Solar Panel Installation - Why Choose Solar Panel Installation in Brisbane?
With its sunny climate, Brisbane is one of the best places in Australia to use solar power. You can save money on your electricity bills and even earn money with a feed-in tariff if you install a solar system at home.
You can use a free online solar calculator from Captain Green to see how much you could save with a residential solar power system. It will also help you find the right size solar system for your needs.
Save Money on Your Electricity Bills
Solar Panel Installation Brisbane can save you up to $3000 per year on your electricity bills. However, this will vary depending on your energy usage and the efficiency of your solar system.
Your electricity consumption is recorded in kilowatt-hours (kWh). You can find out how many kWh you use each day on average by looking at past power bills. A solar system will produce a certain amount of kWh each day based on the weather conditions.
If you opt to install a battery storage unit with your Solar Installation Brisbane, the kWh produced will increase. Your yearly savings will also depend on your self-consumption rate – the percentage of your energy that is used inside your home. If your solar system is unable to consume all the electricity it produces, it will export a proportion of this power back into the grid. This is rewarded by the feed in tariff at around 10c for every kWh your solar system exports.
Increase the Value of Your Home
In addition to the savings you can make on your electricity bills, solar panels also increase your home’s value. Studies have shown that homes with solar energy systems are more appealing to potential buyers and can fetch a higher resale price.
There are also a number of generous Federal Government solar rebates available for Queensland homeowners that you can take advantage of. These include the Smallscale Technology Certificates and the Feed-in Tariffs. Check out the ‘latest info on QLD solar rebates’ section further down this page to find out what you could be entitled to.
Located in Brisbane, this retailer is well-known for providing quality solar panels and battery storage systems. They have a good reputation among customers and offer various financing options. They also provide a free online solar calculator to help you determine which system is best for your home. They sell panels from REC, Trina and Jinko, inverters from Fronius and Sungrow, and batteries from Tesla.
Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
Solar power is a clean, renewable energy source that does not produce harmful greenhouse gases. It is a sustainable solution that can help to slow global climate change.
Homeowners in Brisbane can save money on their electricity bills, increase the value of their homes and reduce their carbon footprint by embracing solar energy. There are also generous government incentives and rebates available, making it more affordable than ever to install solar panels in your home.
A typical 6.6kW solar system will pay for itself within 5 years and will continue to generate savings for the lifetime of the system. The average payback period can be reduced by reducing electricity usage during sunshine hours, choosing the right panel orientation and utilising energy-efficient practices. For example, a roof optimised for solar production in Brisbane will generate as much energy in winter as it does in summer. This is because the sun is more angled in winter than it is in summer.
Get Started Today
With abundant sunshine throughout the year, Brisbane is one of the best places in Australia to generate Solar Installation. You can save money on your electricity bills and earn money through feed-in tariffs by generating your own clean, renewable power with a solar system. It is also a great way to reduce your carbon footprint and protect the environment.
With so many benefits, it is no wonder that more and more people are making the switch to solar power in Brisbane. However, it is important to choose the right solar installer in order to get the most out of your investment. By doing your research, you can find a company that offers the best prices and the most comprehensive experience.
A good place to start is by comparing solar installation companies based on price (where available), company background, variety of panels and inverters, and customer reviews. You can also get a free quote from several companies by using the free online calculators.

The Best Solar Inverter Australia
A solar inverter is a vital component of a home solar power system. It converts the DC power generated by your solar panels into AC power to be used for powering appliances.
Austrian-based Fronius is a name that’s synonymous with quality in the solar industry. Their inverters are renowned for their performance levels and come with a 10-year warranty.
Sungrow Premium
If you are looking for an inverter with a good price point and quality, this is one of the best options available. It is also very easy to install and looks nice in your garage or at your home. Sungrow is a growing company and has great potential, they are even starting to offer 10 year warranties on some of their next generation inverters which is more than many other manufacturers can compete with.
Tumblr media
The residential SG series inverter range from Sungrow is one of the most popular Solar power inverter in Australia at the moment due to their competitive price and great reliability. This, combined with their service office in Sydney and good reputation for quality has helped them become the second largest selling solar inverter in Australia, behind Fronius.
The Sungrow Premium inverter has a built-in DC isolator and quick arc fault interrupter. This makes them a safe option for any solar system. They also have an LED screen that allows you to monitor your inverter if needed. This feature is a nice touch that most other inverters have dropped or removed from their models.
Solax Power X1
Solax came onto the solar inverter market quite late, but they have quickly made a name for themselves with their battery ready inverters. Their X-hybrid inverters are one of the most affordable in the market and come with a battery management system. Additionally, their inverters are Wi-Fi capable and allow you to monitor your system remotely through the slick SolaX Cloud app or website portal.
They use an MPPT system that optimises the match between the higher voltage DC output of your solar panels and the lower voltage needed to charge the batteries or feed into the grid. This results in a more consistent power output.
Another great feature of their inverters is that they are IP65 rated, meaning they can be installed outside without risk of damage from the elements. This also means they are able to offer an extended warranty of up to 15 years (compared to the standard 5-year guarantee). This is a huge selling point for consumers who want peace of mind knowing that their investment in solar will last for a long time.
SolarEdge HD Wave
The SolarEdge HD Wave single-phase inverter is a revolutionary grid tie inverter for residential solar systems. It uses innovative power conversion technology and a new design that eliminates the need for heavy cooling components. This allows for a smaller and lighter inverter, as well as increased performance and efficiency of up to 99%.
The inverter also features built-in protection designed to prevent DC arc faults, which are the main cause of PV system fires. This helps to keep installers and homeowners safe by shutting down the DC voltage in the PV wires when necessary.
With a low reported failure rate and 12-year inverter warranty, SolarEdge HD Wave is an excellent choice for your customers. It also provides easy access to panel-level monitoring and revenue grade production monitoring through mySolarEdge, helping you maximize your sales opportunities. In addition, it supports a range of revenuegrade meters and backup interface units. This allows you to easily offer EV charging, battery storage and other smart home upgrades.
Delta H5A-222
Delta H5A-222 is a very good single phase Solar power inverter for residential or small commercial applications. It is certified by the Clean Energy Council and comes with a 5 year warranty.
The inverter is made from a combination of cast and applied fins for heat dissipation. This is a big advantage over other inverters that have noisy fans which can reduce yield.
Another feature is a low PV startup voltage of 35v, meaning it can start up earlier in the day than many inverters. It also shuts down later in the day than some other inverters.
The other standout feature is that it has a built-in consumption energy meter (normally an extra $100-$150 on most inverters) which is very handy. This can be monitored on a web portal by you or your installer. This is a great way to see the performance of your solar system in real time.

Home solar power system buying guide
Buying a home solar power system can be a very exciting experience, but don’t get too carried away by advertising. Be sure to focus on the important aspects of your purchase as it’s a substantial investment and one you’ll be living with for a long time. The following are some buying solar tips on what to look for when purchasing a system.
Ask friends, family neighbours or colleagues who have had solar PV systems installed. Often the best buying solar tips com from right in your neighbourhood. They’ll be able to tell you about their experiences and perhaps alert you to any problems they experienced. Problems that you’ll be able to avoid. Learn more about potential issues in our consumers guide to solar power – avoiding tricks and traps.
Length of manufacturer’s warranty
Take note of what guarantees the manufacturer offers. If the manufacturer is reputable and the warranty period on the panels is substantial (at least 25 years) you would naturally expect your solar system to last long for a long time, long enough to pay for itself and make you a profit. However, for a warranty to be honoured, the manufacturer needs to be still operating. So, be cautious of brands without a track record in Australia. solar attic fan pros and cons https://www.solarafter.com/3-top-solar-attic-fan-pros-and-cons
Have realistic price expectations
If you are paying substantially less than many other similar size systems quoted, you may find poor quality equipment and/or poor installation work. Quality equipment and installation isn’t cheap and, like all other purchases, you often get what you pay for.
Compare components and warranty periods and check into the company providing the installation. While large, well established companies can pass on substantial savings due to increased buying power, other companies often reduce costs by cutting important corners.
Solar panel certifications
This applies to all solar panel purchases, but especially to the purchases that could attract a government rebate. The certification on solar panels indicates the type of testing that they have undergone. For instance, TUV IEC 61215 confirms that the solar panels have gone through testing by an independent laboratory and have met their advertised specifications. Other certification types are often self-assessed. Therefore, they rely on the company being honest in what it claims. Do Solar Work In Places That Gets Snow https://www.solarafter.com/do-solar-work-in-winter-or-in-places-that-gets-snow
Decide on the type of panels
It used to be the case that if you had limited roof space you would need highly efficient (and very expensive) mono-crystalline solar panels. This is rapidly changing with advances in polycrystalline panel technology and some thin film technologies. Still, even if you have ample roof space you may still want to consider panel sizes vs. output. Filling up your roof with inefficient panels will affect your ability to add more panels at a later date, and does not maximise the power output of the space.
It’s also important to bear in mind that regardless of claim, no solar panel technology will produce a significant amount of power in full shade. Learn more about monocrystalline vs. thin film panels.
Solar panel mounting
Make sure that the roof, ground mounting or tracking system is engineer certified for the area you are in. For example, if you live in a cyclone prone area make sure the mounting system  and mounting brackets are also cyclone rated. Quality systems are wind certified. After all you do not want your system to take off during a wild storm . The mounting system is a very vital component and some suppliers skimp on this item. Make sure you ask about wind certification, warranty arrangements and get copies of relevant documents.
Solar inverter efficiency
A power inverter is the box between the panels and your appliances that converts DC electricity from solar panels to AC suitable for use in your home. running a mini fridge on solar power https://www.solarafter.com/running-a-mini-fridge-on-solar-power-your-best-options
Not all solar inverters are equal and inverter efficiency will have a direct impact on the amount of time it takes for a system to pay for itself. Look at the inverter efficiency before purchasing a system. Obviously, the more efficient the inverter the better. Less electricity will be wasted as heat during the conversion from DC to AC. Industry leading solar inverters for grid connect systems in Australia include SMA, Sungrow and Fronius. Be cautious of  generic type brands.
Get a few solar quotes
It always wise to gather a few solar quotes when making a major purchase as you will find that prices vary widely between providers. But don’t be just swayed by price as inferior components can reduce the up-front cost of the system. However, they may wind up costing you more in the long run in terms of reliability and efficiency.
Avoid high pressure sales people
High pressure sales tactics are unfortunately common in the solar industry. Try not to make decisions on the spot, just ask the person to let you consider the offer. If it’s as good as they claim, it will still be a good deal tomorrow. Pressured decisions on the spot often turn out to be less advantageous in reflection.
High pressure sales people are only one of the pitfalls that may await you when you shop for a solar power system. Learn more about the potential issues and how to avoid them in our consumers guide to solar power – avoiding tricks and traps. solar panel kit for shed https://www.solarafter.com/best-solar-panel-kit-for-shed-and-small-cabins
One of the best buying solar tips is to make sure to use an accredited solar power system installer, certified by the Clean Energy Council.
