Even if you are successful in your calling, the rewards can differ. Some, like Mukesh Ambani, become the owner of the country's most valuable firm. Others, such as Sachin Tendulkar and Shah Rukh Khan, become unqualified leaders in their profession. Others, like Rahul Gandhi, have the opportunity to change the course of the nation's destiny if they so desire. Sunil Mittal, for example, has transformed India forever with his telecom activities while building a massive personal fortune. Ambition always starts with a dream, a goal. And, while money is a significant factor, I honestly doubt it counts all that much. Most people strive, excel, and achieve for motives other than financial gain. It is the desire to prove oneself.
However, not everyone who strives is successful. This is when awards and public recognition come into play. Awards recognize many other traits besides success: ability, hardship, effort, and, most importantly, greatness.
