspended is a punishment"
• "how???"
• you shrugged
• and after several minutes of bickering over which bot's moves were best (wheeljack was deadset on himself, while you argued on arcees behalf) he asked
• "wait. you memorized my fighting technique, by watching me play-fight with bulk??"
• your guardian is proud AND impressed
RATCHET
• ratchet was not impressed
• he scanned your body as you sat on the railing near his work station and inwardly cringed at his disaproving scowl
• "no major injuries, just a small cut on your lip and bruising on your ribcage"
• you licked your bottom lip as he said so and winced,, chap stick wont fix that as you had hoped
• "care to explain yourself?" Ratchet sassed, shifting his weight in front of you and putting his servos on his hips
• you could tell he was trying to intimate the parental figure scolding thier child in the movie raf had picked out the night prior,, but the sight was too humorous to be considered imitating
• you swung your legs as you sat on the rail, "it was the bully..." you mumbled
• ratchets optics had softened at that, but you continued
• "i kind lost my grip and kneed him in the balls"
• "I-"
• "so technically I started the fight,, miko said it looked like i won though so thats something i guess,, am I in trouble?"
• eventually, after a long scolding on violent behavior, ratchet finally settled down and sent you on your way
• you were kinda bumbed out as you sunk into the couch and watched the others play video games
• you dug out a book to entertain yourself from you bag and curled up in a comfortable position,, as comfortable as you could get with ice on your middle
• after a while, finishing several chapters of your preferred novel, Agent Fowler approached you with an annoyed frown
• "are you ready," he grumbled
• "..ready for what?"
• "what? the doc didnt tell you? he wants me to teach you how to protect yoursel-"
• "YOURE GANNA TEACH THEM HOW TO KICK ASS?!?!" miko shouted with an accusing ginger and a wide smile
• "to protect themselves," he stressed, "not attack."
• "why?"
• "because he rather you know how to deal with the situation than come to him with minor human injuries. his words not mine."
• you smiled to yourself
• several days later you finally had the courage to thank the doc bot
• "i dont know what youre talking about," he waved a servo, turning away
• however, you did catch a glimpse of an relieved sigh

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
When I graduated University, majoring in Classical Studies, Greek Mythology and Ancient Greek History, the last thing I expected to be doing with my life was advocate for robots from outter space.
I mean sure, I've been stranger than the average person growing up, considering I starting teaching myself how to speak Latin when I seven, among learning other languages, but this was out of my league. Way out of my league. However, I still managed to show up to the alien meeting at the Pentagon. Sure, I was half an hour early, but hell, I was pulling off this suit.
Maybe loading up on caffine before hand wasn't the strongest idea with how quickly it can mess up a stomach, but I desperately needed the energy.
William stopped by my hotel room last night with some last minute information that could help our case along with some of his personal drabbles and notes he had been taking since being assigned on the Autobot project four years ago. All of this new information grated one last alien study session, leaving me with another sleepless night and major headache.
Coffee is my true lover. Sweet, sweet, french vanilla.
I pushed open one of the massive double doors leading into the room I was told the meeting would be held. Stepping through with a stomach full of butterflies and my knuckles turning white from the grip on my metal coffe cup.
Not sure why I expected a standard meeting room like I was working for a regular business and not the government. Maybe it was just my brain trying to calm my nerves by imagining a calmer environment then what I signed up for.
Nevertheless, the room was massive and reminded me more of a courtroom than just a long desk and chairs.
The room was in a half circle shape with curved wodden benches and tables in several rows. The tables were the same oak wood as the benches and had mini microphone stands screwed onto the table tops.
The isle floors were a worn, blue carpet with various intricate designs. The end of each isle led to the center of the back wall, where three tables sat in front of the american flag the hung against the marbel columns.
There were two other people in the room, assumingly early as I am, who chatted amongst themselves in hushed voices. One was wearing a military uniform with a collection of medals and badges. His hair was grey and aging. I reconised him from a photo Fowler showed me in one if the Autobot files: General Bryce - he ran the Autobot Protection Program.
I gave him a simple nod of recognition as I walked down the center isle and to the left bench on the first row, where my name was plastered.
He responded with a disaproving scowl my way, to which his friend followed.

"Alright big guy," Fowler clapped his hands together as sweat collected at his hairline in the summer heat of Virginia, "Just do your skrinking trick and leave the rest to Genral Bryce and our other representatives. If everything goes over smoothly then you should be getting your hands on that relic very soon."
Optimus Prime was kneeling on a single knee, arm resting across his thigh as he bent closer to the payment, trying to at least be close enough to propperly hear and listen to Agent Fowler's instructions. He gazed over the empty VIP parking lot of the Pentagon with weary optics. Unoccupied vehicles of staff and important visitors were parked, there were no signs of peering eyes.
Optimus sighed and obligated to the human's wishes.
Metal plates shifted and compressed until the mech stood at the desired height, the smallest he could physically go. Eight feet and seven inches.
"It is called mass displacement," Optimus simply corrected, rolling his shoulder pads uncomfortably.
It's been a while since he last mass displaced, however, his bipedalism cord was quite thankful with the absence of bending over just to hear the human's tiny voice.
"Potato pátoto," William dismissed with a wave of his hand.
"No, I said it is called mass displacement." The Prime pulled a face of either offence or confusion.
Fowler stared up at him, who was still several heads taller than himself, with a tired expression. The Secret Governmental Agent didn't have the energy, nor the time, to explain idioms and vegetables to someone who ate glow in the dark rocks and only spoke literally.
"Nevermind just- just follow me please." He grumbled, jestering for the smaller robot to follow him passed the parking lot and into the Pentagon.
00:00:00:00:00:03:17
Using the backdoor and high clearance hallways to avoid lower ranking employees to spot the literal eight foot tall alien robot, they approached the conference room in nearly two minutes flat. One minute and forty three seconds to be exact.
Optimus knew that, because he kept anxiously glancing down at his wrist while they walked through the wide, beige corridors.
Fowler either didn't notice, or didn't care enough to mention it, but the Prime felt he was being too obvious in his agitated body language.
Will pushed the large double doors open and the bubbling noise of private conversation ceased into an amazed quiet.
Optimus had been expecting the stares since Agent Fowler told him about the meeting - of course he expected it, of course there would be stares. It was like that with every planet they visited, the ones that enhabitied sentient life. Frag, he'd still get stares on Cyberton! It comes with the job. It
comes with the name.
A small tug at his chestplate from an invisible force had his upperbody lerching forward just slightly, but he stayeed planted where he stood. Behind his chest armor a sizzling heat began to emerge, the source it'self seeming to be orginating from his spark.
No one seemed to have notice, too busy gawking at the exterestrail. No one but Fowler, apprently. The agent in question gaving the Prime a strange look and a silent demand to not screw this up.
However, as they walked down the isle of the room with every pair of eyes trained on his red and blue frame, something he didn't expect was going to happened.
As the duo decended the long isle, Optimus let his gaze travel around the room. From the striped flag, to the marbel walls, to the left side of the room full of benches and desks.
And then, finally, to a pair of vibrant eyes that watched him with a mesmorized and calculating gaze.
00:00:00:00:00:00:00
YANK!
Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots Resistance and hold of the Matrix, fell flat on his face.
The invisible force shoved him forward and the wasn't prepared to catch himself. He tripped on his pede and stumbled forward until he hit the ground with a loud clank.
Fowler wanted to slap his palms over his face and let out a distressed groan.
The room stayed silent as they watched in confusion. Was the robot guy malfunctioning?
Genral Bryce glared at the secrent agent, the corner of his lip twisted upwards with a displeased grimance.
Optimus began to pull himself up, not at all embaressed, more so concerned about his own well being. His chestplate was tingle-y and spark heating his body up significantly. The question was why.
"My appologies," Prime started to Fowler, but the whole room listened as if he was adressing everyone, "I have not used this form in a significant amount of time."
Agent Fowler sucked in a breath, "It's fine," he seethed low enough just for the Autobot to hear, "Let's just get tp our seats and wait for it to begin without casuing a bigger scene, yeah?"
It was a demand rather than a question.
First row on the right is where they sat, quite akawardly. The Prime, even at eight feet, looked too large for the oak bench with his knee pads level with the windsheilds on his chestplate. Comedically too large. Meanwhile, beside him, Secret Agent Willaim Fowler look to far small next to him.
Like The Rock and Kevin Hart.
Everyone in the room began to seat themselves in their assigned places and gather their things, laying them on the desks in front of them. A translator entered the room.
Optimus let his optics travel once more, this time however, with a target in processor.
The young woman sat the next row over to his left, sitting down and bent over, digging through the bag at her feet in search for something within it. Her hair covered her face from the angle he was at. She leaned back up, pulling out soft cover notebook and ink pen. Tucking her hair behind her ear, she flipped the small book to the desiered page and relaxed in her seat.
His mouth formed a firm line.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"Ancient Greece Historian and Mythologist, YN LN, representing the Autobots."
I stood when my name was called, keeping my chin up until my signal to sit once more came. I refused to act submissive being the only women in the room full of men. Holding a confident aura above my head like I deserved to be here. When I sat down I could see Will next to the alien out of the corner of my eye. He sent a genuine and encouraging smile and a suttle thumbs up.
I winked back, keeping my face facing the front of the room.
The robot watched our distant and silent conversion in pure confusion.
I scratched the suit's sleeve over my wrist with a small frown. It's been irritated since the meeting started. Of course it had to be today of all days that I got a rash. I'd have to reread the tag on the suit later to look at the materials listed. I hope I'm not alergic to the fabric. Mostly because I feel confident in it and don't want to buy another set. That shit is expensive.
Other names and titles were called that I was unfamiliar with.
"United States Agent, Willaim Fowler, representing the Autobots." The past couple times I've seen Will he's been wearing a suit and tie. Today, however, he managed to wear one that didn't look so grey and dull, as ussual. White button up and black coat and slacks. Yellow acents on the sleeves. A nice change in pace.
Fowler sat, holding his red tie as he did so.
The man announcing roll called paused with an obviously fake cough before continuing.
"Leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, representing the Autobots."

"I hate to interrupt, Prime, but I've got an update on that Cybertronian Relic you need," Agent Fowler commed in, a photo reference of him popping up in the corner of the computer screen of common room.
Optimus was standing behind Ratchet, who was busy combining various formulas, typing away on the screen.
Optimus had been observing, but soon found that there wasn't much to observe. As smart and wise as he was, math and science wasn't his strong suit. So, he instead opened up his Daily Data Log, and began to distract himself.
𝙳𝙰𝙸𝙻𝚈 𝙳𝙰𝚃𝙰 𝙻𝙾𝙶
𝚜𝚊𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚐 . . .
> 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚎
> 𝚎𝚡𝚒𝚝
Optimus quickly saved and exited his daily log - an internal data collector within his brain, normally used for containing extra memory cells in case of failure. However, Optimus uses it more like what humans would call, a diary.
The reason was simple yet complicated: Orion Pax started creating these logs after he became a candidate for Prime, for he knew that if he were to be chosen the transaction (the knowledge of the Primes) would fry his memory cells completely and replace them. Why waste this extra backup space when there'd be no way to recover his memories anyways? Might as well store some internal files there so that he would know something about himself if he were to be chosen and accepted. It felt odd, knowing that at some point you would not recall that last centuries of your existence.
Now, for Optimus Prime, it is more like a nervous habit, perhaps a way vent - a coping mechanism, if you will. When he discovered the files in his backup space, he had immediately dug through them and absorbed all that he could of his past life.
Then, during the war, it became something other than military tactics, strategies, missions, and death counts to busy himself with. It was relaxing and eased his mind for a short time.
"I am listening, Agent Fowler," Optimus answered the human, his optics dilating at the screen from over Ratchet's helm.
"After loading those magnetic frequencies you supplied us into our satellites, we know it's located somewhere in the city ancient Greece."
Optimus almost nodded in confirmation, as though he expected it to be there. "I see. Bulkhead and Miko discovered and unearthed an Energon Harvester there several months ago." He informed.
"For The Relic to be in that same area would not be unbelievable."
Agent Fowler didn't respond for several clicks, but then the audio box beside his photo became active once more as he spoke.
"Unfortunately, Prime, I cannot allow you to deploy yourself or any of the Autobots to Greece. That option is completely off the table. Orders from General Bryce."
Optimus' eyes betrayed his neutral expression. Stressed and confused.
"And why is that, Agent Fowler?"
Fowler huffed disbelievingly, "You do realize how much damage your wrecker did to those historical ruins? It was all over National Television because those buildings are that important to Earth! You're lucky there wasn't any footage or else we wouldn't had been able to cover it up as an Earthquake!"
Optimus wanted to defend Bulkhead, knowing the Decepticons were the only reason anything of human value was destroyed. But he held his tongue. There was no point in bantering over something as small as that. This Autobot-Human alliance needed to be strong in order to keep their trust and peacefully operate on their planet.
"From now on we will handle obtaining any foreign objects legally," Fowler sighed, took a breath, and then continued. "The only exception we can allow is if a ship or anything obviously not of Earth is involved. It's better we risk Governmental disputes rather than exposing aliens to the world. Copy that?"
"I copy, Agent Fowler."
Another pause, what Optimus imagined was the human nodding to himself.
"Unfortunately, Greece has a few laws that prohibit the U.S Government, or any other
Government, in fact, from disturbing their ancient cities. For historical reasons." He continued.
The Prime tried his best to understand.
"In order for us to retrieve The Relic we will be hosting a meeting at the Pentagon with Greece's Governmental leaders and Historians.
Fortunately, I know one famous ancient Greek Historian personally. I will be flying out the Greece to speak with her privately tomorrow, I'll be offline until I return. If we're able to convince her, then perhaps she can persuade her leaders. We might just be able to get your Relic, Prime."
The mech wasn't sure why he needed to know these small details until Fowler spoke up once more.
"You're presence at the meeting will be required, Optimus Prime. Three months from now, April 26th. 2pm on the dot. Don't be late."
"...Understood," Optimus said unsurely, glancing down at the blue timer, half hidden by the shiny red armor on his arm.
Three months.
Perhaps a coincidence.
Perhaps not.
Either way, the most important objective was to obtain the information The Relic held before the Decepticons discovered its whereabouts.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"You came all the way here, to Greece, just to say hello?" I asked. "I find that very hard to believe, Agent Fowler. Especially with the amount the American Government pays." I said, scoffing.
Fowler swirled the glass in his hand lazily, slumped in the bar stool behind my kitchen counter unprofessionally. He huffed.
I dropped the remaining herbs into my own glass of Ouzo before bringing it to my lips and taking a long sip.
"
I get paid great, thank you very much," he countered my remark. "But yes, you're right. I'm not here to say hi. Sorry."
I held his gaze, my own expression relaxed and bored. I didn't like how casual he was acting in my home. Or the fact that he knew my adress in the first place, and just, showed up.
"Quite the opposite, actually, I have a business proposal for you, YN."
He had aged significantly since I last saw him. His cheekbones were more prominent, wrinkles in the corners of his eyes and a purplish tint hanging with lose skin under his eyes.
I raised a brow, "go on."
He was very much out of shape compared his Army Ranger days and had even achieved a beer belly. I found it hard to be intimated.
"Before I continue, for legal reasons, I need you sign these papers."
"Why." It wasn't a question, it was a demand.
"Because everything I'm about to tell you is Pentagon level classified. If we are to continue this conversation I need your signature."
"So I'm sworn to secretary?"
"Correct." He said plainly, pulling out a folder from the briefcase that laied on my counter.
The folder was grey, and it's cover had a logo that resembled a face made of blocky shapes.
I squinted at the logo skeptically as he flipped it open and pulled out several packets of paperwork.
He pushed one packet to me and grasped a pen from his jacket pocket, placing it beside the governmental documents. He leaned back, waiting.
I sipping the Ouzo again, "You haven't given me much reason to want to sign your super duper top secret Pentagon papers, Fowler."
He frowned, unimpressed with my response.
"You wouldn't have tracked me down, came all the way here, and be willing to spill your nasty government secrets if you didn't truly believe I'd be all hands in. Especially after the shit you pulled. So, tell me, what does the American Government want with some Historian from another country- what am I getting out of this arrangement?"
"Nothings getting passed you, huh?" He joked, adjusting himself in the stool until he was sitting properly. He leaned forward, holding his weight on the counter top with his elbows, hands claps together. The stool creaked under his weight. A grin spread on his face.
I waited for his elaboration, raising the glass to my lips for a third time. The morning sun was blaring through open windows of the kitchen, casting everything it touched in a golden glow. The marble counters glittered and the logo on the folder shimmered, metallic. I could hear the crashing waves on the beach clearly, and seagulls squaking. The crystal blue waters looked devine under the gentle touch of the sun.
"We need your help convincing your leaders into allowing the Pentagon to dig through ancient Greek ruins. We're looking for something quite specific. It is very important that we obtain it as soon as possible."
"Excuse me?"
"I know it sounds obsured, but what we're looking for is very valuable and we need find and uncover it before some really bad people do first. And if they find it before us, those precious buildings will suffer far more than they did during that Earthquake."
I let his words float around my head before shifting my wight onto one leg. "Are you implying that the destruction the ancient city endured a few months back wasn't, in fact, an Earthquake?"
Fowler's brows shot up in supposed shock, like he had been caught by his mother with his hand in the cookie jar.
I smirked.
"That's not at all- I wasn't implying anything! There was an Earthquake!" He defended.
"Right, because the aftermath of Earthquakes results in giant fists, foot, and oddly shaped body imprints all over the place."
Fowler's face grew hot. "Are you going to sign those papers or not, because I can neither confirm nor deny those statements until you do."
I snorted, "Alright, Alright. I'll bite. So what is the breif summary, that does not include the classified info, of what exactly you want from me?"
He opened his mouth but I cut him off.
"Other than, of course, whispering in the ears of Greek Government Officials for the benefit of another country."
Fowler face twisted into annoyance, taking a moment to gather his words before answering. "You know those ruins better than anyone else alive, your government trusts you to handle the city carefully. If you can convince them to allow America to operate here temporarily, we will have you lead our exposition yourself. Full control, no catch."
My eyes widened. I lowered my glass to sit on the counter top.
"We can get you a permanent position in the Pentagon related to every and all historical finds on American and Greek soil if this all plays out accordingly. You'll have the final decision on everything."
Holy shit.
"You're kidding."
"Like you said, I wouldn't have tracked you down and barged into your home if this wasn't something legit."
I stared at him, deciphering his tone of voice and expression, trying to determine the accuracy of his offer.
It seemed I would be taking more than I would be giving in this arrangement.
If this was anyone else proposing this, I might have told him to fuck off and get his American Swiss Cheese smelling ass out of my house.
But this was William.
I knew William. We became friends during my study abroad semester in collage.
However, halfway through the second quarter, William vanished. Police confirmed he had died.
There was a funeral.
But the ugly truth of it all, was that he joined a special devision of the United States Army, called Unit. E.
As he explained when he knocked on my front door. To which I responded with an alcoholic drink to calm my nerves because what the fuck dude.
I almost thought he was pranking me.
Maybe he had just dropped out and thought it'd be funny to tell people he was dead. But no, he had to be a Secret Agent with no identity or liable attachments.
Either way this situation was very not amusing.
This business proposal though? It was looking hella fine to me right now.
A job at the Pentagon, making all the final decisions on Historical monuments and artifacts on Greek and American soil?
Now that's an attractive position.
I reached for the pen, popping off the lid, and signed the front page. All while staring at his dead serious expression.
We were definitely going to have a talk about his funeral I skipped my midterm exams for in University. A long talk.
But first, I wanted to know everything.
Every single detail about this object they were looking for. About why it was so important, who else was looking for it. Why these people were so dangerous.
What answer I wasn't expecting, which made me spit out my Ouzo I was sipping all over my dead friend's face, was fucking alien robots and intergalactic wars.
What the fuck.

Fowler has tried his best to explain all he could about the non-orgainic alien titans that were currently enhabiting Earth. To my horror.
He had said that a small team of them were located in a remote place in America. A place called Jasper, Nevada. They were monitored by America's Secrect Government (Sector E-7) closely, and Fowler had the pleasure of being in charge of their operations (though at first he felt like a glorified babysitter, he had explained).
Upon seeing the look on my face the agent quickly dived into to defending the aliens' honor by telling me how devoted they were to protecting human kind, how they had saved his ass a handful of times, and how he owed them his life.
I was still mortified despite his storytelling.
T
hey called themselves 'AutoBots,' and there were only seven of them.
They had come from a planet made entirely of metal that was destroyed in a century long war. They had come here to Earth looking for something called Energon, which our planet was rich with at the time of their arrival. But when their enemies received their emergency beacon and followed them here, they had taken over all the mines containing the substances they came here for. Now, it was slim to by.
I stared out the window, watching the waves curl and crash.
"And what exactly is it that they need in the ruins?"
Fowler's amused grin flattered before dipping into a frown. "Energon. It's what they eat and use for medical emergencies. They don't have much left, not enough to attempt to take over a mine and attend to their injuries after. The Doctor, Ratchet is his name, has been trying to create a Synthetic Energon," he air quoted Synthetic Energon, "from half of the formula they have in their possession."
I nodded in semi-understanding.
"But as smart as Doc is, there's no way for him to complete it. Then, they uncovered a secret message in one of the writtings they had for the Synthetic Energon regarding another safe with the other half of the equation. We found its signature magnetic frequencies in Ancient Greece."
The photos I had taken and collected crossed my mind. I had them stored in a safe place, as their images were concerning.
"Do they have anything to do with that 'Earthquake' last September?"
Agent Fowler looked like he either wanted to laugh or rip out his curls. "Yes, unfortunately."
I did not feel the need to bring up that I had physical photograghic proof of alien footprints and body indents.
"One of the seven traveled hear looking for something. He found it, but unfortunately so did their enemies. They had a bit of a tussle," he elaborated.
I almost snorted at his choice of words, because from the damage I saw, it was much more than a tussle. However, the shock of all this information being poured into my brain kept me from doing so.
"Hm." I mused with stressed smile.
"I know it's a lot to take in," Fowler started. "And I understand if you need a day or two to let this settle. But I'm required to remind you that you signed those papers about secrecy - if any of this slips to anyone, there is nothing I can legally do to protect you from the consequences."
I held my breathe, anxiety sinking into my chest and dipping into the pit of my stomach.
"Wonderful," I stressed, finddling with my fingers.
"Great." He clapped his hands together excitedly, "So what do ya' say, filos? Are you in- are you on team Autobots?"
I pulled a face at the way he pronounced "filos." It felt weird hearing my dead friend repeating Greek slang to me. Also the term "Autobots" and "Team" coming out of William's mouth together sounded super cringy, like it was coming from that American cartoon my nephew watches on YouTube. (Teen Titains, I think?)
I was silent, thinking over my decision thoughtfully. Fowler stated at me expectantly, waiting for my answer.
Part of me was screaming while running in circles and waving red flags, making me bite my lower lip, chewing through the light skin as the anxiety planted in my gut blossomed. The other part of was wanting to agree, erging me to say yes and sign some more American Governmental Documents, because hell yeah, fucking aliens.
And after a solid two minutes of my brain fighting itself, I remembered what my Dad once told me. Do you want to look back at this twenty years in the future and say you had the guts to do it?
Except my Dad wasn't talking about giant ailens robots, or Goverment treaties, or alien artifacts with the knowledge of the cosmos.
"Yes."
He seemed pleased enough- scratch that, he looked absolutely ecstatic with my response before diving into another explanation.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Agent William Fowler left me several files to look over and study before leaving my home and flying back to America on his jet - which he had previously boasted about how the giant ailen robot docter, Ratchet, had upgraded and improved it to the point of it being the most advanced jet on planet Earth. I gave him a weak smile to show him that I was at least paying attention at the time. On the inside, I was screaming because this whole situation is fucking crazy and Fowler is fucking crazy.
Immediately after his departure I dashed to my obsveray, where I had placed the photos. It was a bit of a mess, papers decorating the marble floors and random knick knacks here and there. I tossed the files on a nearby table before approaching the large pin board where the photos that were pined to there. I held on to one while it hung, examining the photograph for the one hundredth time.
My eyes went from one photo to the next, and to the next, and to the next. Gripping them with such force I might have ripped them off the board. Each time I pushed my face so close to the sticky paper, noticing every crumb, every miniature detail.
Of course I had my suspensions with the indents and wreckage on the ancient sites. They looked as though they were imitating a human shape.
But this - this was a whole new level of insane. Except it wasn't insane, it wasn't some lame prank from an old college friend, it wasn't a theory. There was proof. There was proof, and I have it pinned to a brown board in my house. This was real.
I have proof of alien existence in my house.
Holy fucking shit.
Aliens exist.
Five year old me was pumping their fists in the air and shouting "I knew it," while wearing a baggy popcorn stained E.T t-shirt.
Adult me was freaking the fuck out. Because I'm a adult, and this is a natural adult reaction to fucking ailens.
It was finally hitting me that this wasn't some werid dream or prank show, there weren't hidden cameras.
I quickly snatched every photo from the board, careful to take them off the pin without damage.
I needed to hide them. I was sworn to secrecy now, there was no way I could let anyone see these photographs. Not my sister, her kids, or our Mom. Not even my cat.
I whipped my head around, searching for the evil fluff ball. She was sitting in the doorway staring at me.
I pressed the photos to my chest before shuffling over to a random box full of knick knacks, and shoved them in. And then taping it closed. And then pushing it behind more boxes.
My cat watched.
And then she stretched and went to scratch the door frame.
"Karma no!" I yelled, grabbing the little demon before she could ruin another door frame.
And then a thought crossed my mind, ceasing all governmental and cat related panic.
How the fuck do giant ailen robots travel from Navada, America, to the ancient City of Greece and then back overnight.
Karma licked my nose, adorably.

Optimus had exited his berth room after completing another file at exactly five forty in the morning during the pacific standard time, time zone. The base was already wide awake and the team was busying themselves.
When he entered the main area he quickly spotted Ratchet in his usual spot, in front of the green screens and working himself away. Bulkhead and Wheeljack were throwing a ball of bent metal half the size of the femme around as a form of a morning exercise. Arcee was in the corner, seated on the concrete floors and stretching her limbs, still sore from the previous day's encounter with a few stray Decepticon drones during her patrol.
As Optimus continued to venture into the large space, Bumblebee and Smokescreen emerged from the same hallway he had taken to enter the room merely seconds before. They had just awoken from they're own recharge and were babbling non stop to each other about the human racing sport.
Coming from behind, Smokescreen passed with a bright "Good Morning Sir!" With Bumblebee right on his tail and beeping to the Prime with a happy wave and a squint of his optics, imitating a smile.
"Good morning," Optimus answered, voice rough and groogily.
Optimus Prime had an awfully noticeable morning voice.
Ratchet paused his word to send the Prime a nod over his shoulder, with he had returned. The other shared their greetings to their leader as well, chipper in the fine morning.
Optimus patted the medical mech on the shoulder before approaching a set of even larger screens. All green and the keyboard raised high enough so the Prime didn't have to lean down in order to work efficiently. Ratchet had adjusted it a while back, worried the big guy would strain his back or something. They're old.
Soon, Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblee all transformed into there alternate modes, riding through the base entrance in order to pick their charges up from their respective homes and take them to their educational center.
Or, as the older of the two children prefer to adress it, the Torture Chamber.
The first time Optimus Prime heard them say that, he did massive amounts of research to ensure that no physical harm took place in the building of education.
The only thing he found that was of concern was something called "Fitness Gram Pacer Test."
He still worries.
After the trio dropped the children off at the Torture Chamer, they divided and patrolled the sweet desert town of Jasper Navada. After two ours of not seeing anything of a potential threat, Ratchet sent them each a ground bridge, were they furthered their patrol to several of parts of the country.
"Optimus," Ratchet begun, sighing tiredly. "Do you believe it is best that you attend this human contact intervention? The more strangers that know of us, the more likely we are to be notice by more organizations like Mech."
Optimus stopped typing for a second, switching his focus from his task to his old friend. "And you saw what a small group of Mech's organization did to Breakdown," Ratchet warned, "Imagine what a human could do with resources supplied by one of this planet's governments?" The medic shivered at the thought, absolutely terrified of the possibility.
"I am not keen of the idea, Ratchet, but it seems I have no other choice to comply. We need to find the relic before the Decepticons discover it is on Earth."
Optimus turned his helm to the short tempered Autobot, "However, while we stand on Earth's soil, where we are graciously allowed to operate by Earth's officials, it is best to followe Earth's rules."
Ratchet sighed, defeated, but continued his work.
It was only when the trio entered the base with the children, did Optimus realize how long the two had been working in front of the computers.
Jack removed his helmet before stepping off of Arcee and scurrying up the stairs, back pack in tough. Bumblebee swong open his passenger door for Raph to hop out of, before he and Arcee transformed. Raph followed Jack up the stairs, where they plopped down on the couch and immediately disregarded their homework and reached for the game controls.
"Sorry we're late," Arcee started.
"Miko had detention," Bulkhead finished, arriving a few seconds behind. Miko huffed before slamming his door shut.
"S'not my fault the stupid Art History teacher is so mean."
She stomped up the stairs, before all but throwing her backpack on the ground and sliding onto the couch beside Raph.
He offered her his remote and she happily took it, finishing off the race with Jack.
Wheeljack, having returned from an energon scouting mission with Smokescreen just minutes before their arrival, approached Bulkhead with a raised brow. "What is Art History?"
